Most of the blooming time they are young people with old people's bodies themselves! The man has been fighting cancer and you expect him to maintain his youthful appearance!!! So to all these modern day sensation seeking ' reporters' get a decent job and earn your income honestly! 💥
Val Kilmer looks pretty good for someone who went through one of the most brutal cancers..He's 62 so he is not going to age backwards (plastic surgery) like a lot of actors...Very sad he had to go through cancer without a partner but i'm sure his kids were there along side him..That's the cruel thing about Hollywood..They love you when you are on top but gain an inch of weight and they humiliate you..Val paid his dues and is one of the best actors to come out of Hollywood..Thank you for your contribution to the movie industry..Playing Jim Morrison was one of your best roles...♥️
He's only in remission, as he went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy which only make the cancerous cells spread, and radiation, which burns the inside of your throat. He's obviously so intelligent, yet he runs straight to toxic pharma for cancer treatment with no cures. It either kills you right away or comes back, leaving you permanently scarred. Actually it was his children that convinced him to get the poison therapy, not knowing any better. I can't believe that no one he knew suggested non-toxic therapies like Gershon or Chris Beats Cancer that address the cause, change the lifestyle and don't make the cancer worse. What a shame.
He nailed Holiday. Every time I watch that movie, I see yet, another nuance, and believe me, I already know most of the dialogue. While everyone else were superb, it was his film. Sad for him that he had to go through his battle with cancer pretty much alone. To his critics: just enjoy his movies, you can't possibly know what demons he has encountered.
Val Kilmer is a professional Artist, not an entertainer/ I think that he arduously endeavours to give his all b/c that is his vocation in life, same as Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, and unless they sell out for monetary gain, the cast and director are making films to teach, inspire, evangelize and educate/ Everything in life is theatre/ Entertainment is a moneymaking form of escapism/ Val Kilmer is very passionate about living in Love, Truth and Wisdom/
Val Kilmer is a Phenomenal actor, one of the best to do it. I hate that Hollywood and the headlines have disrespected him so much. I'll always be a fan of his.
The media seldom does anything good for our society. Back when they reported the actual news, fairly, balanced and with integrity, the media was a vital part of our society. Now, 97% of it is a cancer.
His suffering is terrible, but I imagine it's even harder on him because of the public eye being on him and discecting his public image. That had to create tremendous personal turmoil for him. I hadn't followed him too closely,, I don't follow any celebrity really, but I did notice his disappearance in recent years. I can only wish him well and pray for the best for him and his children.
Like yourself, I don't follow any "celebs" or actors or anyone because I have my own life to live and don't drool over what other's HAVE ... This guy would have done ANYTHING to beat Tom Cruise to the top of Hollywood - and he would have made it if he hadn't been so BAD at core trying to stop others success instead of working on his OWN success - The Kilmer story is a sad one, but it's what he brought upon himself, nothing else. I wish him well in his fight for his healrh.
So... he made enemies for having high standards? No one bothered to mention why people hated working with him or whether it was for valid reasons or not. If his refusal to compromise his standards was taken as him challenging the authority of his superiors, then maybe it's the control obsessed superiors that were the difficult ones? This just leaves me with more questions than I had before it.
A director is in charge for a reason. I'm sure every actor on set thinks they know better and would like to do everything their own way. When the director allows that you end up with chaos. If he wants everything his own way do what Tom Cruis did, create your own projects and be a part of every decision. Don't just come on set demanding everyone else dances to your tune including the other actors. What makes you think he knew better than all the other people working on the project? If so where his his directorial breakthroughs?
You work with people every day, doing everyday jobs, there are hundreds of people on set, many are paid peanuts. Most actors or actresses don't act like dicks, but the ones who do, will get singled out. Most people on set don't get paid enough for that shit. Val Kilmer was a dick.
With no hesitation, my favorite is Tombstone♥️. Very happy for you on overcoming your battle with cancer. So happy to see the support from your family.
Val has everything he could ever need. The love and support of his children who see him for who he is. That is priceless and the Greatest Award he could ever receive in life❣️
I loved him in Tombstone and the Doors. It sucks that he had cancer, and terrific that he beat it, everyone isn’t so lucky. As far as the media dragging him, that’s what the media does. 🤷🏻♀️
Unfortunately I don't call just being alive "beating" cancer. He has a permanent hole in his throat, can't ever use his voice again, and has said that the cancer treatment was the cause of his suffering, not the cancer. He also said his throat is permanently dry. I think it'd be a horrific way to live.
@@maureen2777 It was a blessing when my father died early on in chemotherapy. They had taken out his colon and he didn't want to live like that. You're not thinking of the victims who are suffering. What YOU would prefer is not the point.
@@Empathy4Animals411 my sister had 2 y/o twin boys at the time, she was 31, I am certain she’d have preferred to remain alive. My mom flat out told me she didn’t want to die. So my preference aligns with the preference of my people.
@@maureen2777 The one who's suffering should always take precedence. Val Kilmer flat out said he was suffering, as did my father. As a Christian Scientist, Kilmer also is not afraid to die, as he believes in a joyous afterlife. Those suffering are the VICTIM in the situation, not those who might be left behind. People so afraid of death think you only live once. We're not put here to suffer but learn and move on.
Loved Val Kilmer in “Real Genius” and in “Tombstone” … I also liked him in the “Doors” because he did most or all of his own singings and “The Saint” and “Willow”!!!! Prayers to Him! He has had a difficult Life filled with many obstacles!!!!
I'm afraid we all grow old and when it comes to looks, time is cruel. At least he hasn't gone under the cosmetic knife. I hope he overcomes his battle with cancer with complete remission
Val was the man when I was a kid.... I remember top guns iceman being such a hotshot dick and his Bruce Wayne was pretty slick .... not to mention Jim morrison
Sadly, there is no such thing as "complete remission" after you've had chemotherapy and radiation. It spreads the cancer cells and burns your insides. Even oncologists say they would never recommend chemo to a loved one, yet they do it to patients all the time. I can't believe not one single person he knew suggested Gershon or Chris Beats Cancer therapies to him that actually address the cause, change the lifestyle and heal instead of poison and burn.
He most certainly has had plastic surgery, as it's quite obvious. I feel bad about his laryngeal cancer...it's a tough one to go through, but he's alive!
Thunder heart was a great movie but sad, because of what happened to the Native American Indians, we must remember, honer our Indian heritage. Thank you, Val Killer 🥰🥰🎬🎬📽️📽️
my first introduction to Val was Willow as a kid. I thought he was such a cool warrior. Knowing that him an the princess of that actually got together an had kids pleases me very much cause you could see the chemistry they had.

I loved seeing him in Top Gun Maverick. I’m so glad they put him in the movie. They did it brilliantly. It’s sad what happened to him, but he’s still alive and can still give love to those close to him.

Thank God I’m alive and i can still talk however, 5 years out its still difficult to swallow and depending on the day i wont eat in public. Val Kilmer has probably next to one of the greatest actors I have ever watched you left out his roll in Thunderheart which was an awesome movie as well he’s a great actor I’d like to see more before he decides to retire but he’s left a very impressive legacy in movies !
Thanks ! I was just trying to recall the title of the movie , and scrolling the Comments .... He was SO good-looking there ! I still have that video tape . I actually bought it off the video rental long ago ! 😅
and I Love that. What a wonderful way to honor Jim…. “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness. - Oscar Wilde.”
He was and is not a hero. It is sad that get got sick but he has CONSTANTLY campaigned and told people not to get medical treatment. That is disgusting.
I loved Val as Jim Morrison. That was before my time, but I love Jim and The Doors. Val played him so well. Will always be one of my favorite movies. Had no idea he was hard to work with. So sad what happened to him. Great video,Blessed Be.
Yes but don’t you think that blowing off a shot at a hamburger commercial because he didn’t believe in burgers is totally stupid not to mention a poor decision in his occupational progress. I’m sure there is one person out there great full to him for that.
That was Magical 😀🤣, as well as enlightening. Just recently A couple of My Friends have recovered from Throat Cancer, over the Past Four too Five years. Too talk about The Actor Val Killer, he has always been A Astronomically Talented Actor! Plus his Film or Stage presence is so in Measurable, being that He puts so Much of His Soul, Heart, & Himself, into all that He did throughout His Life & His Career. The portion You spoke of His Ex Wife, was very coincidental as I think 🤔 I'd heard that Happened? But yet I was never for certain. The film they did Together "WILLOW" is a favorite of Mine. His Ex-Wife exceptionally Gorgeous, & Very Talented as well. IT is very Tragic, what has come of this Man's Life. But it isn't over Yet? For even though He has had Illness, Troubles, Heartache, n Heartbreak. By the Sounds of His Actions n Kid's, plus His willingness to Forge A Head this Man is not Finished with Life. Thank You for sharing this with US. Wyoming, Robert, 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸👀👀👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Tbh after watching his documentary…how dare they!! It pisses me off how he was treated!! He is one of the greats and he should still be in movies ect. Is this how you guys do it in Hollywood? Just let your friends go down like that huh? Speaks volumes about who THEY are!
I'm sure Val doesn't read anything in the media, or posts on RUclips....but.... if he does happen to read this....Val, you are appreciated much more then you'll ever know. I can't speak on behalf of anyone else, but as a 55 year old man, your gift on the big screen is greatly appreciated by this fan. The Doors and Heat are 2 of my all-time favorite flicks....I wish you nothing but good health moving forward! God Bless and thank you for your contributions to the Arts.... through your performances, you helped many of us escape our own problems in life, if only for a few hours.
I fell in love with Doc Holiday as a young girl 💕 I’m glad he’s doing better. Sometimes life makes you go through hard lessons so you can become the person you’re meant to be
2021 - 2023 still looking at Val & if he had asked someone who actually knew who he is not acting, Then he might of not been lonely , Jack & Mercedes 💕
Hands down Tombstone ! Best performance ever ! ICONIC ….it will live long after us all … Forever when reminded of Doc Holiday he always appears with Kilmer’s face …
Val Kilmer is one of my favorite all-time actors and that really bugs me that that he had to quit acting because of his cancer. I think they oughta make some roles for actors who have got disabilities now. He will always be one of my favorites. If I was asked who I wanted meet it would be him
I see nothing tragic about Val Kilmer's life. We all have had tragic things happen in our lives, parents die, siblings eventually die, friends die. But this video makes it sound like Val Kilmer's life was one big tragedy after another. I respectfully disagree. As long as he's alive, it's still good for him.
Sadly there's not much quality of life after getting several rounds of chemotherapy in addition to radiation. He survived the poison and burning, but it's only in remission. I feel sorry for him that he didn't seek other treatment that heals by addressing the cause and changing the lifestyle, diet, toxicity etc.
I agree and the ‘feel sorry for me’ video was just squeezing the bucks out further and worked as planned because it added more fans who probably didn’t think he was all that good before. You are spot on with “ we all have tragic things happen in our lives” and many, many more people have a whole lot more. So all those bleeding hearts who struggle daily to make ends meet he’s got tons of money.
I'm glad that Val kilmer was able to defeat cancer but it did a number on him unfortunately it was such a downer seeing that Val was talking with a microphone in his throat just like jack klugman was doing in his final years, tombstone was one of the best westerns ever and Val kilmer was the best doc Holliday ever and thunderheart was a great movie and was a true story

Bless him I still have a crush on Mr Val Kilmer, loved his episode on Life’s Too Short’ with his old Willow cast mate and Ricky Gervais. I hope he finds his way back to acting soon 🫶❤️❤️❤️

I was lucky to see him while performing as Mark Twain. He interspersed Batman and Mark Twain during his performance. He is such a great talent. I can only imagine how much he has gone thru, He is in some ways underrated, but I tell you he is a great actor. Just his two crowning roles "Tombstone and The Doors were awesome. I really feel bad for him. I am glad that his son and daughter are there for him. I hope he truly finds peace within.
As a method actor Val Kilmer is truly brilliant as Jim Morrison. I sometimes feel Hollywood didn’t make use of his amazing talent enough. I have a fond memory for his wholly underrated part as Nick Rivers from the 1984 film Top Secret! starring alongside the legendary Omar Sharif. It’s a totally off the wall cheesy comedy, but Val’s natural talent in front of the camera and his comedic timing is utterly genius in this film. Amazing to think that Val then aged 25 also wrote all the lyrics to the songs he sang in Top Secret! his very first film appearance. I’ve still got this film on VHS😬 and every now and then I take a little guilty pleasure trip down memory lane watching one of my fave 80’s comedy films. I must have watched it three or four times when I realised silly little but very clever sequences going on in the background behind the actors. It’s what makes this film such a pleasure to watch. Sad this film never got the recognition it deserved.
Loved Val in Heat, Tombstone and The Doors, he played Jim Morrison so well. Such a sad story for a talented actor. It just goes to show that no matter who you are or how healthy and strong you are, cancer will win in the end.
Its not that tragic. he had a full, rewarding life. His youth and beauty and talent are recorded for posterity. He'll die relatively fulfilled, and remembered for a time. Sounds alright to me.

@@nancychandler768 Correct ... Laurel Canyon music scene was designed to de rail the Anti Vietnam war movement .
Don’t care what he looked liked as he got old Val is Val a great actor and always our huckleberry!
Val is an incredible actor. He should be honored and respected and his privacy handled carefully.
I agree 💯
To Darrell Hansen.

Not many comments for "The Ghost and the Darkness", which is one of my all-time favorites. Always have enjoyed Val's movies, and I'm sorry to hear about this throat cancer.
Yes...I couldn't remember the name. Thanks! I saw one of the train carriage in a museum on a visit to Kenya. Neat story with man eaters.......
‘The Salton Sea’ as well..
Oh yeah that was a good one as well.
100% 🎯! For the life of me, I fail to understand how the bloody dickens these yuppy snothead 'reporters' dare comment on anybody's weight!
Most of the blooming time they are young people with old people's bodies themselves! The man has been fighting cancer and you expect him to maintain his youthful appearance!!! Get a life you piece of crap! Go get cancer and see how you deal with it 😤Btw...I'm a senior with the shape and figure of a 17 year old because I chose a more holistic approach to my health issues...
So to all these modern day sensation seeking ' reporters' get a decent job and earn your income honestly! 💥
The SALTON Sea was intricate!
It seem like Val made a large effort to have the relationship with his children that he always wanted. I consider him successful for that 💟
100%
Agreed
I totally agree with you
Val Kilmer looks pretty good for someone who went through one of the most brutal cancers..He's 62 so he is not going to age backwards (plastic surgery) like a lot of actors...Very sad he had to go through cancer without a partner but i'm sure his kids were there along side him..That's the cruel thing about Hollywood..They love you when you are on top but gain an inch of weight and they humiliate you..Val paid his dues and is one of the best actors to come out of Hollywood..Thank you for your contribution to the movie industry..Playing Jim Morrison was one of your best roles...♥️

We just watched Tombstone last night and flr me he is the highlight of the entire movie.
Agreed
Yes he was amazing as Doc Holliday.......
Well said
Had a housesitting assignment and watched it again this weekend. Ii never tire of tat huckleberry
Whatever you say about Val Kilmer. I can say he never failed to entertain me. Pretty much every movie he made has been great....
Yeah it infuriates me how the media treated him
Bloody oath, Fantastic actor 👍🇦🇺🍻
Modern hollywood is garbage
How cruel the things that the media said about him. How sad about the throat cancer.
The media seldom does anything good for our society. Back when they reported the actual news, fairly, balanced and with integrity, the media was a vital part of our society. Now, 97% of it is a cancer.
Hello, how’re you doing...?
His suffering is terrible, but I imagine it's even harder on him because of the public eye being on him and discecting his public image. That had to create tremendous personal turmoil for him. I hadn't followed him too closely,, I don't follow any celebrity really, but I did notice his disappearance in recent years. I can only wish him well and pray for the best for him and his children.
I'll give you something to cry about you wussy.
@@team3383 Truth
Mike well put. I feel exactly the same.
So... he made enemies for having high standards? No one bothered to mention why people hated working with him or whether it was for valid reasons or not. If his refusal to compromise his standards was taken as him challenging the authority of his superiors, then maybe it's the control obsessed superiors that were the difficult ones? This just leaves me with more questions than I had before it.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Everyone in Hollywood sounds like that. This Val kilmer thing seems much more sinister.
Yeah I was never really clear of why Val was a "difficult person to work with." I feel like it's never been explained too well???
That's so sweet, Val Kilmer's children helping their dad like that.
Actor in "top secret", the best comedy's movie I've ever seen!
With no hesitation, my favorite is Tombstone♥️. Very happy for you on overcoming your battle with cancer. So happy to see the support from your family.
Hello Patricia, how are you doing?
Val has everything he could ever need. The love and support of his children who see him for who he is.
That is priceless and the Greatest Award he could ever receive in life❣️
*I have NOT had a GirL Friend for 7 5 years!!! & you know Wut?*
*I'm NOT LoneLy & I am One of God's PeoPLe!!!*
@@Empathy4Animals411 we’re going to have to agree to disagree. I’d much prefer to have a voiceless sister and mother than not having them at all.
Jim Morrison in my opinion was his greatest, sorry to hear of all the suffering and anxiety he went through, hope he is on the mend
I thought he was incredible as Doc Holliday as well
Watch The Saint
I'm afraid we all grow old and when it comes to looks, time is cruel. At least he hasn't gone under the cosmetic knife. I hope he overcomes his battle with cancer with complete remission
Val was the man when I was a kid.... I remember top guns iceman being such a hotshot dick and his Bruce Wayne was pretty slick .... not to mention Jim morrison
The best way to grow old is to just except your gray hair and wrinkles and you will be wiser for it😘
He was true to himself
"I'll be your huckleberry" is one of the most well delivered lines in my movie watching history

I wish him well!
Thank You for making this thoughtful video.
my first introduction to Val was Willow as a kid. I thought he was such a cool warrior. Knowing that him an the princess of that actually got together an had kids pleases me very much cause you could see the chemistry they had.
An artist who acts his paintings , who could become the portrait of creativity on the canvas . Thank you for your commitment and your legacy of fine acting and films. GOD bless you and yours!
This guy is not a tragedy, he's a leading light in showing this fickle population how to carry on in the face of adversity God Bless you Val... you are a guarding light in a darkening world🏴🔥
I loved seeing him in Top Gun Maverick. I’m so glad they put him in the movie. They did it brilliantly. It’s sad what happened to him, but he’s still alive and can still give love to those close to him.
I am a survivor of stage4 throat cancer treatment is indescribable. Thank God I’m alive and i can still talk however, 5 years out its still difficult to swallow and depending on the day i wont eat in public. His Doc Holliday was badass
That “see myself a sensitive human being but with a soul of a clown” is a Jim Morrison quote.

Val Kilmer is a perfectionist. He believes in his acting and art, which Hollywood couldn’t handle!

The documentary he made "Val" is a masterpiece!
He will always be a legend! 💙
Hold up there! You have to be one to be able to always be one. You can’t finish the race without starting.
He looks so much older than 62...not saying it in a mean way but really shows how much cancer sucked out of him....I hope all goes good for him
2021 - 2023 still looking at Val & if he had asked someone who actually knew who he is not acting, Then he might of not been lonely , Jack & Mercedes 💕
Did y'all know that Val Kilmer has a book called "I'm Your Huckleberry"? 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🙄
it’s brilliant
Love Val Kilmer. So many great movies. I watch Tombstone often for one reason, Val acting as Holiday. Cult following level.

Loved him as Doc Holiday.
"Iv'e got two guns, One for each of you." an obscure line perhaps, but pure Val.
Me too. I believe Val's Doc is a universally loved character. That's why it's strange that this vid seemed to go out of its way to not mention it.
I think he is Top Man. Seems like a very sincere and easy to be with. excellent actor as well ❤️
I'm glad that Val kilmer was able to defeat cancer but it did a number on him unfortunately it was such a downer seeing that Val was talking with a microphone in his throat just like jack klugman was doing in his final years, tombstone was one of the best westerns ever and Val kilmer was the best doc Holliday ever and thunderheart was a great movie and was a true story
Yes! I almost forgot about that movie.
Not a microphone. That's a the voice he can manage now because of a trach in his throat.
I absolutely loved Willow as a kid and had a massive crush on him. I must’ve been about 11/12 and I loved Top Secret, thought it was really funny. Bless him I still have a crush on Mr Val Kilmer, loved his episode on Life’s Too Short’ with his old Willow cast mate and Ricky Gervais. I hope he finds his way back to acting soon 🫶❤️❤️❤️
Loved him in Tombstone. His Southern accent and one liners were perfect .
His role as Doc in Tombstone was his best work in my opinion
I've start being a fan of Val Kilmer when he played the role of Moses in "The Prince of Egypt"(1998).♥️♥️
He was great in the “Doors”!😊
His life has been so tragic
Nice video of his life and history of what he has done and where he is going, he still has that spark and wish him best in his life moving forward, if he can also wish him luck in a new relationship that also is good with his kids, as they are part of his life forever.

Such a good actor.. So many movies.. They should talk about him at the oscars so that he knows he is surrounded by so many that love him.
I am very sorry to have heard that Val Kilmer has had cancer of the throat. He is a good actor. I hope he makes a recovery.
its so hard to see him like this, he is OUR generations keystone
Oh please get a life, on set he had a reputation of being an arsehole
Loved Val in Heat, Tombstone and The Doors, he played Jim Morrison so well. Such a sad story for a talented actor. It just goes to show that no matter who you are or how healthy and strong you are, cancer will win in the end.
He had a charmed life better than most of us tough break dude your still in movies!
How sad. Yet inspiring. He remains. Still makes gains in his life! This is a strong man. Find your way and peace Mr Kilmer!
Its not that tragic. he had a full, rewarding life. His youth and beauty and talent are recorded for posterity. He'll die relatively fulfilled, and remembered for a time. Sounds alright to me.
