Shame about your HP CS but could've been much, much worse! I really like Daftmill but I get a lot of yeasty, bready notes on it which I know some people can't stand. Daftmill has always been and probably will be a tad bit expensive where it surpasses my comfort line of whisky price. I'll try it at a bar if I come across but don't think I'll pull the trigger on a bottle. Cheers Phil, didn't know about the instagram account but I'm following you now.
There was a recent Daftmill 15 bottled for indy shops and its still hanging around in I suspect because the rrp is around £175! You still buying at that price Phil?
It may be a sign that I spend too much time in whisky shops but I am often able to pick up a bottle of Daftmill retail and recently got the 15 Year old Fife Strength and left 4 bottles for others to try. This whisky is far too good to trust to any shelves I have put up!
Well count yourself lucky that you were able to taste this great bottle and that it didn't break like the HP 🙂 Btw if you want to treat yourself to a 16yo Lagavulin at cask strength with a lovely Oloroso finish then I can recommend to you Cadenhead's Enigma Islay 16yo. It's around 120£ but really worth the price (btw this years 15yo Jazz Festival edition is 250£) & frankly I don't know why it is still available...

Thank you for the follow! It is expensive, there's no way around that. But the method of grabbing a dram at a bar still holds up.
Lovely Daftmill but have not seen this one on the shelves yet, looking forward to trying it.
Keep an eye out behind bars, this was a 2022 release, and an Innaugral 15YO.

That's a little rich for my blood given what else you could possibly get. But, if you and a few friends chip in for one...that's a better idea.

Shelves are my new mortal enemy
