Great choice, John! 👍I got to see Dr Feelgood in the mid 70's at Chatham Central Hall - Wilko was absolutely awesome as were the whole band. Then again my ears were ringing for a day after the gig - boy were they LOUD! Probably contributed to my tinnitus in later life🤔
Interesting list as always. A contender in my book; though his playing is more on the Soul of the Blues. But seriously, who could argue with his Blues chops on Green Onions, Mr Steve Cropper. Telecaster through and through.
Great mentioning Parfitt and Rossi. You once said you would do a Quo top 5. As a massive fan until IMO they went down hill from 1979 I'd love to see it!
Can't believe Muddy Waters is only an ' honourable mention', also Jimmy Page used a Tele during the recording of the first two Led Zep albums extensively. (Not to mention, THAT solo on 'Stairway..') Great Tuesday vid, as always.
My Tele and I have become almost inseparable since acquiring it in June. Don't know how I could have done without one since flogging my '73 model back in the 90s to fund a PRS (my worst day guitar trading day ever.) Still got the PRS but should have robbed a bank to get it rather than doing the PX deal.
John do you have a favourite guitar? For example if you were stranded on a desert island and could have only ONE instrument what would it be? Might be a good idea for a new video you could do... One guitar forever but... what one??? :-)
@JRobsonGuitar 🤣🤣 Well I'm sure some people would try to be clever and create a custom made instrument with a variety of pickups/materials etc. For me...well... I ALWAYS seem to come back to the strat... I just can't help it..
I just love your ‘unboxing music’ - classic 👍
Delighted that you did this one, John. Did not fail to delight, and educate. Thanks!
Question to Wilko Johnson ‘What pedals do you use?’. Wilko ‘I’m a guitarist not a bloody cyclist’.
The late great Wilko Johnson. Minted. May he Rest In Peace.

*I have a 73 Telecaster like Robbin Ford’s, all original, original case.* 👍

Had to check and make sure The Iceman was on here. Another great Tele player is Tab Benoit.
Joanne Shaw Taylor
Susan Tedeschi
Muddy Waters (bloody loud when I saw him live)
If Susan Tedeschi is not on this list, you need to start over and figure it out!
Keith Richards definitely a Tele player. 😁 And Jimmy Page used a Tele well before he predominantly used his Les Paul 😁

Mike Bloomfield, Joanne Shaw Taylor……..
Good list of Tele Blues players. I also like Kingfish Ingram, Sue Foley, and Susan Tedeschi, more recent Tele players.

Hon. mention for Danny Gatton. His Cruising Deuces album is epic.
John, respect your opinion as allways, but surely Danny Gatton deserves a mention. Maybe even Keith Richards.
I see Danny G as more of a country/rockabilly player with decent amounts of jazz thrown in.
Rock schoolwas Deirdre Cartwright,, Geof Nichols, Henry Thomas i think John👍👍
I've got a CD, somewhere, of Status Quo playing blues.
Hi John! You've mixed up a couple of names from Rockschool. The bass player was Henry "King Thumb" Thomas and the drummer was Geoff Nicholls.
Cheers mate 👍
Jeff Healy.. one of the best ever.
He played a strat didn't he?

I know he mainly played a squire But just had to put his name up. Sorry John I know it was telecaster, interesting Vid.

Les Paul. Or a Telecaster. No, definitely a Les Paul. I think. Erm...
@JRobsonGuitar 🤣🤣

Hello chap ❤😊
The correct Fender is a Telecaster. The corect Gibson is a Telecaster with humbuckers 😂
