    Randy, I can’t thank you enough for your valuable information on flukes. By far this is the most detailed fluke tutorial I can find. I already book marked and save it as my fluke fishing Bible. Thank you so much.

    Arkansas shiner is my favorite color. Also I prefer the original 4 inch fluke as opposed to the Super Fluke. With the original you can rig it on a drop shot and tear em up in the hottest months.

    Randy, one of my favorite baits. The natural random darts makes it unique and irresistible. Thanks for taking to the time to focus on fluke/slug-go.

    Thanks Randy one of your best videos yet. Im in the South Florida area and never really spent much time in Flukes. In fact I just stated to fishing them more serious and watching you here today, learning how to use it, I learned so much from you today that would’ve taken me months to learn. If you can make more videos like this about other Baits, it would be fantastic. I really enjoyed this because you covered it all from soup to nuts, everything about it, what hooks to use, how to use it, colors, etc. Thats what we need more of, thanks again keep making great ones

    Hey there! Firstly, I'm really enjoying the fresh format of your seminar videos.
    Fluke Fishing Techniques:
    * Traditional: I've begun using the popular method of a small jig head, similar to what walleye fishermen do.
    * Neko Rig: I've had a lot of success with neko rigging the fluke. Specifically, I use a 1 or 1/0 redline VMC seedless Neko hook combined with a VMC crossover ring and a 1/32 oz nail weight. Using Yamamoto D shads this way, I've landed over 100 bass, including a 5.5 lb one in a small pond!
    * Hover Strolling Hook: Another technique I've been exploring.
    * Drop Shot with Minnow Style Flukes: This has been effective when fish are just 1-2 feet off ledges or by drop-offs near the bank. I generally use 4-5” minnow style flukes on a drop shot with a 1/0 or 2/0 owner down shot offset hook. Kalin’s jerk shads (4 or 5”) work perfectly for this method. I aim to keep them 1-2 feet off the bottom.
    Would love for you to give these a shot and share your thoughts. Keep up the great work! 😊

    Hello Randy, these are great lesson videos! Thanks! Also, I’ve been watching the ads all the way through, and I am 100% convinced that RUclips doesn’t want that. Now many of my ads here are way long ones. It’s as if they(Algos) are trying to make me push skip. I will make them pay😂

    I was about to think you forgot about the Fluke for bass busting on the surface. It will catch them when they won’t hit other top water lures. I’ve also had great success using a double Fluke rig, especially for top water action.
    The first time I fished a Sluggo was 30+ years ago on Lake Monticello in Texas. I caught one over 5 lbs on one my first cast with it.
    Another tremendous video, Randy. Thank you so much.

    Flukes are killers in the saltwater for a whole bunch of species. So these rigging tricks and hacks are really good for me to learn. I've been using them on weedless underspin hooks or on jig heads and catching redfish, trout and flounder. I also caught the smallest cobia I've ever seen on one with an underspinner about a month ago. They're very good for snook and tarpon in Florida too.

    Hey! I like these long format videos.
    Another idea might be doing long videos on fishing certain areas/types of cover.
    I don't have much experience and am invited to join a friend at LOZ so being able to watch a comprehensive video on fishing docks would be awesome.

    Love these long video randy! Will you please do a video (long one) on crankbait vs lipless. Spinnerbait vs. Underspin. Buzzbait vs. Walking. Etc

    • @jesseboyden3119
      @jesseboyden3119 Год назад

      Buzzbait vs walking is easy. Walking bait has trebble hooks therefor not weed less he's for open water. Buzzbait is alot more weedless and moves faster. He's better in and around cover.

    • @jesseboyden3119
      @jesseboyden3119 Год назад

      Billed crankbaits deflect off cover where lipless baits do not. That one is easy also

    Tried the nose hook technique with the cps spring and caught my 1st Largemouth on it today. In my kayak with a spinning rod its tough to set the hook on a heavier ewg hook so I gave this method a try. It works!

    Thks for another great video. question- you are strongly against the braid to Fluoro in part because you say the fish can see the braided line. Why wouldn’t the same fish be spooked by the rigging of a Carolina rig? 36:33

    In Commiefornia, we've mastered the fluke. We've also adapted them from striper fishing. This includes, but not limited to boiling your flukes, adding hackles, scenting, adding sounds, etc. Tho shall not come at me. I will render yall on the quick quick.
