You mean when the Liverpool fans started singing “one Gary Speed”... even though he played for that other club, best fans in the country! But yes we all get chills.
Gary Speed was the man that got me into football and when I learned that he was Welsh, that just made me ridiculously happy. I watched him Captain our national team with pride and drag us through many games, I had the pleasure of seeing him manage our national side and take us to a totally different level. He made us believe that we could be successful and not also rans who would never get to a major tournament. He meant so much to many, I am just so saddened that he perhaps felt too ashamed to reach out for help when he needed it the most. We will never forget him, always missed Speedo x
Yes especially when you see ex footballers like Paul merson, Jason mcateer, gascoigne talk about their struggles now so openly. I wish he'd talked more, he was always a shy bloke, don't think he ever did much interviews on tv, just went about his business and maybe did the odd events organised by clubs he was at, he was more about the fans than satisfying the media. It was frightening to hear someone of such a high profile commit suicide with no kind of hint of that he was struggling. R.i.p Gary speed
Bellamy, if you see this, thank you for your brilliant display yesterday and recently with Liverpool. You are pure class through and through! I feel for you with the loss of your friend, and for Gary Speed's family. Speed was class as well. May he rest in peace.
If someone feels nothing after watching this video, he is heartless. The mental strength of Bellamy is absolutely unbelievable. After the death of his good friend, he plays and he also is the man of the match.... Respect from Greece
RIP! I loved my first times watching Premier League, with so many players and clubs i liked and admired. And there was Gary... playing for Leeds, for Newscastle, even Bolton... always a example for me. A veteran, a leader. I don't understand why... it's just too sad, to difficult to get. I just hope the best for his family, friends, workmates... From Portugal and from a Benfica fan
This lad is one of my favorites am so glad he is back at Liverpool what u see is what u get just a normal lad like the rest of us not a poser with his money he gets my vote before downing much respect bellamy and godbless Gary speed great player and person just so sad its come to this for him R.I.P
Still difficult to watch RIP you was loved and respected by everyone in football and who followed football never heard a bad thing about you gave 110 percent
Best midfielder Newcastle had in the premier league era. Most underrated in the premier league. Bobby Robson didn’t want to sell him. Things fell apart when he was sold to Bolton. Would have been able to play till he was 40 at top level
I love the irony of the camera cutting to a shot of John Terry just as the commentator says "a man totally respected throughout football" I support Leeds and our fans were rocked by the loss of Speedo. Such a legendary player who was taken from us at a young age. RIP
He's the first player to reach 500 games, he's the first player to retire with a league goal per season. He was an inspiration for kids, a role model, both on and off the pitch, as a player and as a person. It's not only football's loss, it's everyone's loss. Craig, Gary will never walk alone with a friend like you., he must be glad to see you play from a faraway place.
Is amazing how like someone so head strong like Bellamy can cry.. shows he actually has a soft part inside of him. :] Bellamy is still our Liverpool bad ass next to Agger and Skrtel. ;]
what a fantastic game, both sets of fans were chanting "there is only gary speed" even though he's never played for either side. football sees the worst, and the best.
I feel soo sorry for craig. it takes some gutts to be told not long b4 ur due to play tht ur international n friend has died. Fair play to Craig for playin n true gutts to cry. RIP Speedo
i dont like bellamy, i doubt many people do, but seein him of all people clearly emotional and wipin away tears just completely moved me... this is craig bellamy were talkin about, and look, he was cryin just like the rest of us... i guess he is human :)
The story goes that Craig Bellamy got wasted after the game, being as upset as he was. Him and players both sides ended up in a local karaoke bar. Craig gave a rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I have nothing’ - which he dedicated to Speed. It was so powerful that it led to a standing ovation from all players in attendance. Just a lovely gesture.
@1NKILL the liveropool fans also gave alan smith a standing ovation at anfield when he broke his leg which is more than can be said for any chelsea fan who booed lucas off in a stretcher. also they applaud every away goal keeper as they run to the kop end. you dont get that at old trafford
@rugbymad92 Well a hell of a lot of fans from other clubs did the same, so no this doesnt show how Liverpool have the best fans. This was very noble of them. This shouldn't be about fans, it should be about how much Gary Speed meant to so many people. Also a testiment to how strong Bellamy is. At least this harrowing tragedy has brought people together
@SuperTorres76 I understand your point to an extent, but they aren't showing it for ''entertainment'' purposes, rather they are giving us the platform to offer our condolences to Gary Speed, his family and to his close friends such as Craig Bellamy shown in the video. Also, it gives us the platform to show us how strong Bellamy's character is, seeing as he went on to play brilliantly and set up both goals. I'm 100% sure LFC put this video up for both of those reasons. R.I.P Gary Speed. YNWA
@pasindug17 I was at the game and the Chelsea fans joined in singing 'Only one Gary Speed' at the start. They were very respectful. Bellamy was booed when he came off because no one likes Bellamy. Nothing to do with Gary Speed. Why did Liverpool fans sing this at that point? Will he forever be reminded? "Bellamy ...w**k w**k w**k. Bellamy ... w**k w**k w**k"
@rdizzle555 actually some liverpool fans tried to attack the ambulance alan smith was in to prevent him getting to hospital. All clubs have silly fans as well as good fans, that is life. It is up to the individual to make that choice
@pasindug17 I'm a united fan too but why are you giving liverpool fans respect. Who cares who gary speed played for? the man was an icon of the sport. The liverpool fans cheered for speed because he was gary speed not cheering tongue in cheek because he played for their rivals
Fair play to the vast majority of true football supporters for the respect shown to Gary Speed and more importantly now, his wife and two sons who are left to deal with this when we all get on with our own lives. I am sure that they will have found some comfort in what they have witnessed in the days following his tragic loss.....to those who have no common decency via your pointless comments on here, you really dont matter......RIP GARY SPEED ABERDEEN WHITES LUFC
@SuperTorres76 Is not.. it just shows how hard he tried for his friend. If one of our players is hurt us fans should know about it and wish him well. Nothing wrong with cheering a lad up?
Anyone else get chills when the crowd started singing "one Gary Speed"?
You mean when the Liverpool fans started singing “one Gary Speed”... even though he played for that other club, best fans in the country! But yes we all get chills.

I'm a United fan . Bur mainly a Welshman and this makes me proud to be a football fan. I obviously dislike both teams but also big respect for this
No, because if those same people had been asked the day before he died, they'd have been entirely indifferent towards him 💯
My cousin is died at same day 27/11/2011 . He sunk into the sea . So i respect gary speed for this too . RIP for both of them
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Damn
I love how every fan in football had respect for Gary Speed.
How could you not? The guy was a great player and a developing manager with Wales and he always seemed like a top bloke
@@mattinfullvision9598 him and robert enke may rest in peace
And then he played one of the best game of his career!

Speed inspired his fellow countryman to win that competition that year. Rest in peace, Gary Speed.
Still brings tears to my eyes
If someone feels nothing after watching this video, he is heartless. The mental strength of Bellamy is absolutely unbelievable. After the death of his good friend, he plays and he also is the man of the match.... Respect from Greece

Craig Bellamy is a great Red man and a gentleman, I'm so glad we have him.
