I think this song is a play on how celebrities are always so idolised like a god, and the lyrics are kind of like a mockery on how silly it is. And the dream lyrics and stuff could be like how the admirers aspire to be like that etc. Gott ist tot could be saying that the more exposed these celebrities get, people get more of a realistic understanding on the celebrity meaning this sense of idealism slowly dies down. The other bits also remind me of celebrities in the media

    • @yg1307
      @yg1307 10 месяцев назад +12

And the end lyrics could be about people who idolise celebrities as people who ‘just wanted to dance without knowing life’ aka the way they look past the fact that celebrities are people with their own flaws.

definitely can be applied to celebrities since a lot of them are basically worshipped...

I tend to read the Tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu Fu with the Fu as a sort of onomatopoeia for a laugh, like they’re playing along with the song, but can’t help but to laugh as soon as it’s over, showing off how so much being stated is two faced, kind of like when you’re keeping composure talking to someone, but they hang up and you just can’t help but burst out, “pfffft, that idiot doesn’t know what he’s talking about!”

i think its kinda about the obsession to be "cool" but because "cool" is arbitrary theres so many fragmented aspects about it and all you can say that something is cool-"like" (this is why so many aesthetics exist that try to capture a "cool" feeling) and point to "that!", subjective standards like beauty. It goes well with the the concept of idolatory and "God-like". Like you see what other people like (e.g "death", edgy stuff) so you braindead-ingly want to like that stuff too, but doing so "makes ur iq drop" cuz ure not thinking, just blindly worshipping what others worship because it must be admirable and "cool".
"Your dream is big" because thats what everyone says: "dream big! chase your dreams!" so its a trait thats hailed as a virtue, yet in reality, a capitalistic society does not reward and infact punishes dreams. "Profitable, yet graciousness is THE END" can maybe translate into something more like "economy is booming, but morality is THE END" like as soon as you want what capitalism wants (profit) your morality ends. but lets just YAAY anyway bcuz atleast we survived another day and should celebrate our profits and hard work!
One of the themes of this song is about the signals society gives (what they say is a good thing and how they pressure you into worshipping/making you think you should desire it also) , but they are all noise and sounds in the end (like the song). By internalizing these signals like a necrotic/dopaminergic/addict, you lose yourself and become a shell of a person.
When a person gains light of these signals, some become a "meta-thinker": they think they are above the system by being aware that a lot of things like the standards of Coolness and "God" is a social construct, so they deny "God" to feel like they are free from system. These people wish to transcend above society and become enlightened by rejecting society's standards ("prayer of self-discipline"), but like you said they can only complain and critisize and not do anything to improve their current situation and society. Maybe its like, these people hate the system but as soon as they get power/authority by the system they change their minds and look down on others. Is the nature of meta-thinking malice?
But what i seriously think the singer is trying to express is that as we all become "god"-like as users of the internet, we can interact and consume every media from a neutral, overseering position. But then everything becomes boring and predictable, that even things that generate "disgust" makes them a "fan on the contrary" because atleast it elicited a subversive emotional response. They prob met a normal person who actually derives fun and excitement from media, and so "envies them" and looks down on them with cynical sarcasm ("ur dream is big! ur brain is small! youre disgusting!") throughout the song. Yet because the singer's relationship with the external environment has been so twisted, they start to think the normal people as yet another piece of entertaining media and becomes a "fan on the contrary". We dont realize how we are mentally deteoriating everyday and insist we are sane/healthy trying to trascend and escape our environment and align ourselves with what is "cool", what is "God-ish".
And i also think the singer is one of these meta-meta thinkers, who understands ALL of this and understands why they suffer but wishes they werent so logical and rational so they turn to this song's "nonsensical dance" and drops their iq because its comforting. Ignorance is bliss. They dont have to think hard anymore. Like how i had given up on making this comment coherent lol.
I love God ish because it really could only be a product of modern times, all these fragmented vibes and over the top cynical sarcasm/irony and nhihilistic self-awareness and dopamine-generating hits is uniquely the Internet Age. I love pinnochio p

Imo I think this song is from the perspective of someone who is done with life, not being able to believe in anything and ends up hating most of everyone. Yet at the same time because they're not blending in with the others or not being able to feel "normal" (my guess is most likely due to their deteriorating mental health), they get jealous of everyone else because they're all "normal".
They kinda put up a mask of some sort, praising and spewing positive things about the people they hate being around while being fully aware of how not genuine their words are.
It's a bit hard for me to explain but my opinion on this song is like one of the top comments in here where they explained a lot in detail, I just wanted to add a few things that I think this song is trying to get out

    • @OsefKincaid
      @OsefKincaid 3 месяца назад

All of this, but now imagine the person singing is not done with life, instead they're not alive at all because they're Hatsune Miku, an artificial intelligence, jealous of everyone else because they're all normal (alive) and she's not.

I know it’s 5 mo late but I feel god ish It's satirizing modern online culture. E.x "Gott ist tot" (God is dead) is a sort of pessimistic outlook on the state of affairs, and the last line of "wanting to dance without (knowing) life" serves as a warning for those who put too much focus on the banality of online tropes, memes, etc.
the line of “I understood everything and suffered” this could be refuring to how there frefuring to how their is alot of dark things on the enter net

i think the "that title, that illustration, that story. that music, that song, that melody" is referring to the song itself, as kinda like self-irony, as if the singer doesn't hold anything (even themselves) in a high regard; everything is scrutinized, everything is ironically "so cool", that's why they can so easily judge everything, and judge judging itself, like a true nihilist without any core beliefs.

until watching this video i always thought this song was about being consumed by jealousy, the rap verse seemed to me like them being self aware of how animalistic it is.
i thought the first and second verse was mocking this “kami” to make themselves feel superior than them when theyre actually envious as we see in the chorus
this was a very interesting take, i never thought about the satirical value of if!!

oh!! it could be seen that way too tho!! since there are lyrics that says "i admire you so bad" etc~
maybe some praises just sound too satirical in my head lol ;;___;; but thank you!!

I apologise to request yet another song as I am sure you have many to go through, but I would love to hear your interpretation on the song "Terminal" by nulut, it is a song I hold close to me and yet there is only a single translation of it on the vocaloid wiki. Regardless, I look forward to seeing more of your content! ✩✩

As stupid an interpretation as it feels like to me, I still always felt like this song was never meant to be taken as a singular view. It's always seemed to me that the lyrics spoken shift from perspective to perspective between criticisms and defensiveness as there's multiple people here.
Again, stupid idea, I know, but with how rapidly things shift from admiration to outright hatred and back again just gives me that feeling.
Throws the class divide issue on top of the artistic integrity vs viability angle too.
    Late, I know, but, heh...

Glad to see a sort of reaction/review of the actual song and not just the cover like the many viewbaiting reaction youtubers.
I'm glad to see the context you gave for many cultural aspects of the song since most viewers probably don't live in Japan and you made it easy to follow along.

It just like an envy feelings when you see someone who have a superior talent than you. And then you just like, "Gash, she just like a God! Way too perfect." Just like that.
I think, i can summarize this song like, jealousy. You don't like them but at the same time you don't want to show it. The person in this song try to compare her life with the person she jealous at, "Your charisma, your words, the way she talk, she looks too perfect which is make you envy."
This song isn't about religious stuff.

      Warning: long and quite rant-y
I think it's depends how you view the song.
If you think the song is sinful and will shaken your iman and view to God, then i really recommend you to avoid these kind of songs.
By this logic, then any kind of cynical philosophy about God would be haram, probably it is, but we still learn about them until this time. So instead, learn it as a knowledge and to know someone's perspective purpose, not something to against God. Like this song. Be analytical and don't take the controversial massage whole so you won't see it as an offensive sin.
Though the song itself it's not about religion nor Islam nor actual God in first place. But you do you. This is my view as a fellow Muslim, might be incorrect, but it is my view.
I'm just tired with how people with this religion are way too restrictive, i'm also tired with Muslims who keep arguing over something useless like whenever drawing is haram or not. In the end it's all about PURPOSES AND INTENTIONS people.

Isn't it relevant that this song is meant to be sung by an AI? Like, if you're an AI, your creator is God-ish, he is similar to a God for you in that he created you, a being that has intelligence. But you're not really alive either, so you're jealous of the things that alive people have. There is a bit of conflict between what is good and bad about not being alive, but ultimately the IA resents the creator because the creator had such a big dream but such a small mind, and it concludes that it would have preferred to not have the capacity to think and just be a machine that knows how to dance.
I'm not saying it's obvious because it took me a long time to think of this, but now that I have it clicks so well for me I can't think of anything else
