Good to see that his spirit is unbroken, and that he didn't go hide in a corner somewhere because of how he sounds these days. No, the man soldiers on. That is so rock'n'roll, and worthy of all respect. I tip my hat to you, sir. Best of luck
One of the best transformation and performances. Don't forget Real Genius and those other wacky slapsticks he has done. He has played many many roles in his life. He was never typecast as the same character and that is becoming increasingly less common in Hollywood today. This man was an ACTOR in the truest sense.
Everyone, Val is MUCH better than before. His speech is coming back and he looks better. There were rumors that the cancer went to his brain, but it doesn't appear so. Hopefully his speech keeps on improving. He'll never sound the way he used to, but at least he's gotten better.
Dan Maler His speech isn’t better in any way from a year ago. Sounds worse in fact. Hopefully he will get real medical treatment instead of relying on religion and prayer, that does absolutely nothing!
Val Kilmer is well-known to be a Christian Scientist, a sect which relies on faith healing. I don't know what the specifics of his treatment plan are, though, and only the most radical members of the sect will refuse treatment in serious cases -- usually the prayer is for stuff like minor illness, or maybe something chronic that's already been treated as much as possible.
Val you ROCK! You have a beautiful family & it's awesome to hear you & see you! Thanks for allowing us into your personal world! We support you & wish you a FULL recovery🙏❤️
I Will Always Love ❤ Val Kilmer and not just for his rolls but every interview or biography or anything about him he just seems to be such a nice real person unlike alot of actors. And I pray he heals quickly. LOVE YOU VAL ✌ ❤ ✌
Nice look like Val's getting better. Great to see him back on the box. Still sounds like himself in the most important ways. Hope he continues to get better. Cheers
Tombstone had Academy Awards written all over it. And this Man deserved that one. Everyone in that movie deserved to win. But Val really deserved it. He looks great and sounds great. Cant wait for Top Gun 2
@@jessramirez2978 are you high. If this is sounding great i dont wanna ever sound great. I'm wishing the man full recovery but please don't try to twist reality.
Val's work in the 80's/90's made so many great memories for most who grew up during those times - Real Genius is one of the movies that inspired me to get my degree in physics. I hope for the best
I've said it on other posted videos, and I'll say it here.....Val is truly one of the most underrated actors ever. No....I'm not talking about his role as Doc Holliday, either.....Yes. I know that was an Oscar worthy performance.... BUT.....In MY opinion, his roles in Wonderland and Thunderheart are PHENOMENAL! Of course, I own both of them, and if you add together the amounts of time I've watched them, it would probably be closing in on 200. There is just something extra that he puts into his work, that not every actor can do. He completely OWNS it. Meaning, I don't watch him in roles, thinking 'That's Val just playing the part.'..... What I see is that he BECOMES that person to me. I'm not sure if that makes sense....It's kinda hard to put to words. Anyway....Now that I've rambled aimlessly....😅😅😅 I don't think cancer was the worst thing to happen to him. I DO think that him not getting the credit he truly deserves, is.
omgg the other day I was thinking exactly the same about he really becomes the character he is playing, its not val acting is the character, it's truly amazing, it doesn't happen to me with any other actor
MIchael Medved, a talk radio host I listen to, got throat cancer. And I couldn't believe how bad his voice got. Within just a handful of months, his voice was completely back to normal. I think Val will be improving dramatically.
tombstone, willow, the ghost in the darkness, real genius, top gun, the saint... I could go on all great performances. in tombstone in the last moments where he says to wyatt if you were ever my friend you would leave me here to die and to go live your life for the both of us while crying and showing so much depth to his character. that scene alone should have won him so many awards very few actors are able to totally become the character like he did. In the movie the saint he had to change accents multiple times in a short scene while also physically changing his mannerisms as if he was a totally different person with each change. I will say again very few actors left that can do this method acting. maybe daniel day lewis and a few others but its sadly becoming a rare thing in the acting scene.
Locoandchooch i am so happy he’s doing better. But yes i always loved his voice and looks, i was sad when i heard he had throat cancer... He looks great though.
What a fighter! I’ll always love you Val, just glad you’re happy and staying positive about it all. Even though I will be devastated to see one of my all-time favorite actors retire, that legendary wit and charisma will live on. He will keep painting and hopefully maybe write some stuff!!
I have to say I have always been a big fan since I first saw him in Top Gun but I’m an even bigger fan of his now even through all that he’s been through he’s still smiling, he’s still got an amazing sense of humor, and he keeps going on with life, God Bless You Val Kilmer you are always always in my prayers! ❤️
Seeing and hearing Val now almost brings me to tears. I realize he's pulled through whatever he had and that's fantastic of course, but I always thought he was going to make this big comeback after all the criticisms he took in the past few years concerning his weight and bad movie choices... Like he was gonna take on a Bill The Butcher-esque role in some gritty movie and remind everyone what he's capable of... Always been a huge fan and I hope he does exactly that! But above all, I pray he gets and stays healthy.
looking wonderful Val. You are still one of the Greats and you have a lot of Fans that care about you, Rock on. Your Movie's have been playing a lot on TV, and 'Tombstone" is on TV as I write this, followed up with an encore .
So I tuned in to hear this, had no idea what Val's been going though. What a shame, I'm gutted for him, I wish him all the healing and hope he gets back to 100%. Absolute Legendary actor and most guys wish they could look like him.
Val you keep fighting brother. You have done great work and have always had some honor in your work. You keep fighting brother. We have got your back and pray for your health and well being.
He's a great actor ~ he is working hard to rehabilitate his voice and he gets better every day. After his body of work, he deserves to be able to work again.
Like Val, always did great work and always seemed humble. Hope all works out for him and bravo for his strength and public appearances. A solid dude for sure.
Hi Val nice to see you on this interview despite having hard time with your voice . But I salute you for being brave and showing the whole world to be true to yourself and what’s goin on with you. We as your follower we are praying that you ll pull through with this ordeal. You still have the humor and a joker which is why I like you best for that and every interview you have. Keep it up and hoping and praying for your full recovery . You’re the best of your kind for us you win that best actor for Oscar in the Tombstone. They stole that from you . Godspeed . Get a good doctor to follow you up and whatever best treatment they offer. Take care and looking forward for whatever project you may have. .👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I watched the documentary Val and it was so fabulous to see the movie of his life and see pieces of his life , I laughed so much at some scenes of it , it made me sad when they showed that Part when he cries over the death of his mama because he really missed her so much , I thought it was so sweet when he said I wear her jewelry to keep her close to my heart .
He is looking better; I am sure it has been a struggle for him....bless him...I hope he continues to thrive . We like to say courageous but he truly is. ♥
Missed seeing you so much my son and I just watched kiss kiss bang bang such a great movie glad to see you in such great spirit please get better soon and come back
Val Kilmer was in 3 of my favorite '80s movies (Top Secret, Top Gun, Real Genius), so this is pretty heart-breaking to see. I hope he makes a full recovery.
Seems to be in good spirits. Takes a strong individual to keep pushing on despite adversity like he's seen. Keep fighting the good fight, you're an inspiration, Val.
Real genius, the doors and the Saint are my favorite Valley Kilmer movies. He's the fukkin man. Good on you for keeping strong and fighting. Millions love you and are fighting with you. You the best Ice man.

I think it´s so got damn strong of Val, recovering from his cancerous disease. And starting making good progress. And my hat is of too him, putting up interviews. And all people making fun of him sounding weird and so on. Have you no selfrespect? The guys vocal chord was totally to hell! And now he has to TRAIN up his voice from the start. I actually dont think is heartbreaking. The man looks good, hes nothing but positive and cracking jokes. Hes a damn fighter
ShadowWhelp he is amazing
He's in great spirits
He really is! I absolutely love him. He is a true fighter he is a good guy.
I am with you there. Every reason to be a oh pity me victim and he chooses not to be. Nothing but respect.
It's a true example of taking life as it comes. Kilmer doesn't give a fuck how he sounds. He's just rolling with it. And that's why he's a badass.
Good to see that his spirit is unbroken, and that he didn't go hide in a corner somewhere because of how he sounds these days. No, the man soldiers on. That is so rock'n'roll, and worthy of all respect. I tip my hat to you, sir. Best of luck
Breaks my heart to hear him like this but he is alive still and beat the cancer.
this was like 2 days ago. yes he is still alive O_O
Micheal Douglas did it so can 'Ice Man" Kilmer.

: How come Michael Douglas doesn´t speak like this?, Can Val get back to his normal voice or?
Mike Fergus It's not cancer it's just a swollen tongue. Jk
Hope Val pulls through what he is going through he played a good Jim Morrison such a nice guy and great actor ♥
No doubt...The Doors was probably one of the best acting jobs I've ever witnessed..so much talent

Actually had me thinking he was doing a Brando impression, that whole time! What a champ!
I’m not sure if it was the accent barrier or what, but I understood Val was saying George C. Scott immediately.
It's great to see him back.
