I'm astounded nobody has commented on how flippantly Ketheric orders the deaths of the goblins in this version of his introduction. Unlike the version where Minthara is dead and he makes more of a spectacle of the goblin's execution, here it's like he's just ordering the trash to be taken out or a pest to be swatted with a casual aside.
nah. he has quite literally the same dialogue in my playthrough where Minthara is dead. he slays the one who threw the halberd, and then tells Z'rell to dispose of them as she sees fit, before passing the burden to the player. I likewise spared them.
@@lelandrb I meant the difference between how he orders the goblins' deaths in this scene compared to the one where Minthara is dead. In the other one, he orders them to be killed to set an example. While in this version, he's just treating them like trash that needs to be taken out.
That goblin has a strong throwing arm to throw a halberd like that.

Bizarrely so. I can understand a hobgoblin or a bugbear, but a goblin? She's maybe as strong as a little girl of the same height. She couldn't even lift that axe let alone throw it that hard.

@@AzriusN There are limits to how that is works. A goblin can't roll for "pick up mountain range and throw it" and do it with a natural 20.

It’s a shame the only way to recruit her is by siding with the goblins, she is an INFINITELY more interesting character then Halsin

I believe you can recruit her by *ignoring* the grove quest line. Just rush to the Githyanki area (with the crèche), the grove will be sealed, and since you didn't killed her you should see this cutscene when arriving at Moonrise towers. The tiefflings are dead tho

What I love is that despite rolling a 21, there isnt any change. Like he is outside of the influence of the game
Yeah, even after succeeding the checks at the end of the first stage of the fight there is no change awesome boss
to be fair, the check is to "try" to influence him. even a nat 20 can't let you connect to something that doesn't exist
I've just reached this exact spot and well my playthrough is mad different but after watching this I realized I stumbled across these 3 dead goblins right there and I was like "this is random". Nope, this explains that, lol love this game.
I love the voice actress Emma Gregory, she sounds badass. Ive heard her in some Wh40k sound books aswell.

So, if you side with Minthara against the Druids ... it will eventually lead to this? And then you can even get her as a companion?
I never visited goblin camp, never saw here before, if you don't kill her in goblin camp she will fail to find the artifact and you will see the trial cutscene once you arrive to Moonrise Tower as far as i know.

@@laclarte3 you can save her, once the cutsene ends you go directly to the prision and rescue her, she will thank you and be you companior for ever 😏

So my playthrough I've killed her and saved Druid Grove but Harsin just leaves to take care of the Druid Grove :))

He waits for you upstairs, to kill or recruit the Nightsong, you have to kill Balthazar which makes the tower hostile.

@@kingfisher6552 Killing Balthazar doesn't make the Tower hostile. I explored Temple of Shar first and only then came to the Moon Towers. It is even stated in dialogue and notes that connection was lost to him as Balthazar had no eye of the Absolute around.
yeah it turns into an all out war the moment you get to the towers. I didn't even think to try the incognito approach
I found the temple first as well and killed Baltazar too.Would i still be able to save minthara.I knocked her out during the goblin camp mission
I fucking murdered the camp so i never got to see this.
Interesting fact, On choice 4 of trying to force your will on Ketheric even if you cheat your choice to be a critical success it will still act like you failed. :3 lol Something I'm interested in doing is some people say there is content in act 2 about being a shar worshipper which was taken out for story related reasons. But there is a mod to enable it and I'm curious to see if it allows you to be immune to the shadows and what dialog shows up if any. Also I hope they fix mintharas romance...

Indeed. His role is different than what he claims.
He doesn't need parasite, cause he is one of three Chosen. Absolute is their project.
the true souls are something like the Three Chosen's lieutenants. The Three Chosen themselves are not infected with parasites, as the whole "Absolute cult" is a conspiracy of their own making

Ketherics VA didnt even try, his lines are delivered with 0 enthusiasm, 0 inflection, straight garbage.
Well. . He's supposed to be tired of that trial since he has no patience to deal with that. Before triggering the scene you can hear him being pissed off as to know why he had been called. I would have 0 enthusiasm too if I had been called for things I consider wasting my time.
If you play as the Dark Urge, you get even more creative options to kill them with.
