My first console was SNES then N64 > GCN > and finally the Wii The Wii felt so different so alien. It felt magical. Not my absolute favorite Nintendo console by any means. But that FEELING was so unique. It was like moving to a new home. That crap was so awesome. I bring this up because you being aroused (lol) by the wii remote really hit home for me.
When that big direct showcasing the system comes out you need to do a 2+ hour long discussion with rogersbase talking about your thoughts just like with the switch 😂

I actually think this is a great idea with how they’re doing it. Keeping it simple, like how Sony does with the PlayStation consoles, PS1, PS2, PS3 and so on. Nintendo definitely has every right to keep the switch formula in tact. I just want to see what the launch lineup is going to look like

The switch successor shows potential. But for me, it’s going to have to take an amazing software lineup ala launch of the switch 1 to really considering upgrading. Or we can trade in our switch 1 to pay for a large chunk for switch 2
I think for a lot of people, the Switch 2 is gonna be something they wait on. Lots of hardcore fans will switch immediately. And many people will switch for the games. But other people will probably be fine to stick with the normal Switch until they think it's worth it.
I think what they done with the naming was good, and I'm just making a beefier console and bigger joycons. I am happy. Hopefully, they dealt with the joycon drift problem. One thing that's good the old games work on nvidia architecture, so if nintendo Smart, they have the switch1 games automatically upscale. Nevidia good at that on the pc
Josh you should be careful with cold and flue medication, most of them have acetaminophen (paracetamol), phenylephrine or pseudoefedrine, dextrometorphan, etc. Overdose can cause serious issues.
we don't know everything .. it's more powerful ... but Nintendo has always said they wouldn't just release a system that was only more powerful.... I think we are going to see some type of wii sensor ... I get the feeling it's the one from alarmo plus the joycons seem to be able to be a mouse.... I'd also love it if the dock allowed a different picture on screen .. kinda like wii u for party games ... the person with the switch 2 sees something different than the others in the room
I'm very excited for mouse mode and how it'll innovate console FPS. I'm ok with two control sticks but I got into FPS shooters (fam was a bit conservative when it came to fps) during the wii era so that's how I learned those games and that tech just isn't available to me. I'm excited for the software update. I hope that the teams that would have taken a lot of time innovating and thinking of how to make the next console exciting and new focussed more on software and making something that will make this next console memorable. The Switch has fallen from it's place of innovation and into a place of cheap plastic, underpowered system, and controllers that don't work. I want this sequel to be better. I want another system so that my wife and i don't have to use the same console all the time. Got off track, I do want the distinct menus back. Themes for the system, apps to run, and ways that make the system feel interactive. Then mario kart coming out this year isn't even registering in my head that it's happening. I'm not even sure when I'm going to grab the new system since money hasn't been the most fruitful thing for me as of late but I do have two switch systems to trade in along with some accessories. So maybe that'll be just enough to get over most of the price of the system and a game (maybe two!). Excited for the direct in about a month
I want Virtual Console AND...If we must...Nintendo Online Service. I think we should still be able to buy the games we want and not have to rent them. If this happens and the system is much beefier with better framerate and loading times, then I'm all in.
Wii U gamepad was a great idea, Wii U failed due to lack of good marketing, horrible name, and lack of strong Nintendo software year one. If games like Mario Maker, Splatoon and Breath of the Wild had been on Wii U day one or within the first 6 months of console release the whole Wii U story would had been different.
I care mostly about how games will perform on switch 2 but the bigger screen might be nice Hopefully not a color downgrade compared to the Oled… But I play mostly on TV

They've already been innovative with their software on Switch, if Switch 2 allows them to be even more creative with bigger, more expressive worlds, along with new ideas that push all of their franchises forward, that's all the "innovation" I need.
