    It's weird to me that people wouldn't prefer this type of topic. Lure color doesn't matter much if you're not putting them in front of fish.

    To me, finding the fish, i.e. the hunt is what makes fishing fun. Catching the fish is the reward for your strategy of finding them. Good video.

    This is why Randy could never be a hypocrite. He tells you not to use livescope and then gives you the juice to make ffs a less tempting option for catching fish. The younger generation doesn't realize how these secrets are fiercely gaurded. Randy's giving it away for a good cause. A stand up dude. 👍

    • @dan5danPT
      @dan5danPT 4 месяца назад +1

      I agree wholeheartedly that Randy gives us the juice these days! I do find it interesting though that it has taken something as ridiculous as what is happening with livescope to get a lot of our old school anglers to give up long held secrets that they have used for decades to kick our butts at the tourneys.
      I never had a fishing mentor myself & have had to gleen info slowly as a coangler & through good old trial & error. So, I hope more of Randy’s contemporaries begin to unravel their decades of closely held secrets to help keep fishing real & fun for this up and coming generation.

      @@dan5danPTI had to read your comment a couple times to make sure I understood what you were saying. So I think I understand what you said. And I don’t really watch any other RUclips channels and been watching Randy since he started RUclips with that said. I think your comment was referring to it took something like FFS before someone would talk about traditional bass fishing (the juice). I know for a fact that Randy has spent many hours in yard at the old house with the chickens 😂 talking about bass movement and bass behavior 3 years ago and he was saying the same thing then that no one watches these videos but he has been very faithful in providing (the juice) for years way before FFS took off.

    • @dan5danPT

      @@rickyblackburn9533 No offense meant to Randy by my comment. I've also been following him (paid subscriber here) for a few years now. And yes, he has been willing to share lots of juice on his main channel (even more on the private vids). My point was that with so many of the top tier pros doing so much FFS stuff now, maybe the older crew that have been around for a decade or more will be more open to sharing THEIR juice too.
      Was watching a Todd Castledine video (another great channel) earlier today where he was talking to Matt Steffan about the importance of keeping information to yourself. Todd shares a lot as well, but moreso on his paid channel (the only other RUclipsr I subscribe to). I'm just hoping that maybe this push away from old school fishing may help our secretive tendencies to loosen up a bit especially with the younger anglers. We need to get them to stop looking at screens and start getting in touch with the world around them!

I'm a kayak fisherman and understanding how to break down a gigantic body of water and where to begin is absolutely paramount. Commenters on other channels give Randy way too much flak and if they knew so much about fishing then why are they watching videos on RUclips instead of fishing. Thanks for everything Randy, and please keep up these advanced seminars.

    Hey Randy:
    I know you don't have much of an opportunity to read comments, but just in-case you do. As a 70 year old avid bass guy I enjoy all your commentary. Here is an example of of your cold water jerkbait tip that I have never tried. The X Nannan +1 in which I have never owned until now. Believe it or not for 3 trips this February in 46 to 49 degree water i was able to catch 10 to 12 bass each day of only 4 hrs fishing. Tried several other sizes that did not produce while I was getting bit.
    Who says you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Much appreciated keep doing what you do.

    Thank you for speaking out against ffs. Anyone who loves bass fishing would speak out especially those getting paid for using it. Not all fisheries can handle that sort of pressure. My home lake isn't even stocked..... And they just started allowing gas powered boats. I bet they gave no thought to it being a migratory bird habitat and that ffs will destroy the fish that are a vital part of the ecosystem.
