Hahaha! Most guy’s make a 45 minute video on their boats covering everything from front to back, bottom to top and side to side… Tim, “here’s my new boat, keeping the old one, had a Tracker, padded deck and a couple of screens “…. Enough of that, let’s talk about fluke’s”…. It’s all about fishing with these guy’s! Love it🎣
Another one is double fluke set up bro. Use 2 diffrent line lengths, like your main line, go up 12 inches up line, tie on a 12 inch leader, hook your heavy hooks, 2 flukes.... can be 💵!!!! You did cover it!!! What i get for writing before i watch whloe video, i knew it when i wrote it, that you would lol. Best channel on you tube, Tim, and Matt!! 16:12 !! Legends!!!!
I caught my pb in May after using tips from one of your videos where you talked about flukes and the best colors smokin shad did the trick. It was a long cast and it crushed it as soon as it hit the water and I was fishing from the bank so it was tricky to land it
I've been using the super fluke jr. weightless on a 1/0 ewg. Just yesterday I was fishing gin clear water and I could see those bass just hunting that fluke down and just hammering it. It was a good day!
Landed 17 Double hookups yesterday , and 40ish singles ! All on the Fluke JR . Your video was directly responsable for my sucess. Down sizing was definitely the key. The Jrs matched the shad size perfectly . Thanks for always putting out great info !
Love these fluke videos! A few years ago I watched one of Matt and Tim's fluke videos and end up catching one of the biggest fish in have caught even to this day...flukes are so much fun especially this time of year.
I love the fluke so versatile in my opinion. Its becoming a confident bait for me, you guys rock videos are so informative learned alot from tactical bassin thanks guys
What we have here TB family is probably the most versatile bait that ever existed most definitely one of them. You can fish them shallow deep top water or fish them slow from skipping across lily pads to catching redfish in the surf the fluke should be in every fisherman's arsenal. Especially these days as it's often overlooked because of so many other baits on the market. When bass in your lake have seen every swimbait and every googan bait tie on a fluke! Thanks Tim
The zoom and lunker city tiny fluke (3” I believe) is another good option for sizing way down. I typically use them on small jigheads or BFS style EWG hooks.
Beautiful boat Tim , and great video coming down to chickamauga mid October I'll definitely try this set up it be awesome to run into you or Matt on the water 😊
I am a riverbank fisherman here in Fredericton New Brunswick. I use a weighted twist locks hooks in river current or just twist locks hooks in 4 and 5/0 hooks. I have the zoom and strike king KVD flukes
Wow I have never heard of the zoom fluke Junior. I will order some A.S.A.P ! Because I away seem to land more fish with a smaller presentation. I know I will slay some fish with this in my arsenal.
Ive heard you say this is great time for bass to be chasing schooling downsized baitfish but no mention of the Alabama rig.... Logically I would think it would be a great choice as a lure during this time but never put it into practice. Is there a reason as to why or why not it would be used during this time period. Thanks!!!
Tim, great video as always. Still interested in learning more about the new Skeeter. What made you decide on Skeeter? What other brands did you consider? Understand the sentimental attachment to the Champ but would like to learn more about the Skeeter and your decision process. Thanks!!!
Bubblegum zoom flukes slay stripers and bluefish! What about a jighead? I rig on a 4/0 1/2oz tt headlock. Don't forget zman scented jerk shadz and streakz xl!
Hi Jason, I lived in Okeechobee for about 18 years and yes the fluke works great and not to changed the subject i recommend a trip to Fellsmere to fish Headwaters
What is it about Champion Boats that has made you and Matt search for them specifically when you want or need (in Matt's case from a few years back) a new (to you) boat?
They have a great ride in rough water. I’ve owned Skeeter, Ranger, Pro Craft and Champion and the Champion rides the best of those boats. It’s also the driest ride in rough windy conditions. Currently have a Champion. I’d really like to know what the most popular bassboat the locals run on the Great Lakes. Those lakes get really bad.
matt and tim were in california mostly on clear lake fishing open waters .Champion boats are one of the best for handling in rough water conditions on open lakes because of their hull design. It is known as a" deep v wedge"
Take a look at Rabbid Baits Rab Shad. Six in. Hybird soft jirk bait. it's got fox Fure tail for a unique action. LMB eats them great turns out stripers on the delta can't leave them alone either. I don't sell them or make them. found them browsing the web.
What type of line are you using? It could just be line twist from loading the reel improperly. If using classic mono, just soak the reel in warm-hot tap water for a few minutes to relearn the ‘memory’ of the line to the reel.
If I bought a new boat today it'd probably be a Skeeter. I'm running a 2002 Ranger 195VS I bought new. Yamaha 2 cycle 200 HP for $42 grand. Well maintained. Gargage kept. Basic Lowrance Live 12 front and helm. No way I can pay $105k for new outfitted Skeeter but nice to dream.
Bro, if your gonna use a flukes, staple is the zoom version. But bro, not to mention , Lunker city, the original fluke. Nobody has sizes that lunker city, atlest mention and give them some love, cause i been fishing them for 30 years(flukes), and in swifter water like small mouth rivers, creeks no better than a small Lunker city fluke.
I am looking to get a jerkbait rod so my question is for you guys. All opinions are welcome. Does the Shimano Zodias 6'-10" medium have the same taper and action as the Expride 6'-10" medium?
Broke my all purpose “safety blanket” rod yesterday and I think it’s time to diversify. I have a 7.1 med spinning rod for my drop shot, ned rig, finesse jig, etc. but I’d like to get a good casting rod for my other fave lures. I like cranks, spinners, bodes jigs, and I’d like to use swim jigs and the occasional whopper plopper too. Anyone know a good all rounder for those lures?
Honestly for me anything with a treble hook like crank baits or top water with treble hooks I use a medium rod. For spinners, chatterbaits, Texas rig I use medium heavy. Fast. Try a Falcon from Academy or a 13 rod. See what you like. When I figured I liked a medium action on my cranks I got a shimano expride
Why do we throw an A-Rig in the spring when fish are feeding Pre-Spawn but not even talked about when fish are chasing giant bait balls throughout the fall?
Man idk why but I have to sub every time I watch a video. I loiterally watched a video subbed and then went to watch the next video and had to sub again I've don e it like eight times now I don't understand why I keep getting booted off the channel. I've been sub fo9r over a year and the last few days I've resub like 10 times. You know if anyone else is having that happen? I love your channel so I want to know when you put out anything new
UPDATE: I fished the NRX+ DSR and it’s a big jump from the Expride in sensitivity. I was surprised with the number of subtle bites I could feel. Moving forward, looking to replace the Vanford 2000 size with an Exsense 3000. Is it a much better reel even those it’s heavier?
It's heavier but only slightly then again alot of these reels are highly overrated. My go to reel is still a 50 dollar abu Garcia black max. From bass tournaments to catching big reds in the surf it gets er done. Between that and curado 200s I don't need new rods and reels.
@@wolfspiritoutdoors158 yeah maybe they are but better, smoother gearing and quality materials show you usually get what you pay for. You could go out with a Walmart ugly stik if that’s what you want however you did get what you pay for. I’m curious; do you think higher end reels are overrated as well?
@@nathanprovost2162 well I think it may just be preference.. I like the vanford better than the exsence but my dad likes the exsence better. To me it feels like the vanford acts faster when you reel it in

Outstanding boat! I also just got my FXR20! Absolutely love it! Allatoona is my home lake but I fish Chick a lot too. Hope to see you out there!!
I counted 23 smallmouth last weekend, all on one nose hooked fluke with the center spring. It works!!
I’m proud of you. You showed things that Matt did not in his 4 fluke videos.
I have only been Bass fishing for over a year. And you guys have helped so much, thank you you guys rock!
Perfect timing with flukes Tim, another great video for TB.
Kewl fluke set ups. Loved the idea and contents. Now gotta put in an order for the tackle. Thanks tim!
Great video, great information! Most underrated Chanel on youtube!
Congratulations on that new Skeeter FXR. I absolutely love my Skeeter ZXR.
As always awesome and informative. I can’t wait to try the double fluke rig. Thanks for helping make us all better anglers. 💪🏻🕶

Best boat and engine on the market. Only bass boat you can run wot and let go of the steering wheel. Been a skeeter/yamaha technician for many yrs.

I have won more local tournaments and caught more fish on the fluke than any other bait. Been fishing them since they first came out.🎣
Appreciate the Twistlok through face of the fluke tip. I would have just used the smallest locks and used it the traditional way Texas rigged.

Are you going to do a walk through on your new boat?
Any plans to do a underwater swimjig trailer video?
Thanks!
I just got my pb a 7 lb largemouth on a football jig...imma have to try a fluke
I know Catch Co can get a lot of flack but have you tried the Biospawn Vile Minnow? The colors, shape, and action are amazing. Highly recommend it
Congratulations buddy you need it
Wait! What was that plastic clip on your rod that held the line close to the bait when stowed away???
Bubblegum zoom flukes slay stripers and bluefish! What about a jighead? I rig on a 4/0 1/2oz tt headlock. Don't forget zman scented jerk shadz and streakz xl!

My favorite fluke is big bites jerk minnow 5” in ether alewife , watermelon gold flake , watermelon red ghost .
How do you keep the twists out of your line? I've used swivels, but that adds weight that sinks it and also grabs vegetation.
What type of line are you using? It could just be line twist from loading the reel improperly. If using classic mono, just soak the reel in warm-hot tap water for a few minutes to relearn the ‘memory’ of the line to the reel.

Kinda surprised you didn't go with a Charger to have the same Champion feel.
How long you use the leader ???
Excellent. Don't sleep on a Bass Assassin 3" Shad on a 2/0 EWG when they want tiny bait.
Did we forget the weighted fluke? Hopping it off the bottom.
Hey Tim what knot do you use to tie your leader line to braid?
I think they use a blood knot.
They use a blood-knot. (Or at least at one point in time they did)
Alberto all the way
