_"This is nightmare."_ Probably Armani is the Nightmare in DS:MOM. After knowing that there's a universe out there that Christine doesn't need to die, he's gonna a find a way to travel that universe, and the first to notice him is Christine having a Nightmare.
Hey all, my husband, who is not nearly as nerdy as I am on the MCU, immediately asked at the end of the episode when we saw Strange stuck in his prison: "Hey, where have we seen a purple gem that contains a bunch of power before?" Hmmmmm....
Theres nothing you can do to change an "Absolute Point In Time". Strange went mad and destroyed his own reality in order to bring Christine back........and you couldn't help but feel bad for him
It’s not interesting how the limbs of that thing still move, it’s simply how squids works. They have parts of their brain inside their tentacles making it so they move a lot even after getting cut
The "absolute point" is a recurring theme in time-travel fiction. Though it's usually called something else, the concept is the same: a point in time that cannot be altered.
What’s interesting about the absolute points logic is that there was a similar explanation like this in X-men days of future past when they talked briefly about time correcting itself
I don’t think absolute points apply to Kang and quantum MCU timelines and all that. Instead it’s a purely time stone based rule. You can’t use the time stone to go back in time if you never get the stone in the first place. Christine has to die for the timestone to be in stranges possession. If this was Quantum time travel it wouldn’t matter, the timeline would branch and you could do whatever in that timeline
You could think of it as a strictly time travel rule outright, rather than a dimensional travel rule. Otherwise each use of the timestone would've made like a bajillion nexus events.
Movie: Christine: No one could have done better. Strange: I could have done better. Episode: Ancient One: You cannot reverse an Absolute Point. Strange: Nothing is impossible. I only require more power.
To me is crazy the power Strange showed in this episode, it’s now canon he can gain enough power to destroy an entire universe with the right push.. Reeeally excited for Mutliverse of Madness now!
Those are definitely not griffins and sphinxes though. Griffins have eagle heads, and the human headed ones are very clearly Assyrian Karibu. I would say the structure is clearly designed to have an Babylonian/Assyrian/Sumerian influence.

Actually the opposite. The episode ends with the universe being as big as the sphere he casted to protect himself. So in a way he became the biggest thing in the universe. This is pretty poetic because the universe that allowed his arrogance to win is the same one that makes him the loneliest, guiltiest, etc.
Awful.
I actually believe that each reality has It’s owns absolute points, not the entire MCU multiverse itself
I wonder if iron mans death was such a point
@@WonkelDee it was, it was the only way they could win. Think about it Thanos was gonna snap and win REGARDLESS, Tony absolutely had to die.
@@PrinxeGaming_just because it was the only way they could win, doesnt mean that was the only outcome. That actually means that it wasnt a fixed point in time. The other possibilities were realities where he doesnt die and thanos wins. It isnt a fixed point if there are a billion different outcomes
@@alexheilbrun2332 aaaah ok I see wym. Tbh idk what’s fixed really in the MCU. I guess origin stories maybe
@@PrinxeGaming_ yeah true. I like thinking about this stuff, it's fun to ponder
The Ancient One told Strange, that he needed Mordos immovable strength ,as much as, Mordo needed Stranges flexibility.
Without that immovable strength Strange tumbled down the rabbit hole.
Dr. Strange tried to save Christine’s life several times but never once did he try to save the Ancient One’s life.
Strange is definitely the strongest Avenger. He’s become one of my favorites aside from Spidey.
I'd say Strange HAVE potential to become the strongest Avenger. The problem with Strange was he have to limit himself to achieve desired result when he search of winning probability each and every time so he didn't disturb the balance of cosmos of some sort.
@@kluangh1tam now THAT is strong as heck! Balance is still a form of strength.
@@jaetok my fav are :- spiderman, doc strange , thor and wanda/scarlett witch they r pretty strong too
Also when O’Bengh tells strange that he is half of himself, his face marking, which covers half of his face, is faded, showing how strange has lost himself in trying to become more powerful
This was probably my favorite episode so far. I started off not really liking this series very much but each episode it just keeps getting better and better.
Incredible episode that doesn't shy away from the ending. Love it.
This story is good for anyone who's going through a lost of a love one
Yew of course My girlfriend died and i decided to go eat some dragons and kill the world
_"This is nightmare."_
Probably Armani is the Nightmare in DS:MOM.
After knowing that there's a universe out there that Christine doesn't need to die, he's gonna a find a way to travel that universe, and the first to notice him is Christine having a Nightmare.
DS MOM sounds like the gamer tag of a twitch streamer mom
Hey all, my husband, who is not nearly as nerdy as I am on the MCU, immediately asked at the end of the episode when we saw Strange stuck in his prison: "Hey, where have we seen a purple gem that contains a bunch of power before?" Hmmmmm....
Thought the same
HE BECAME THE POWER INFINITY STONE MAYBE? IDK ANDHNSHBJSZHJSB :') help
Theres nothing you can do to change an "Absolute Point In Time". Strange went mad and destroyed his own reality in order to bring Christine back........and you couldn't help but feel bad for him
Well, to be fair he did change it. Reality just collapsed soon after.
It’s not interesting how the limbs of that thing still move, it’s simply how squids works. They have parts of their brain inside their tentacles making it so they move a lot even after getting cut
Which still proves the point that the tentacles could still pose a threat regardless. :P
Shuma gorath maybe
I think this make believe.
Not shuma gorath it's the much weaker many angled ones
17:51 Strange be like “THIS IS MY KINGDOM COME”
The deathloop reminds me of Mayuri's deathloop from Steins;Gate and Strange's suffering to try and bring Christine back is just like Okabe.
yes i was thinking this too. i enjoyed both!
I really love how Strange actually felt the presence of the watcher and even talks with him
Especially since he actually does that in the comics.
Fr
I liked the Raven/Trigon homage in the big multi-eyed Raven that he absorbed.
Those statues outside of the Cagliostro Library were actually Persian statues from the Achaemenid Empire.
wow someone knows there shit.
your absolutely right. it’s achaemenid.
No they were Assyrian bulls. look it up
Love the story of this episode. The story concept is worthy of a movie
Yes! Why would Kang make Christine die knowing that this would lead to the end of the universe before he even born?
You could think of it as a strictly time travel rule outright, rather than a dimensional travel rule. Otherwise each use of the timestone would've made like a bajillion nexus events.
Yeah grandfather paradox
I love the mr doctor back and forth between Strange and Kaecilius.
3:18
Another missable detail: the glass is shaped like a heart, symbolising a broken heart
“You’ll notice his hands aren’t shaking in the trailer for no way home”
3:57 his hand is literally shaking what are you talking about?
Also they don’t shake in every scene just in critical moments like when he informs tony of what he has to do in endgame
This episode was Dark , Fascinating , Mindblowing , Confusing , Mysterious , and last but not least Beautifully Crafted 😍😍
The death montage gave me Stein's Gate feels.
The same paradox happening to Mayushi no matter how many times Okabe tries to reset the timeline.
I was wondering if anyone else thought that and I guess I got my answer lol.
Thank you
This episode was heartbreaking, intense, and the ending was really sad. And I loved it!
I literally kept screaming MEPHISTOPHELES the entire time he was absorbing energies from the other beings
And the fact that it ends with him alone in a room sized universe, kind of like the demons personal lodge that he brings everyone to
18:17 maybe he absorbed ghost rider and the flames are burning in this skull 🔥💀
Movie:
Christine: No one could have done better.
Strange: I could have done better.
Episode:
Ancient One: You cannot reverse an Absolute Point.
Strange: Nothing is impossible. I only require more power.
Oh yeah...maybe the true Absolute Point is the death of that universe
And the friends he'll make along the way
its really his character, arrogant selfish
@@lyndsaybrown8471 maybe yes
@@destinyhero4795 oh yes!!!
This episode left us with a very non-disneylike ending.
I hope the next episode doesn’t have a terrible ending.
Next episode is party Thor , throwing such a party that earth gets destroyed
less disney, more the originak fairy tales disney shit was based on :D
Bambi intro:🙄
True but what if comics are not about telling happy ending stories. Just good stories.
If someone tells you that Disney won't accept demons in their properties, pull the Gravity Falls card.
Underrated AF
King From the Owl house Is a demon too, So is chernabog, and maleficent are considered demons too
To me is crazy the power Strange showed in this episode, it’s now canon he can gain enough power to destroy an entire universe with the right push.. Reeeally excited for Mutliverse of Madness now!
This is straight up HG Wells “Time Machine.”
All I could think the entire first half
This episode definitely connected to Wandavision like no other one...What is grief, if not love persevering?
This episode felt like marvel said “What if we did “The twilight zone”?”
This episode left me in shock and a bit of tears. This has to be my favorite episode of all What If.
This episode was honestly INSANE! I got chills at the end
It’s not continuity . Every universe has their own version of a “elder god.”
Turns out it's actually continuity
Those are definitely not griffins and sphinxes though. Griffins have eagle heads, and the human headed ones are very clearly Assyrian Karibu. I would say the structure is clearly designed to have an Babylonian/Assyrian/Sumerian influence.
yes! they are lamassu
7:40 the blue portals are probably created by the sorcerer themself and not a sling ring, hence the different color and why they’re only used by the most powerful sorcerers, strange supreme and the ancient one
