There is several who are nominated that I hope get their due. Ke, Jamie, Michelle, and James Hong, and Brendan Fraser. I'm really rooting for them this Sunday.
I love how Jamie Lee encourages & uplifts others, in an industry that sometimes gravitates toward pettiness and drama. It doesn't seem to be an act she puts on - this is genuinely who she really is. Jamie was also one of the FEW people who had nothing but nice things to say about her Freaky Friday co-star, Lindsay Lohan, in the past - before the Netflix comeback era, before it became trendy to root for her - when the press and industry had written her off. It didn't surprise me to discover that they have stayed in contact for two decades since filming wrapped. Such a beacon of an actress, with warmth and generosity of spirit!

@IamLegend32 for the exception of Jayden, and maybe Sofia, I wouldn't put Colin that category. He's good enough to get roles on his own. Like his dad, he started out on TV. OShea is debatable
@@IamLegend32 you cannot sustain a near 50-year career getting top roles for decades JUST by being a celebrity’s child. It may have gotten Jamie Lee’s foot in the door a lot easier but to have a career like hers, you MUST have talent. In Hollywood, even these days, you still have to have talent. Let’s see Jaden Smith or O’Shea Jackson pull that off, even with their parents’ sway.

Not only is she a beautiful person in and out, she has the good fortune to be married (for 39 years no less) to another who also is warm, humble, and positive but much more quiet. This awards season it has been great seeing her rejoice with her co stars but right there, quietly supporting her, has been Christopher Guest. She frequently reaches for his hand or just to touch him. That is a true soul mate and I love that she found that. Reportedly after the Oscars they went to the ball so she could get her name engraved on the statue, then they went home together instead of partying and he made her breakfast in the morning.
And now three of them won Oscars!!! 🏆🏆🏆 I really am amazed the love and support in their friendship ❤❤❤ I respect Ke Huy Quan's wife, Daniel Kwan's wife & mother , Michelle Yeoh's mother and Ang Lee's wife. Their support is how they succeed and keep their dream keep rolling !! Love Jamie Lee Curtis too she's so wonderful 💕 So does Staphanie Hsu, I am all of their fan now. Congratulations to them all !! My favorite activity of this past year is crying tears of happiness for this cast during their amazing interviews. It'll be so upsetting if none of them win at the oscars, but it won't matter- that won't invalidate the incredible heart that went into this project
Ke is a great and underrated actor. He performs with so much vulnerability, and he has a very powerful presence on screen at the same time. I have no idea why he hasn't had much success until now.
Because Ke came of age before the notion of color blind casting and before Hollywood believed that Asian casts could be economically successful. He's been quite open in interviews and his award acceptance speeches about why he stopped acting & how watching Crazy Rich Asians led him to believe he could return to acting. He also revealed that, even though he had several auditions after he filmed eeaao, it wasn't until after the film came out that he started booking jobs. Ke has a really special, unique energy about him like Jack Black or Owen Wilson do & I hope his performance in eeaao inspires people to develop projects with him in mind like they do for JB & OW.
@@yellowonesdontstop Right. Glad to see there is progress, I did not know it was that bad. I love those comparisons. I like the idea that he could be one of those one-of-a-kind character actors who immediately puts their positive stamp on the film (like Owen, Jack Black). He's got the chops for sure.
Because almost no child actors ever successfully transition into adult careers. Usually because their cuteness as kids fades away and they don't look enough like supermodels to be cast in anything after that.
The Oscars show had such a good vibe this year, and it had a lot to do with the underdogs and the second chances, and people who were truly grateful to be even nominated. Maybe it was the Academy trying to get the bad taste of last year's ceremony off it's mouth. There may have been nominees that put in better performances, but it was nice to see Jamie and Ke win. The voters did the right thing. The Academy brought a much needed feel-good and Hollywood-ending spirit to the show.
Jamie Lynn Curtis is the kind of person I really respect since she works very hard but she shows so much genuine respect for her co-workers I also love how Ke frequently brings up his wife and how much she means to him
Jesus can I just click on ONE key huy Quan video without him making me cry?! Lol. I feel like if I saw him on the street I’d just start crying and hugging him.
I loved the movie and the passion of the cast and crew is PALPABLE. When people care about their craft and coworkers this strongly, you can truly feel it through their performance.
I really hope that both JLC & Ke will win an Oscar in their respective categories. Both were terrific in the movie. EEAAO is really the best movie to come not only in 2022 but also in more than a decade!
You just know, as she alluded to in her speech, her life has just reached its peak experience and she's totally fullfilled! Not many people experience that in life! Not a person on the planet isnt happy for her! Its somehow like we all won! 👍🙏❤️
With how much heart and passion these two have not only for the art of film, but for each other, it's no wonder that bled through the screen and made such an incredibly special piece of cinematic history.
Having grown up loving Indiana Jones and the Goonies, I am SO STOKED that Ke is getting another chance to pursue his dream and beyond the moon that he's succeeding and is getting so much recognition and love.
After hearing about scumbag after scumbag in Hollywood, it's so nice to see two genuine and authentic human beings getting their props. They certainly deserve it. Honestly, I didn't even recognize Jamie until I saw the credits! She totally embodied her character. First time I saw EEAAO, I knew it was an instant cult classic. And I enjoyed it just as much the second and third time.
The 3 Best Actors from this movie are all so genuine and likeable IRL. Most winners thank multiple people in their acceptance speeches but the true humility and generosity of spirit of Quan, Curtis and Yeoh really came thru in theirs.
Incredible interview. Ke Huy is awesome, so happy for him. I'm 53 so I remember him in The Goonies & The Temple of Doom. It is so good to see great things happening to great people with such kind souls. Jamie Lee Curtis is and will always be an absolute Rock Star.
This is not just acting, this is connecting at a human level! Personally, this movie should win the Best Movie Oscar, cause it is everything (no pun intended) all at once. Its drama, its comedy, its action, its romance, its sci phy, its about love and acceptance and its a compelling story we all can relate to. Then as a cherry on top you have this inspiring talented cast that leaned on each other for support and I cant helped but be moved by all of them and their long awaited journey to get nominated for their magnificent performances. No other movie ever nominated has as much as this one gives and then some. Hands down the best movie and best acting and it deserves that recognition.
I also teared up watching this. But also have emotions with the whole "Why have I not seen Ke acting for this long?" Ke was one of my childhood acting heroes on the screen. Heck, and while I completely recognize the talent of the cast, seeing Ke show up in front of a camera again was one of my biggest draws to make sure I HAD to see this movie. Again, not the only reason, but seeing him return was something I've waited so long...so long for. Keep going Ke. I've been a big fan of yours since the 80s. It's times like this I wish I got into directing and was successful, because he'd be in my list of actors who would always have work. Ke is one of those who really made an impression on me, growing up.
Jamie Lee - for everybody who saw Halloween when it first came out - it was a great performance all the way back then. (and same for her 2 female co-stars). Love her and she's totally deserving. Glad for once the Oscars awarded prizes to the cool people. Who made an uplifting film.
Ke has got to be one of the genuine and nicest guys in movies ever. If there is any justice, he will be in any project he wants for the rest of his life. I'd watch anything if he's in it.
When I first saw the trailer for this film, I knew immediately I need to watch this film in theaters when it's released last April. Then after I saw it, I immediately said this is my favorite film of 2022 and that I wouldn't be surprised if it wins best film of year at the Oscars. I'm still waiting for the latter to happen, but I have good feeling that it will.

Reportedly after the Oscars they went to the ball so she could get her name engraved on the statue, then they went home together instead of partying and he made her breakfast in the morning.
Omg I’m in tears now too, such beautiful souls 😊
So beautiful....
Ke credits Jamie Lee....
Jamie Lee credits Michelle.....
And, Michelle credits everyone....
These people are so graceful....
Ke and Jamie both won the Oscars. Couldn't be a better ending after watching this
he has so much gratitude he deserves this more than anyone
These people are just incredible. So sweet so genuine and so deserving of all the success.
Watching this interview after the Oscars and Jamie Lee deserved that Oscar moment for her kindness.
And now three of them won Oscars!!! 🏆🏆🏆
I really am amazed the love and support in their friendship ❤❤❤
I respect Ke Huy Quan's wife, Daniel Kwan's wife & mother , Michelle Yeoh's mother and Ang Lee's wife. Their support is how they succeed and keep their dream keep rolling !!
Love Jamie Lee Curtis too she's so wonderful 💕
So does Staphanie Hsu, I am all of their fan now.
Congratulations to them all !! Love truly exists !!! ❤
Beautifully said
Thanks for the compliments ❤
Congratulations Jamie Leigh Curtis and Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeo and all involved with this movie!
My favorite activity of this past year is crying tears of happiness for this cast during their amazing interviews. It'll be so upsetting if none of them win at the oscars, but it won't matter- that won't invalidate the incredible heart that went into this project
My favorite activity of the past year was watching reaction videos and crying 🤣
Oh man this made me tear up. So much emotion.
This interview shows exactly why this movie is so good. They really put everything they have into this movie.
I love Ke Huy Quan, he is so sensitive ❤
This movie just proved that being kind, being genuine is all that needs for something magical to happen.
It's so hard to imagine Ke being insecure after seeing him in the movie, but hearing of his pain and struggle, I get it.
Only now do I realise what an incredible human being and a generous actress Jamie Lee Curtis IS!
HUGH RESPECTS AND LOVE ❤🥰🥰
Jamie Lynn Curtis is the kind of person I really respect since she works very hard but she shows so much genuine respect for her co-workers
I also love how Ke frequently brings up his wife and how much she means to him
Amazing! Two supporting actress nominations, one supporting actor nomination, and one best actress nomination in one movie. Never happened before.
This kind of emotional authenticity from the actors really comes out in the film, I think... well deserved.
I hope Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis win Oscar, they are good actors and nice people!
Jesus can I just click on ONE key huy Quan video without him making me cry?! Lol. I feel like if I saw him on the street I’d just start crying and hugging him.
Honestly, I feel like very few times is the best picture so popular and accessible like this one is. I hope it wins, the correlation is perfect
I think Ke will definitely win, but man I don’t get what the voters decide all the time
They did! 😭🌈🌈🌈
Wow! Talk about a historic Oscar winning 🏆 interview! 😮 Amazing 🤩
This cast is so in love with each other. After 3 years, they are still so connected.
3 years is nothing as Ke is still close to his Goonies buddies and that is nearly 40 years now.
Jamie Lee Curtis!! 🥰❤❤ Ke Huy Quan 👍👍👍❤❤
So glad these 2 nice people won the Oscar!
You just know, as she alluded to in her speech, her life has just reached its peak experience and she's totally fullfilled! Not many people experience that in life! Not a person on the planet isnt happy for her! Its somehow like we all won! 👍🙏❤️
Sensational that they both won. Bring them back for a post Oscar interview. Its just too surreal.
And they all won their well-deserving Oscars! Bravos and Congrats!
With how much heart and passion these two have not only for the art of film, but for each other, it's no wonder that bled through the screen and made such an incredibly special piece of cinematic history.
This is why that movie was so good.
Having grown up loving Indiana Jones and the Goonies, I am SO STOKED that Ke is getting another chance to pursue his dream and beyond the moon that he's succeeding and is getting so much recognition and love.
bro why is the movie AND the cast BOTH so fucking wholesome
After hearing about scumbag after scumbag in Hollywood, it's so nice to see two genuine and authentic human beings getting their props. They certainly deserve it. Honestly, I didn't even recognize Jamie until I saw the credits! She totally embodied her character. First time I saw EEAAO, I knew it was an instant cult classic. And I enjoyed it just as much the second and third time.
Now you guys are OSCAR WINNING ACTORS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!✝️🙏💃🎊
The 3 Best Actors from this movie are all so genuine and likeable IRL. Most winners thank multiple people in their acceptance speeches but the true humility and generosity of spirit of Quan, Curtis and Yeoh really came thru in theirs.
I would love to see an Oscar tie for Jaime and Stephanie. Their performances deserve it
I feel like Jamie deserves it as the overdue acting legend, but Stephanie deserves it for her performance. I’d be really happy either way.
Good news! She did win an Oscar 🎉
Love Jamie helping all those around her. Constantly building others up. She should have won an Oscar a long time ago.
Incredible interview. Ke Huy is awesome, so happy for him. I'm 53 so I remember him in The Goonies & The Temple of Doom. It is so good to see great things happening to great people with such kind souls. Jamie Lee Curtis is and will always be an absolute Rock Star.
The fact that they won fills me with joy
Man these 2 had me tears up countless times lol
Ke Huy Quan needs to win SAG and then the Oscar
Dang! I’m crying again about this movie! True Beauty of Spirit💐
This kind of love and support on set is how it should always be. What beautiful people.
so much for being nominated. well done to both of them. oscar WINNING actors.
I love how all of the actors/actresses supported one another. The world needs to be show a little more kindness…😊
Hands down the best movie and best acting and it deserves that recognition.
oh man. well let's hear it for the host for brilliantly keeping his mouth shut and letting this ride.
As an Asian American, Ke made us all proud and was our defining moment in Hollywood. He signified that we have arrived.
They both have just won the Oscars!
Ke has got to be one of the genuine and nicest guys in movies ever. If there is any justice, he will be in any project he wants for the rest of his life. I'd watch anything if he's in it.
She’s right. He is amazing. It was obvious when he was a kid that he had a real natural talent. He just needed to feel it again.
They deserve every award and nomination they get. Best movie I've seen in a very long time! These two are class acts!
The amount of beauty in this clip is ‘unbearable’!!!!
