God, I absolutely adore this thing because it's so old. As a sports car it's so much better than anything modern with the hydraulic steering, the manual gearbox, the real handbrake, the real gauges not screen crap, the lack of refinement and noise insulation. It's exactly what a sports car should be. The only thing I'd delete is that "infotainment" screen and it would be perfect. It's the best car that Nissan makes, I'd say the only real car.
I love my 2018 Heritage 370Z 6spd, It's fast, reliable and cost under 30K. And I bought it to drive so I don't care about the old tech everyone whines about. It fits in my small garage with my 2019 Frontier 4x4 just right.
One thing that drove me crazy about my old 6MT G35 sedan was how short the 1st gear was. You have to rev the engine pretty high even in normal driving to keep up with traffic. A car with a decent amount of torque I felt like it was a waste to have such short gearing.
That’s what other drivers don’t like about noisy sports cars. It’s literally like smoking cigarettes- don’t impose your habit onto people around you: So they give you a mic’d version of your engine note instead of you imposing your boom onto everyone else.
@@nextleveljourney6612 Lol, stop being silly with this Karen mindset, that doesn't make any sense. Go live in the boonies if a simple car can bother you that much. You'll hardly bother someone with a proper exhaust on any sports car, let alone if it's stock.

While Nissan/Infiniti don’t really have a car that goes up against. The German M, AMG, and RS models, their cars are pure fun and do cater to the enthusiast in you. Excellent exhaust and engine sounds, high revving engines, crisp Bose sound systems, reasonable maintenance costs, STRONG aftermarket support. They make great daily drivers, for the street racing enthusiast, and provide year-round satisfaction for those that truly love to drive. That being said, I’m about to hop in my Infiniti for a little Sunday cruise, now, myself. ✌🏾
I think the new age just wants power, straight line speed, and luxury all in one. Everyone nowadays forgets about manual transmissions, hydraulic steering, engine noise, exhaust noise, and vibration - the things us car enthusiasts love. No one buys a 370z to drag. Its roots are in drifting, handling, responsive inputs, etc. I really miss the days of the honda civic em1, s14 240 - loud and intrusive, but purity.
That fake exhaust sound in the cabin is horrible. Can’t believe how bad it is. Sounds like an old computer F1 game running on a 386 with internal PC speaker.

I still love the 370z. Yeah, they're pretty outdated (mainly interior wise) but the engine with a manual is so much fun and the new Nismo looks soo good. I can't attest too much about the driving characteristics of the z but I own a g37 sedan and with aftermarket sways, the car drives amazingly well. Just wish the g also had the active rev matching. It would've been a nice feature to play with.
I dpmt understand why people are calling it old and outdated. How is this nisno on the snow does it ride pretty smooth through snow or does rwd rear wheel drive get caught or stuck in snow
@@leonelbarra-alvarez8424 The reason I say it's outdated is mainly the interior with the infotainment system. It was an okay system back in 2009 when it first came out but the fact that you get 2009 tech in a 2020 car was its downfall imo. I think the main argument for the car being old is that the engine and transmission is something out of 2009 where newer cars tend to use direct injection and some sort of forced induction. Don't get me wrong, I love the VQ in this car, but some people may see it as a negative. However, the new Nissan Z does seem like it will solve those issues. I am very excited about the new Z. In terms of snow performance, I barely have any experience but rwd would be more difficult to drive for the average person because oversteer is generally more difficult to control than understeer. I'm sure that with proper snow tires and a competent driver, they won't have issues but for the everyday driver, it may be more difficult.
Honestly Im already kinda missing this style of pod gauges from the 2000's, gives it that fast and furious/need for speed look. While every new car has a tablet stuck on the dash and shit
I've never understood all the hate for this car! 350 HP out of a naturally aspirated V6 = fantastic. 7500 RPM redline = fantastic. 3400 lbs give or take = decently light. Available in a 6 speed manual, great brakes, decent weight distribution, and decently comfortable. Never have I ever understood all the hate
I have a 2018 Heritage 370Z and it's great, most performance for the dollar around. 0-60 in 5 seconds, .99gs in a corner not to big not to loud. And it fits in my little garage with my Nissan frontier also the best value and performance in it's class. Both around 30K new.
I'm borrowing a friend's 2010 370Z manual and it's crazy how unchanged it is 10 years later. Other than the engine sound, it's a pretty good driving experience.

Test drove one a few months ago and I'm convinced it's the great medium that he suggests. You can drive it towards its limit without feeling overwhelmed while still having a considerable amount of fun. The power coupled with its light weight really makes it a middle weight sports car. The bose system is quite better than you'd expect, especially for a car its age. Im pretty sure I'll own one within the next year.
@@idokwatcher2062 I misspoke, its a middle weight but compared to most of the affordable sports cars and grand tourers on the market here in America its about 300 pounds lighter and typically has a shorter wheelbase/overall length. ~3300 pounds is relatively light compared to a mustang gt at ~3600. Only th I ngs lighter that are in the same affordability bracket are the GT86 platform, Miata and S2000. Me be I ng 5'8 220 I honestly feel too big next to/inside those cars and with the exception of the S2000, there's little to no passing power.
I think the 370Z is the coolest vehicle nissan produces after the ty-frontier-osaurus and Titan. I like the GTR but i don't like automatics. 370Z wins.
I like how the 370z tries to keep its roots, sadly though some of the outdated tech is gonna make these sell well for used cars and never be bought new, Idk in my opinion Nissan is lacking compared to other companies when it comes to that, but I bet the driving experience is phenomenal I'd love to test drive one
The driving experience is very... meh. Think 350z but the steering is somehow even more rubbery, the vq37 is ok but doesnt have the same character its predecessor did. Its a 6 tenths car. Comparable to the genesis coupe. Great on paper, disappointing in practice. The miata is the way, especially after its latest refresh.
I've driven one and they are just as fun as you expect. The inside is a little smaller then you'd expect but power is their it is indeed a fun car and sounds Incredible in person under Throttle..deff drive one. Amazing seating position aswell and makes a lot of torque for what it is..Could use another 15hp for the top end power but low end and mid-range is strong..and that 15hp can easily be achieved buy one of the many tunes they make for these cars ..I drove the automatic tho so I can't speak on the manual .I'm sure it's just as fun if not more shifting the gears yourself and the instant throttle response even tho people say these are actually faster in the auto
Nutz kun I don’t know what “rubbery” means. I have a 2017 nismo and the steering is tight. I’ve had the car for 3 years and still get excited in anticipation when I’m about to drive it (It’s not a daily driver).
Major Mayhem we must have driven very different cars, in my experience both the 350z and the 370 suffer from lifeless steering. Its tight but artificially so, it doesnt communicate the road nearly as well as its competitors. But again, it isnt meant to. Its for all intents and purposes a japanese mustang, not a worthy rival of the miata or a 86. Too heavy. Understeers like a pig and that cheap feeling interior translates in to the entire driving experience, everything about it feels halfway complete (once again, a 6 tenths car) Its a real shame too because nissan used to be really good about making playful chassis’. These days they develop a decent engine and cobble the rest of the car together with scraps. For what its worth though i love the vq35 to death (not so much the 37 for reasons i cant quantify, namely sound) I daily drove an altima with one for years and it refused to die. Sold it with 280k miles on the clock. Then again, it was designed in a much better time for nissan... even then though the build quality was miserable, and its only become worse with time.
@@VolvosandHondas I agree with you on the quality part but disagree with you on comparing a powerful z to a Miata or a86 lol I know your not comparing a HR or G37 or 370z car ..a first Gen auto DE yes I totally agree
Also, for people who complain about the Z's infotainment system which is a fine gripe to have, because I wish it was SLIGHTLY better as a Z owner myself... Nissan and Infiniti never ever change that stuff. I worked at Nissan and I promise you guys every car has been the same for years really. I mean the Armada, Q50, Q60, Maxima, 370z, and a few others have had the same system for years. A few cars get updates every now and then but it's mostly only when the cars themselves have a pretty noticeable update.
Seen heard one of these in real life and I don't know what people on the internet are talking about, these things still look and sound great. People on the internet are always complaining.
Just bought a new 2020 Nismo, just like the one here on this video. Had to get it. I am a old school type of guy. Love analog, naturally aspirated cars with a manual and rear wheel drive. You don't see them any more. And the car is only made by Nissan and Nissan Motorsports (Nismo). Not some one else. Reliability, its been around for 11 yrs (damn), its old Nissan. The bad thing on this car is the slave cylinder, although there was an update in 2018 or 2019 on the clutch I was told at the dealership. Its a Greedy clutch in mine, came stock. Had a little over 3 months now, no problems but one little squeak when I hit a hard bump in the road. Found it and working on it. Price I paid, Sticker-$47600, I paid $44048 out the door with tax and I traded nothing in. Had to drive 400 miles to get it in a manual, but was worth it. As for the infotainment system, YES its old Infinity. The finish is updated a little and the graphics are updated on the screen as well as the nav. But you did not buy the car for the infotainment system anyway. 245/35/19 on front with a 9.5 inch width rim and 295/35/19 on the rear with a 10.5 inch width rim.
Unfortunately, a trend in the auto industry is to include more and more technology into new vehicles as time goes on. It's refreshing to see an auto maker that caters to those who don't need or want the electronic gadgets to alter the experience of driving. Call me old school but I want a raw manual car with power steering and a naturally aspirated engine. Sure, Nissan is saving some money also by making minor updates. But the 350z and 370z drive differently in stock form. I prefer the 350z myself and own both. However, the face lifted Nismo 370z in the video is my favorite spec within the Z34 generation.
I own a 2018 Altima SR. My first buy and I hope by the time I finish paying it off I can get a 370z Nismo afterwards if I’m lucky. It’s essentially my dream car.
The interior looks dated. Even the interior in the 2008 Acura TL type s looks better then that. But regardless, it’s nice to drive a car with a manual transmission.

Thank god you can disable that idiotic artificial sound, it's hideous.
It sounds so stupid! It sounds like a cat moaning!
That’s what other drivers don’t like about noisy sports cars.
It’s literally like smoking cigarettes- don’t impose your habit onto people around you:
So they give you a mic’d version of your engine note instead of you imposing your boom onto everyone else.
@@nextleveljourney6612 ok karen
@@nextleveljourney6612 Lol, stop being silly with this Karen mindset, that doesn't make any sense. Go live in the boonies if a simple car can bother you that much. You'll hardly bother someone with a proper exhaust on any sports car, let alone if it's stock.

I’m not mad about car sounds.
I like Car sounds and I have a Mazda 5 speed 🕹
I was just speculating why Carmakers are Mic’ing the sound into the BJ for their Buyers.
11:45 That sound's good! Great car and great vídeo
For anyone wondering, the 400z was in the new Nissan commercial. So it's coming.
I Love the music parts of the videos, never take them out! It reminds of being in a roadtrip and just cruising along
As old as this car is, it still looks beautiful.
I had a 2010 370z and loved that car. Feels very sporty.
That fake exhaust sound in the cabin is horrible. Can’t believe how bad it is. Sounds like an old computer F1 game running on a 386 with internal PC speaker.
mrnicktoyou bruh facts
Lmao coming from someone that doesn't even own one or even driven. Shut up dude you're a follower putting a comment that you've seen from somewhere else. I'm sure your minivan makes better exhaust sound
CoupeLifeVQ I have a 6.0 LS V8 with 3 inch exhaust. It makes a better sound than almost anything and doesn’t need fake sound through the speakers.
@@mrnicktoyou that's the point of it. The exhaust is dead silent for men who don't want obnoxious sound all day. I remember when I was 20 loud cars were cool. Preference I guess but the sound is not terrible especially coming from a guy that hears it everyday
I dont mind it
A 6 speed manual transmission is still available in 2020......Thank you Nissan!!!
Still looks good even though its old. It is pretty funny seeing a "new car" with interior parts that're in our 2009 Altima coupe though lmao.
😂😂😂true
Yeah idk why nissan didn't update the interior at least if not the engine.
Honestly Im already kinda missing this style of pod gauges from the 2000's, gives it that fast and furious/need for speed look. While every new car has a tablet stuck on the dash and shit

@@grantapalooza998 fr, i prefer the look of these era dashes compared to now. Digital just doesnt feel right idk
Bunch of picky soy beans around. It's the last of a dying breed, and so are enthusiasts apparently. Sad tbh
One word: Jealousy.
i can appreciate this car because how many RWD v6 2 door sports cars are there left? yes its incredibly outdated but hopefully the 400z is coming.
The 400z was in the new Nissan commercial. Its coming.
@@NotAdamSnider when those drop hopefully so do the prices on 350z and 370z ill def be picking one up
This will still look nicer though
I have a 2018 Heritage 370Z and it's great, most performance for the dollar around. 0-60 in 5 seconds, .99gs in a corner not to big not to loud. And it fits in my little garage with my Nissan frontier also the best value and performance in it's class. Both around 30K new.
One of the last Mohicans… I love it❤️
As a z4 owner. I CRAVE the raw driving centered aspect of the 370z to get away from the luxury and disconnected feel of a luxury sports car
What a lovely sports car . Its easy fun to drive and great performance
I'm borrowing a friend's 2010 370Z manual and it's crazy how unchanged it is 10 years later. Other than the engine sound, it's a pretty good driving experience.
the handling over all on these cars ( the g35/37's) are amazing as well
I want one..despite the outdated stuff in it still awesome, beside its the power that I care about..NO stupid CVT and turbos just straight natural power..im old school so this up my alley
My legit dream car😌😍 is a Nissan 370Z Nismo
Last real manuaI car.this is fantastic car for every day.the sound engine is fantastic.I have drive 350z in 2008 and still remember. My love from Greece🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
The 370Z sound always reminds me of the DB7s V12.
This guy definitely deserves more views and subscribers!
I would love to see more of this car!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
This video is my kind of pace, passion, and information balance, not to mention pretty elegant driving. Cheers bro.
I can't lie the buttons and interior looks dated for a 2020 car, but nonetheless a very nice looking car!
The whole interior is at least from 2009
The way the infotainment screen is set is distinctively 2007-2008 g35/g37
The interior would look dated for a 2010 car tbh.
was thinking the same thing and even the exterior of the car looks dated. they really need to relaunch the Z
@@thekornrole They are...
1650kg ain't lightweight :( biggest flaw of this car. two seater that heavy is absurd.
Did you end up getting one?
Yo they're still making this car? Holy crap. I'm definitely getting a lightly used one at some point.
Strictly Come Driving yea there's no point in buying a brand new one you might as well get a older model it's cheaper and is pretty much the same
Owned a 2011 370Z, loved that car. So much fun to drive...like a gecko on the road.
Would be interesting in these vehicles to see the variance between the throttle and engine response if there was a pedal-cam POV.
Definitely the best 370z review I've seen.
I think the 370Z is the coolest vehicle nissan produces after the ty-frontier-osaurus and Titan. I like the GTR but i don't like automatics. 370Z wins.
i love 370z
@@poordriverreview8333 i think it's saving nissan. It's a really good naturally aspirated V6 vehicle. I prefer the normal 370Z with nismo seats.
Engine noise enhancement through speakers is misleading the consumer in my opinion. Raw, pure, authentic the way to go.
Especially in a sports car!
Yeah that noise enhancement would have to go if I owed this. I’d by a bimmer if I wanted to hear that fake noise bs.
Seen heard one of these in real life and I don't know what people on the internet are talking about, these things still look and sound great. People on the internet are always complaining.
I love that car! Just a pure driving experience at a reasonnable price! What else do you need? Greetings from Germany!
OMG - these roads....🥺 regards from Europe😉
Unfortunately, a trend in the auto industry is to include more and more technology into new vehicles as time goes on. It's refreshing to see an auto maker that caters to those who don't need or want the electronic gadgets to alter the experience of driving. Call me old school but I want a raw manual car with power steering and a naturally aspirated engine. Sure, Nissan is saving some money also by making minor updates. But the 350z and 370z drive differently in stock form. I prefer the 350z myself and own both. However, the face lifted Nismo 370z in the video is my favorite spec within the Z34 generation.
Lmao, mans car has auto tune 😂
One of the very few raw sports cars you can get. I used to own one. It’s a very driver focused car.
@5:25 looking for paddle shifters XD
The reverse camera in the mirror just lets me know I’m in reverse. Aside from that I wouldn’t trust it much.
Even though the interior is all the way from 2009, it’s still a nice car!!
It's just crazy just how good the 22 wrx is.
To keep up with 350hp and to blow it out of the water in the twisties is just nuts.
Can't wait till they depreciate so I can buy for a fraction.
They hold up their value pretty well, specially the manuals
Car still goes for 17k
Just a 2015 or older Nismo or other 370Z for cheaper. Literally no difference at all
A 2009 is literally the same... Unless you want a nismo? I think they came out a bit later, but still, literally the same car...
I don’t think they will depreciate that much but when the 400Z comes out they will probably get a bit cheaper
I own a 2018 Altima SR. My first buy and I hope by the time I finish paying it off I can get a 370z Nismo afterwards if I’m lucky. It’s essentially my dream car.
Nissan really milked this genereation
milked would be understatement tbh
Yep. They do that a lot. They did it with their trucks.
More like forgot they had it and dropped a new trim lvl to get people happy.
Love that saying “new old car”.
The interior looks dated. Even the interior in the 2008 Acura TL type s looks better then that. But regardless, it’s nice to drive a car with a manual transmission.
Those 3rd gen TLs are the best cars ever. They looked great, ride/handled great and aged very well.
IKhan hell yeah. I use to drive one those Acuras. I had one with a 6 speed manual transmission. It was a good first car.
It has a CD player 😂

It sucks when your dream car is going out of style and when you get old enough to buy one they will all have high mileage on them.
