    Ingredients:
    • Heath Riles BBQ Cherry Apple Habanero Glaze
    • Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Sauce
    • Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeño Rub
    • Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Rub
    • Heath Riles BBQ Butter Bath & Wrap
    • 2 slabs of 4.5-5lb Prairie Fresh Baby Back Ribs
    Directions:
    1. Stoke the Traeger Ironwood 885 or your grill of choice with Royal Oak Charcoal and fire it up to 300℉.
    2. Remove the ribs from their packaging, pat them dry, and remove the membrane. If needed, remove any flaps of meat or uneven edges.
    3. Lay down a base coat of Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeńo Rub, followed by a dusting of Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Rub. Let the ribs sweat in for 5 minutes, then flip them and repeat the process on the other side, letting them sweat in for 15 minutes.
    4. Lay the Cherry Apple Habańero Baby Back Ribs directly on the pit and let them go for an hour without touching them. After an hour, spritz the meat with water, touch them up with Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Rub if needed, and let them go for another 1 ½ hours.
    5. To make the wrap, combine ¼ cup of Heath Riles Butter Bath & Wrap with ¾ cup of water until smooth. You should note that this measurement will cover ONE rack of ribs.
    6. Take the Cherry Apple Habańero Baby Back Ribs off the pit, lay them on a foil-lined baking tray, and pour the butter bath over the top.
    7. Tightly wrap the ribs, then lay them back on the pit to cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes. My ribs had an internal temperature of 205℉ and a total cook time of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
    8. To make the glaze, combine equal parts Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Sauce and Heath Riles BBQ Cherry Apple Habańero Glaze in a small cast iron pot, then set it on the pit for 20 minutes to warm up while the ribs rest.
    9. Unwrap the ribs and generously brush them with glaze. Then, set the Cherry Apple Habańero Baby Back Ribs on the pit for 10 minutes to tack up.
    10. Let the ribs cool before digging in. Enjoy!

    How strong is the Habanero heat in the glaze

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  7 месяцев назад +1

      Not strong at all. I give it maybe a 3-4 and my wife says more like a 2. It's suppose to be a subtle backend heat that will cook down a lot. It's not going to light you up.

    Heath I had a question and a suggestion. 1st Have you ever thought about making a maple syrup for pancakes? 2nd would you make a combo kit of all your rubs/glaze but in half the size? I’d like to sample everything but not sure if I’d use or enjoy the entire 10oz.

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  7 месяцев назад

      I had not thought about a maple syrup for pancakes. As far as sample bottles, we do not currently offer them. We just have the full size bottles on the website. We do have combo packs for the full size glazes. www.heathrilesbbq.com/collections/bbq-glazes

    What is advantage of heating the sauce up instead of it being cold? If st Louis style ribs were done, would you still use the same temp? I know they wouldn't take as long

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  7 месяцев назад +1

      I personally like to heat up my glaze, even at competitions. Way easier to brush on. Yes, you'd want to cook to the same internal temps.

    I like a lot of your products but a lot of them are WAY too spicy for anyone like me who suffers from IBS. I need a mild version.

    • @HeathRilesBBQ
      @HeathRilesBBQ  7 месяцев назад

      It can be spicy if you layer on heavy. I'd suggest a light-medium coat so you're not getting a heavy pepper taste on your food.

    • @KyleenDrake
      @KyleenDrake 7 месяцев назад

      @@HeathRilesBBQ You're missing my point. I can't have ANY spice at all in my food. ALL of it has to be mild or it triggers my IBS. This is true for many IBS sufferers. I'd buy more of your products but I don't want to literally spend 3 days in the bathroom exhausted for one meal. If not for the IBS I'd like some heat. But now that it's started.. And maybe I'm not only one who'd buy. Just a thought.
