Instead of leaving graffiti, I would have left some flowers in memory of David and Betty.
yeah its pretty disrespectful from these "edgy" teens, doubt they would feel the same if it was their relatives who were murdered there.
@@SleepscapeSerenity absolutely
@@SleepscapeSerenity The graffiti isn't to be disrespectful, the city workers immediately remove flowers, candles, etc. most people do pay their respects, but they leave graffiti to let others know it's the right spot. I live near in Vallejo and have seen flowers in the past.
People have in the past, but city workers immediately remove it.
@@SleepscapeSerenityexactly that was very selfish. It’s all fun & games for people like that until it’s their loved ones.
One of the craziest unsolved mysteries in history. Also one of the spookiest, knowing how close to my home this is.
@@gorybits. The Zodiac could possibly be your neighbor.
@@johnharrison9685 or his relative...
The movie genuinely convinced me it was Arthur Leigh Allen or the retied guy that work at the movie theater. The world will never know.
Vallejo PD also recently phuc Ed up the Haskins case.
found the killer
Call me old fashioned, but I feel it's insanely disrespectful to the memory of the two souls that were murdered & their families to leave markings fashioned after their killer at the site where their lives were senselessly taken
Respect is extinct. Haven’t you noticed?
It is extremely disrespectful. But the people who leave those messages are the original old school edgy internet trolls who don't really have any regards for peoples emotions, you know.... just like serial killers. If it were their own mother or father they wouldn't leave those messages, but because it was a long time ago and not related to them they don't give a shit. You can't stop morons unfortunately. Never mind two innocent teenagers who had their lives cut short, let's leave messages glorifying the killer because we are degenerates!
@@utterlybrilliant Exactly. That's the major issue I have with many recent movies, documentaries, & TV shows like "Very Scary People." They often glamorize the killer & their victims are basically made footnotes. The consequence of doing that is those markings; a total disregard for human life & violating the victims even in death
Spot on comment 100% agree with you.
Losers.
It's such a creepy mystery. Just killing for no real reason other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time and he is still unknown. That's why people scare me more than any paranormal activity. Thank you so much for sharing another awesome video.

The second ZODIAC site is a five minute drive from where you were at.
Correct, only The parking lot has changed dramaticly over the years.

Your channel is legit. You combine everything I love. True crime, pop culture, scary movies. And you guys do quality work. Thanks.
What I love about watching you is, the amount of detail and the way you tell us the story. It has me hooked. Thank you.
I honestly live for your videos. I wanna say thank you for all the work you put in your videos. It shows. 🔥
Thank you for that and watching Kenny. Means a lot.
“The killers character in “Dirty Harry” was nick-named Scorpio. He was played by Andrew Robinson, whom I swear should’ve won an award for his very intense part played to the hilt. Andrew also appeared in “Hellraiser” films, playing such a creepy person! He’d be a great interview. He’s 80 now and teaches acting somewhere in CA.
Ohhhhh yeaaaahhh,Another great video from you guys. The next 12minutes of my life is set :) Nice one.I hope you both are doing good.Greetings from Norway ,Stefan
You should do the "night stalker" (Richard Ramirez) murder sites and capture of him by citizens and police.
That dude was caught by a kid. There's a interview about the kid on how he caught him.
@@JoelMartinez-ts1hr nah the kid recognised him but the neighboors caught him
Yeah an beat the shit outnof him to while twy waited for police to get there
@@JoelMartinez-ts1hrkid called the police and so did everyone else who saw him. But the guys in the neighborhood actually held him down until the police showed up.
This story has always fascinated me-one reason why, much of what transpired with the Zodiac happened in and around where I live. Passing by places where the Zodiac said he stood or where the murders took place is such an eerie and lonely feeling. Thank you for this video.
Love your videos, keep them coming! Peace and love from Ireland 🇮🇪
I was born and raised in Concord just a few miles away, and Zodiac remained hauntingly fresh in our minds, even when I was in high school late 70's early 80's. We were real careful where we chose to go to make out even some 10 years or so after the first murder.
Do you know John Petullo?!
@@Chriskills1313 I don't think so...The name does not sound familiar.
He went to Concord High, and his father Mike Petullo was a student councilor at Clayton Valley High.
I was 17 in 1975. I was the town of Modesto. I was walking five miles through orchards and long two lane roads. It is a lonely road & you actually not see very many cars. On this warm day a car drove by three different times so I knew someone was following me. I walked deep into the orange trees and waited then he came again a forth time and stopped along the roadside. I ran. Finally found a church on a road and darted in. The guy in the car also parked in the church lot. He finally left after 30 minutes. I was sweating. A few weeks later a sketch giving a description of the possibility of WHO could be the Zodiac Killer was on TV & newspapers. It was the same description as the man in the car following me. It haunted me. I feel very fortunate to this day.
Was the church abandoned at the time?
@@stonerwhogames7235 it could have been, I don't really remember.
@@stonerwhogames7235 there was noone there I can say that.
@billlozier5551, there’s never been any orange orchards in Modesto, CA… just trees that produce almonds, walnuts, peaches, plums, apricots, and cherries. Now it’s mostly houses and strip malls!! And all of the canneries were moved down to Mexico!!
@@RiverRat_1977 I wrote orchards. I didn't say oranges so I'm not sure what your comment is trying to say. Things change? Duh.
You always make my day when you post.
I have recently just discovered your channel and I gotta say y’all are amazing at what y’all do.Keep up the great work!!
Gotta love that rare occasion when RUclips actually comes through with the recommendations. Subbed.
Watching the new broadcast of myth of the zodiac killer, and lo and behold, there's Grimm on my tv! Well done guys!!
Alright love jessica hand and arm gestures & mannerisms. It really makes the videos ALOT BETTER. Doing outstanding job brother.
I am so binge watching you alls videos! You do these documentaries perfect and thank you for sharing your trips!
I was a kid in SF at the time of the Zodiac..He scared the crap out of us. I went to high school with Toschi's daughter. Crazy times!
We were in the San Joaquin valley then and I remember how the teachers were telling us that walked home from school walk in groups and go straight home! Even our teachers were scared then.

Outstanding post!!!
Thank you for all your fantastic work😊😊
Love your vids but got to say that bat mobile theme tune is the dogs ghoulies!
I live a few miles from this site. I remember our parents being so freaked out about the Zodiac that they tried to stop us from going trick or treating on Halloween. We went out anyway for an extra scary Halloween even though the Zodiac threatened kids that night. Up north another 40 miles at Oak Shores/ Lake Berryessa the Zodiac killed another young couple. Super Creep.
I remember well ,scary time I was 8 and My parents wouldn’t let us Go , There as a Man that claims his DAD was Zodiac ,He found Hoodie stuffed in an old WiFi And some Sings of trademark on papers in dads home. All was turned over to FBI. Never confirmed.
Sad
At the Lake Berryessa he killed the woman, the man barely survived.
@@Chef-Really5365 interesting; what was this fellow's name?
@@Ella-iw7xn Bryan Hartnell, who is now an attorney in S. California.
Thanks for taking the time to go to this scene and detail the area. Zodiac still scares us after all these years.
I live in Vallejo. I believe the gate was further up at this time, there used to be a big no trespassing sign years ago. They took it down because someone spray-painted a huge zodiac target on it, purposely so people could find the spot. I had endless birthday parties down the road at Blue Rock Springs park which was the site of the second murder where the male survived. You guys should have visited there you were only about 10 minutes away.
That story is documented with a video too.
This is right on time! Thank you!
Always very well presented videos, filming in 4K makes it even more viewable. Love from Scotland 🏴
Awesome video as always
For some reason I always imagined the crime happening on a hill away from the road. Really interesting to see the real site. Very sad that these young souls were taken so soon and in such a senseless way. I can't even begin to imagine what this was like for their family and friends.
In from that area in fact me and my friends used to party out on Lake Herman Rd.My aunt went to school with the Zodiacs 1st 2 victims. She knew David reall well.
Thanks for posting this. Having grown up in the Bay Area, I was well aware of the crime, but your visit to the scene makes the story much more visceral.
Your love and appreciation for history makes this one of my favorite channels. There are several people doing this on youtube that have been doing it longer, but not better. I'd really love to see a deeper dive on locations related to The Black Dahlia case, if you're taking requests.
I'm obsessed with this channel omg

Love all the videos keep up the great job!
So crazy! Awesome video. I love watching the zodiac movie because this mystery has always intrigued me.
I went/drove thru to site 2 years ago and the road was being re-paved. Stopped at nearby lake a few miles down and the vibe was very errie and lonely. This was around noon, still only a few people were around. I could feel that terrible things had happened. Very spooky.
Your videos are fascinating. Amazing stuff!
Thank you for publishing this video! 🙏❤✌👌👍💀💀💀💀
Love this. Please do the other Zodiac sites!
Interesting tidbit about my family history. Both my aunt and uncle are in the book "Zodiac" and police reports. My grandparent's ranch is located in the area of the first murder. I worked with one of the original deputies that responded to the first finding of victims.
What else interesting new things can you tell us? Lee Allen was definitely not a zodiac, judging by DNA and fingerprints, but in addition to the trailer, his house should have been thoroughly checked at the time when he was a suspect, don't you agree, mister?
Hey guys it justin! :) I just ran into you guys in San Francisco! Awesome to meet my favorite RUclipsrs! I’m now subscribed to you guys on both of my channels !
I can’t wait to see the China Town video!
It was really nice meeting you and your family too. And thank you for the gifts and glad you guys found us again after you found your wife
I was 12 living in Fairfield not far from Vallejo and riding our bikes out to Rockville Park and Mankas corner with not a care in the world. Thank goodness I really didn't know at that age what was going on.The guy was literally in our backyard.
In small rural towns most people don’t pay much attention to random gun shots it’s a daily thing depending on where you live or visit
True, usually just ranchers, LE, hunters, target practice, etc. in most rural parts of America.
Really good presentation and informative. I hope you do all the Zodiac locations. It is a very haunting history.
Frustrating that we’ll never know who he was and he just got away with it
Was it a he?
It was Arthur Allen

Great video, very well done. I grew up in the bay area and always heard stories of the Zodiac killer from my parents. Especially since my family owned a house on Lake Berryessa which is not far from where this video was shot and the location of another attack on a couple some 10 months later. You drove all that way, you should have gone to the Berryessa location as well!
Well done! Much better than a lot others!
Hey buddy, new to your channel. Started watching about 2 weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since. You quickly became my favourite channel on RUclips. Thankyou for posting these videos. Keep em coming. Love from the UK 🇬🇧❤
Another somewhat somber thing about this case is that he's probably long dead and thus got away with it all.
Criminal profiling suggests he would have been a middle aged man, so its likely he would have died quite a while ago.
God did not let him get away.

Good video bro. I am going to try to put together a video on the coastal killer in SC
I used to go camping in Lake Berryessa as kid in the 80s with family. My mom would tell me watch out for The Zodiac when swimming. I refused to go in the lake. She would just laugh. I was The Zodiac for Halloween later in life. Scared lots of people.
Aw hell, I'll pass! I'll stick with like, Knots Berry Farm, thanks!
This channel is Sublime, glad I found it! I bet that parking spot is hella spooky at night since they never caught the sob!
Thank you so much for this video. I am a born and raised Bay Area girl who has been fascinated with this story from the moment I heard about it.
CA known for many infamous serial killers. The Zodiac Killer, however, continues to fascinate many crime enthusiasts due to the fact he was never identified with certainty by authorities.
We went out there and to Blue Rock Springs which is like a mile away. Also Zodiac Island at Lake Berryessa is hard to find at certain times of the year. Great video. Love the Fincher movie too
Thanks for sharing locations of murders. 5 years crazy.
Fantastic! I was wondering if you two were gonna check out any Zodiac locales when I saw your last Dahlia video from the SF area.
I just love the beginning Music. Fits your videos perfect.
I couldn't help but visit this spot as well as Blue Rock Springs Park (crime scene #2) almost immediately when I moved to Vallejo.
1/30/22. Really like your videos. !!!!! Your Intro reminds of another show i really loved it was called The Incredibly Strange Film Show. 👍👍👍🎊🎊☺😁
Thanks for making a video about this spot! The zodiac case is crazy and mind-blowing that we’ll probably never know who it was. I read the entire zodiac book in 2 days because of how intriguing it is
That cut out where you parked was a lot further back 50 years ago. If you look at the picture you can clearly see how much closer the 2 hills are in the back ground.
Great video!!! 💘
Thank you for this great video of the crime scene.I am right in the middle of reading the book by the man who claims his father was the zodiac killer. I am old enough to remember these murders, and much of the coverage over the ensuing years. It seems to be in neverending story.
Always a treat Grimmlife! Fun fact: Actor Vic Tayback, who was well known for playing "Mel" on the comedy sitcom "Alice", was looked into as a suspect for these crimes at one time. It seems they've since decided it wasn't him ; )
No way 😳 that's wild. He doesn't seem the type to me, I always got a good vibe from him on Alice.
@@lorimiller4301 Yes me too. That show always made me laugh Theyd insult his cooking and he'd tell them to "Stow it" lol
