This is the first time in a while where I’m not really hyped at all yet. I’ve already experienced playing some amazing experiences on my handheld PC’s. Yes, of course I’m always looking forward to what Nintendo will be coming out with(Mario, Zelda, Kart, etc.). I’m going to get it for sure. But the Switch hasn’t been my favorite console since its third year. I’m curious to see how this console is going to excite people like me who already game on Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or Legion Go. What are they going to do to entice us to purchase games on it, rather than PC
I'm super excited for the Switch 2! I really just wanted a more powerful Switch and it looks like that is what we're getting. My favorite franchise of all time is Fire Emblem, so I'm hoping for a new one as a launch title.

They really missed the boat not putting Mike Jones in Smash! The possibilities they could have had with that yo-yo! Beyond that, MP4 is what I am most excited about.
My mom got that came from the discard section of the library for me and my brother back when I was in kindergarten back in 91 or so. One of my favorite games of all time. The biggest regret I ever made was selling my entire Sega Saturn collection - and I had a lot, Virtua Cop with the Gun, Shining the Holy Ark, Guardian Heroes etc.. for an N64... the only game I could afford with the trade in was Wave Race 64. I was beyond crestfallen with the N64 library, but Wave Race carried me through that bad decision, would love to see a new one.
Switch will be my 1st Nintendo console. I'm looking forward to checking out the back catalogue of switch 1. Seems to me Nintendo are the last genuine game company that has a personality & makes games out of passion as well as to make money. I've had every Xbox & that platform has lost it's individuality, they're only interested in numbers & it reflects in the quality of their games. now they're multiplatform I can play their games on Steam with better features such as modding. the Xbox console is now surplus to requirements, it also looks like playstation is following in their footsteps. Sadly it will be Steam & Nintendo as the 2 big platform holders.
They milk the same franchises decade after decade. Sorry but have to hit this hyper-glaze with a little bit of reality. Nintendo havent been their industry defining self since 2017. Ever since then theyve been in playing it safe mode and the switch 2 just confirms that.
The Switch 2 announcement was to stop leaks and the April 2 is for sure the one that will show off the power and some games- that they even showed a game was because they had to. For sure they have some cool stuff in store
We need a proper hand held Switch, Even the Switch lite is too large ie too wide for many kids and many grown ups. And it is not that ergonomical for your wrists or your neck because u cant adjust the angle of the screen without changing the angle of your wrists. And if it was a clamp shell design u would not worry to just put it in your backpack without getting the screen scratched, even docking the device would be no issues, today u can scratch the switch putting it in the dock
I’m hoping for Zelda WW/TP HD double pack. I also hope we get to fill out the Metroid games with P2&3 HD and to round off Luigi’s Mansion with a remaster of the first one.
Of course Prime 4 is going to release in the first year... the perfect 1-2 punch out the gate at launch would be Mario Kart 9 & Metroid Prime 4: Beyond... can't beat that!
I feel Nintendo has finally arrived at an optimal design for a gaming experience as close to perfect as possible with the Switch design. If they moved on from that to something totally different just for the sake of changing it up I would be truly disappointed.
But they make great games. All those games need is optimal console power to shine brightest. Do we need to play zelda on the toilet enough to go without seeing what a truly next gen looking zelda could be like? Think Twilight princess but truly next gen.
Not getting my hopes to high but considering it's a huge possibility that Mario Kart 9 is going to be a launch title what if they keep the unpredictably going and also launch Mario RPG 2 as the main launch Mario game especially since the remake sold like hot cakes
I’m shocked I didn’t hear a peep about star fox or a switch sports 2 type game. I think those have a huge chance of coming to switch 2, especially with the whole mouse thing that could introduce brand new ways to play (air hockey anyone?)
Here is my prediction for Switch 2 games within the first year & I'll name which I think will be a launch title - 3D Mario - Mario Kart (launch) - Metroid Prime (launch) - A title similar to 1-2-Switch, Nintendo Land, Wii Play ect to showcase all the features (launch) - Something Capcom at launch (my bet is Resident Evil 4 Remake or a new Mega Man game) - A third party game similar to Sims 4, Planet Coaster, Civilization, WoW, LoL, RuneScape ect to really utilize the mouse function (launch) - A remaster/remake of a Zelda game - A Microsoft game (my bet is Sea of Thieves at launch) - Just Dance 2026 - A third party shooter either it be a Call of Duty of some sort, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Sniper Elite Resistance ect (launch) - A Way Out or Split Fiction - Something EA more then likely PGA Tour or FC (I'd rather Burnout 3: Takedown, Medal of Honor: Front Lines or Allied Assault) So 6 total launch games with 3 of the 7 being 1st party (Switch only had 10 launch titles with 3 out of the 10 being 1st party)
I think I might jump in on it because I've never really gotten around to playing a lot of my Switch games, so it might become my way of experiencing everything I missed in a better way, plus the price point is decent!
Amazing video! So nice to see we can still get hyped this way about a new console coming up, make predictions and all that. Nintendo just doesn't stop being exciting, no matter how old we get, so many possibilities to have fun predicting and look forward to...
Honestly, with the Switch as big as it is already, it’s already not something you can put in your pocket. At that point you might as well just make it bigger, because it’s something you have to put in a bag or a case anyway. This was always a problem I had with this generation, because there really isn’t all that much difference between the Switch Lite and the regular one. A bigger Switch 2 will let Nintendo have a much smaller version of Switch 2 in a couple years that reallyfeels more substantially different than the main version. It’s also a problem I have with the PS5 Slim. There’s just not enough of a difference like there has been with slim systems in the past.
My thoughts exactly. I already dont like playing handhekd for more than 30 mins. This couldve been their moment to go into true tv console territory and instead they played safe 😢
It's a good upgrade but with that gen power behind, there's no way it can be a good VR. Maybe another 3DS gimmick but not a full VR. But it's good enough if they can also upgrade the battery life! That's a W already. Like it or not, Nintendo played safe this time and we can't really blame them. But I'm sure IP exclusive like Zelda (and even Pokemon) can maximize the new features.
Releasing a multiplayer title (Mario Kart 9) and a singleplayer game (Earthbound remake?) would make sense Xenoblade 4 with Monolith Softs new engine would be the perfect showcase of how powerful the Switch 2 can be
I really look forward to the Switch 2. Love your suggestions for F-Zero, Wave Race and the Mother series! My own dream (besides those) is a new Star Fox game
I think people need to keep their predictions in check. If you don't dream too big, you won't be disappointed. It has been rumoured to have specs akin to the Series S, which has trouble running third-party titles, but I think it will do it better than Switch, which was rough unless it was first-party. I will wait to see the specs, price & a glimpse of the titles they will release with & what will come later in the year.
I am very excited for the Switch 2,the Switch has been an endless fun provider for the last 8 years for me and unfortunately it is also unable to function as a handheld anymore due to the battery no longer holding a charge so I have to keep it docked or plug into a wall if I want to bed game or something. So I am in much need of an upgrade and I can play my existing library of games too when it releases! One game I am hoping to see finally get announced as a launch game or at least a date is Deca Police,a game I been anticipating ever since it was announced by Level 5. I would also love a NEW Star Fox game
You can't expect Nintendo to do anything else than a switch 2 after building the most successful console ever during the last 8 years. Like yeah, this has been great. Let's throw it all out the window and start again with something that maybe fails worse than the wii U
I'm super excited, but based on finances and the fact that I still have so many games to buy for the switch, I'll probably wait until a must play game comes out. I had to wait until 2019 for my Switch, I assume a 2 year window is my estimate. Getting it for sure!
I am holding off getting one for quite a while after it comes out. I don’t know if me and my friends have been unlucky or not, but I do not find it do be a very durable console. From the fan problems to the joy cons. Diving into the Switch even today can be a very expensive option when you have to replace controllers and fix your system for problems. Then let’s think about how many people bought more than one Switch because of the durability and people not wanting the trouble of figuring out how to replace the battery when it degrades. Sure, the Switch has a chance the beat ps2 sales. But how long did it take? A lot about the Switch 1 doesn’t impress me, but some of it does. I will wait a couple years at least after the 2 comes out to see how those new joy cons hold up and how many systems need repaired.
I'm excited and should be more so with the details coming in April. That better not be leaked. I don't understand how Nintendo partners were allowed to leak so much info, unless that was planned, which makes no sense. Thanks for the video guys!
Sundays aren’t sundays without a Happy Console Gamer video!

How about a nice bonus RPG story added to the new version of Mario Kart?
So cool to see Russell on the show. He was super nice when I visited you guys. I hope to see some AMAZING RPGs on the Switch 2 ⚔️🤍
I bet they use the mouse thing for pikmin since theres not second screen like wiiu had. Plus to port more pc games.
Almost like a DS ;)
This. Hybrid isnt it. Either make a more powerful DS or make a new Gamecube. Holding a switch for longer than 30 mins hurts your hands
I’m hoping for Zelda WW/TP HD double pack. I also hope we get to fill out the Metroid games with P2&3 HD and to round off Luigi’s Mansion with a remaster of the first one.
Zelda is too valuable, they'll sell one remake at a time at full price
Of course Prime 4 is going to release in the first year... the perfect 1-2 punch out the gate at launch would be Mario Kart 9 & Metroid Prime 4: Beyond... can't beat that!
What about a snipperclips type of game but with mouses moving around in 2D space as a puzzle plattformer?
I feel Nintendo has finally arrived at an optimal design for a gaming experience as close to perfect as possible with the Switch design. If they moved on from that to something totally different just for the sake of changing it up I would be truly disappointed.
But they make great games. All those games need is optimal console power to shine brightest. Do we need to play zelda on the toilet enough to go without seeing what a truly next gen looking zelda could be like? Think Twilight princess but truly next gen.
A beefed up weather system and crazy players with Wave Race would rock on a powerful system. Blue Storm is one of the most vibey racing games EVER
Here is my prediction for Switch 2 games within the first year & I'll name which I think will be a launch title
- 3D Mario
- Mario Kart (launch)
- Metroid Prime (launch)
- A title similar to 1-2-Switch, Nintendo Land, Wii Play ect to showcase all the features (launch)
- Something Capcom at launch (my bet is Resident Evil 4 Remake or a new Mega Man game)
- A third party game similar to Sims 4, Planet Coaster, Civilization, WoW, LoL, RuneScape ect to really utilize the mouse function (launch)
- A remaster/remake of a Zelda game
- A Microsoft game (my bet is Sea of Thieves at launch)
- Just Dance 2026
- A third party shooter either it be a Call of Duty of some sort, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Sniper Elite Resistance ect (launch)
- A Way Out or Split Fiction
- Something EA more then likely PGA Tour or FC (I'd rather Burnout 3: Takedown, Medal of Honor: Front Lines or Allied Assault)
So 6 total launch games with 3 of the 7 being 1st party (Switch only had 10 launch titles with 3 out of the 10 being 1st party)
Keep surprising us with your ideas. Your videos are a real source of inspiration.🌴🏉🐯
I think I might jump in on it because I've never really gotten around to playing a lot of my Switch games, so it might become my way of experiencing everything I missed in a better way, plus the price point is decent!
Amazing video! So nice to see we can still get hyped this way about a new console coming up, make predictions and all that. Nintendo just doesn't stop being exciting, no matter how old we get, so many possibilities to have fun predicting and look forward to...
im hoping for a new xenoblade game
Imagine Metroid prime 4 is a release title that is the first Nintendo fps with mouse controls. Does nothing for me but they gotta Nintendo
Releasing a multiplayer title (Mario Kart 9) and a singleplayer game (Earthbound remake?) would make sense Xenoblade 4 with Monolith Softs new engine would be the perfect showcase of how powerful the Switch 2 can be
It needs to be 4k or not buying it!
Hope they show the next Fire Emblem game. Engage was fine, but weak story/characters compared to others in the series.
I really think we’re going to get a DK platformer, it’s been SO LONG since Tropical Freeze 🍌
I'm excited and should be more so with the details coming in April. That better not be leaked. I don't understand how Nintendo partners were allowed to leak so much info, unless that was planned, which makes no sense. Thanks for the video guys!
