I'm sure there will be workers making sure the headset is snapped in properly. Like how workers always make sure the seat belts are fastened before the ride starts.
Besides Universal theme parks are really intended for low IQ poor people. Universal studios is expensive. A day for a small family of four can easily cost over $600 for the tickets, parking, food and drinks.
I feel like this is one of those rides that looks slow on video, but feels super fast in real life, similar to something like transfomers, spider-man, forbidden journey, etc.
the top speed is 2.5 mph, im positive thats what its gonna feel like, especially because you can see the physical props moving slowly past you, the screens aren't gonna do much
I actually experienced the ride the day it opened, but it is actually kind of slow. It very realistic was actually cool though. However Yoshi ride was actually a disaster... since everyone was expecting more because of this ride effecting the Snoopy roller coaster to close. It has great landscape but that is all...
@@RhythmGrizz do we really know that? The mario kart ride was marketed as this super fast and thrilling ride, and it doesn't even reach 3mph, the donkey king ride could just be a joke of a kid coaster
so damn elaborate when what they needed was a karting track with some nice backgrounds, some applied weapons and a bad guy in a suit driving among the other racers. it feels like vr and ar is used as a mechanism to cheap out on many things. i never understood those rollercoasters that dont move at all but just shake the chair while youre watching at a screen.
The official USJ footage looks easy better than the POVs. The ride looked too dark before but I guess that was the result of phone cameras calibrating on the AR lighting.
They should totally use the Mario Kart technology for a star wars x wing ride (would need longer ride vehicle and rear wings to look like x wing) or snowspeeder ride if they want a compact ride vehicle
I get most people would've preferred a Radiator Springs type attraction for Mario Kart, but given the amount of thrill rides at Universal already and those coming to Epic, I am pumped to have a different type of attraction. It looks incredible! Also dark ride style seems like a better system for a world as interesting as Mario.
look at the video for the dynamic attractions dual power coaster, that is what people wanted and were expecting, this ride is definitely not "the most technologically advanced ride ever" as universal put it
@@mikeywebb9598 saw it. Looks cool but at speed I imagine AR gets wonky and as Nintendo is a game-first company I imagine they prefer the game mechanics over speed. Hard, maybe impossible for a ride to be both interactive and thrilling/fast. Not to mention a big space footprint
look at the dynamic attractions dual power coaster, its a new type of ride that this should have been, its INCREDIBLE, it can have launches, drift, simulate jumps off a ramp, go upside down
No they are part of the AR system. They are very heavy and probably cost quite a bit to produce considering the innovative technology used on the ride.
So much technology is going into these rides it's ridiculous. But kudos to Universal, all the hard work has made it a better amusement park than Disney World imo.
Do you know I if the lenses in front of the face are transparent screens or are they just reflecting from above? I assume reflectors and a phone style screen above. Maybe oled.
Super Nintendo World in Hollywood 2022 probably. Orlando 2025 probably. Secret Life of Pets whenever Hollywood reopens with rides. SLOP will more than likely open with the park. 😉
While it’s cool, am I the only one tired of all the virtual reality ride stuff? It seems like every time disney or universal has a new attraction it’s some sort of virtual reality. I want more coasters. High speed, drops, loops, going backwards, ect.
I seen other videos and it looks VERY slow however, like the Spiderman ride, it moved VERY slow but was pretty effective of making it seem you were moved fast.
If there EVER as a revisiting of SEGA World I would LOVE a version of this with Sonic R as a theme (NO VOCALS IN THE MUSIC THOUGH). Or maybe, just maybe, SONIC AND SEGA ALL STARS RACING TRANSFORMED! ruclips.net/video/7CU3CDOK2Ag/видео.html
You are wrongly using the terms, course, race, match, cup and scene. A cup consists of 4 races by the way. The ride is the Universal cup consisting of 4 races. The term match shouldn't be used at all in this context, etc.
I saw POV. It is very disappointing. Didn’t expect such Buzz lightyear ride. Universal Studios kinda failed this. I don’t think people would revisit for this.
All I got was human trafficked in Oregon, this irreverently country-coded dating sim and this Oracle of Ages t-shirt. Oh, no, the people who trafficked me stole it. And my new Switch. Nintendo, isn't there someone - like shot in the dark the foreign legion - other than Nintendo I can turn to when I get as good as a Japanese primary-schooler about video game math?
Your video is great, but I hate this ride. Not even close to what I expected or hoped for. I'm sure it's enjoyable for what it is, but a big miss with a big IP, in my opinion. It's like reverse Galaxy's Edge; they got the land right and the rides wrong.
This ride is a disappointment on all levels, it literally goes 2.5 mph and has a height requirement taller the Test Tracks, its is nowhere near "the most technologically advanced ride ever" as stated by the company, and hate to be the one to say it, but the karts are way too big, they dont look like karts, they look like ride vehicles, ugly and clunky ones. The dynamic attractions dual power coaster is what this ride should have been
Pffft. i don't even care about Hollywood and Orlando. They will never offer the same experience as the Tokyo one because well....no Japanese people. Well, very few I'm sure.

Unofficial ride footage, replaced with official clips. But some of the video was rewritten and updated to reflect new info too.

LOL I am so so sorry haha 😆
projection mapping, augmented reality, screen projections, with an awesome Mario Kart theme filled with details
sounds like a unique attraction to me
It's missing one final effect. An Earth-shattering BOOM to simulate a controller being thrwn at the TV in anger.

Guaranteed at least 10 people each day will try to exit the vehicle without disconnecting the augmented reality.

Very detailed explanation
Everything going according the plan in Universal Hollywood. Checking it all weekly
Hopefully this ride comes to the uk in university admissions courses at Chessington
Anyone expected Yoshi at 7:01 to roll his tongue and grab an apple?
Looks great, a little slow, but great. I just wish that the AR could be better recorded by normal cameras.
Im disapointed by the lack of speed of the ride.

Reflective I believe.
Question I saw another alternate ending all I see the platform and no one is on it only the universal cup is on what does that mean?
Nintendo should have their own theme park

I still don’t understand exactly how this works. Is it all projections or is the whole ride on a track
The ride is on a track, going through real sets and objects. Only the very ending is all projections.
Almost as good as Fast and Furious Supercharged.
How fast 💨 is the Mario Kart ride?

Can people in wheel chairs go up the stairs? Is there a elevator?
Yes, there is an elevator and separate pathway for accessibility needs.
But will the ride be big person friendly? Lol 😆
The ride would be even better if it used trackless vehicles
I saw in a video that Universal might not do ant more trackless rides, after all the problems they had with Skull Island Reign of Kong.
