    I don’t care what critics say, Temple of Doom was always my favorite Indiana Jones movie. Not only the plot and pace was more accurate to the old serials than Raiders was but, the dynamic between Indy and Short Round was absolutely unique and classic. And even Kate was really underrated in that fun part too. To me Temple of Doom still is the Indiana Jones I always come back to. I don’t believe I’m saying this, but I totally would go for a final movie reuniting Ke Huy Quan and Ford for the ultimate final Indy.

    • @icreateworlds
      @icreateworlds Год назад +2

      @@BRockIITWi I´m also one of those persons who simply does not get the Last Cruzade hype... I hated the initial opening segment with young Indie and the circus environment and the rest of the movie except for Sean Connery seemed more like a bad copy of James Bond put together with leftover scenes from Raiders than an actual new movie. It´s the only movie in the trilogy I simply have no desire to go back too. Even the ending felt more like something from a low budget movie than anything else. And in fact this ending is exactly the same as the one in a German 60s Western from a very popular series back then called Wannitou. It´s the exact same ending as the original Wannitou movie had in the first movie which I always found really funny. But overall I´m really on that small camp of people who can´t seem to have any fun watching the Last Crusade too.

    • @BRockIITWi
      @BRockIITWi Год назад +2

      @@icreateworlds My issue is how Indy gets all his trademarks in a 15 minute span of time. There's far too many jokes, it ruins any mystery of Indy as a character, and the film is overall trying to emulate Raiders after the TOD backlash. It grew on me over time, and it's not a bad entry, but it's nowhere near as entertaining as the first two. I actually went in with low expectations to KOTCS due to Last Crusade, and I liked it more than the average person. It's entertaining, but it's another attempt to copy vs making something original.

    It was such an awesome moment but also pretty much means no Short Round in Indy 5 unless they went back and added stuff and will save it as a surprise...which would be really cool.

      Destroy original footage
      Refilm
      Finish.
      Just for stupid fan demand.........

    He should have been a guest at Indy's wedding in 4. They didn't even try to pepper the guest crows with cameos

    He has the same charisma he did as a child. Give this guy more work. It's so bad to say but all of us did the terrible Asian accent back in the day "No time for love Docta Jones".

    Him and Shia LaBeouf would be class doing a future Indiana Jones film. Both are great actors and could add something new tone wise and still be a great contrast to each other. Plus both can carry the physicality and skills required in fight and action sceens

      I really want Short Round and Mutt Williams to meet. Yes I know Mutt apparently died in Dial of Destiny but that's nothing a little retcon can't fix.

    They gotta bring in Shortie in the next Indiana movie, perhaps saving Jones’ life and taking charge in a scene.

    Great story. Loved Short Round. There is precedence in the comics and canon about Short Round being an archeologist. Indy brings him back and a rich family adopts him and he goes to college to follow in Indy's footsteps. In the 80,s they printed, "The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones", where Short Round helped him find Atlantis, and goes back to boarding school. In "The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones" Shorty is now an archeologist and sets out to find the Peacocks Eye, the diamond Indy lost in the beginning of "The Temple of Doom", that was like 2008. Hell, they even had a crossover with Star Wars where they find the remains of Hans Solo, not canon, but, they had many adventures together, just not in the movies....
