Yooo that’s my boy Alvarado
I went to basic with him it’s Allison
Combat Engineer
I went in the army at 17 out of the woods of Montana after graduating from highschool from 1985 be an 19D till 2008. At the time it was hands down one of the most undesirable and virtually unknown MOS's in the Army. The Army was "seriously" considering fazing the job completely out actually. 11Bush got all the love and glory and people didn't even know we existed for the most part. Its true. Other troops were like- "you do what? Is that like some Vietnam LRRP's and shit? Never heard of ya, later dude?" 🙄 The AIT was one of the longest, your duty assignments sucked, you were always sliced out to other units so you rarely got home to you regimental garrison, you were always stationed with rapid deployment outfits, on levy all the time to go over sea's. Were either deployed, training, getting some badge and shit. You had like ZERO time off liberty for the ladies so when you had the time off it was an in and out of there kinda deal so you had to close the deal quick like. If not you had to use a pro if your weekend was about up because getting laid and blowing off steam was really important as you can imagine. Bought a lot of tail in my day like any soldier always on the go. All of that is fine in your 20's but as you got older long in the tooth you get lonely and want something more then that but that is what you signed up for. Promotion wasn't that easy because there was so few of us, slots were slim and even if your promotion points were in the stratosphere it didn't matter. It was pretty depressing at times knowing your life expectancy in combat was under 20 mikes. Lastly, I don't know how boots on the ground eyes and the ears of the army delta's are today me getting out in 2008 but in my day you pretty much possessed all the skills, training and shit ops as any spec ops 11Bravo operator (if not more so) but none of the respect or recognition for it. Then again after nearly 30 years in recon I wouldn't change a thing.

Heard they moved scout school out of knox. I remember when i first earned my sabers. I thought I was ready till I got to my first unit and they gave me the rest of my scout books. guess things have changed a little, maybe not.
Crow Killer, US Cavalry.
I'm going through OSUT for 19D rn as a trainee and can confirm, Cardio is important
Chris Koonce facts!
@Briayan Rivera E 5-15 God damn dicked up Delta😂
2-15 CAV over here
A troop 5-15 Cav
@@SteadFastLifestyleI’m in the same rn, just got to white phase but got Christmas off
Scout medic first mos, back when we were 91B now they are 68W. Reclassed to 19D. They still called me Doc! Loved both jobs but 19D was more fun for me!
My 1st choice was 19D, by the time i got to meps all the seats were taken, so i had to take my second choice, infantry.
It was the exact opposite for me, got to meps passed the tests with a 94 GT score and i wanted infantry, no slots available so they told me Calvary does the same shit and theirs a $5000 bonus that went along with it ( i imagine ima only get $4,5-3,500 of that money lol) but cav scouts sounds dope tbh i ship out in one to two weeks
@@lionstribe3261how did it go
Him coughing coming from Germany me realizing this is when Covid started
11D/19D/96B...3rd Cavalry cool
sounds more like he need to clean his piss before he gets back to Germany lmao
Thanks Ben, for all the tips and help on this channel. Leaving November 2 as 19D
Thanks for your service…. I was a 19D10 ITV crew certified back in 1989-1993 Fort Knox Kentucky basic training C6/16 Disney barracks. 1st duty station HHC 5/20th mech infantry 2ID Korea, 1990 fort hood Texas 1st Cav division 32ar desert shield / desert storm veteran.
Beautiful to hear you, it’s a pleasure and very interesting your comments ..enjoy it God Bless you
If you going to OSUT this is what you going to experience. Yelling, smoke session, 2 minutes shower, seeing 50+ guys naked, dealing with everyone attitude, seeing people want to kill themselves because they got recycle. Running in a pit of pebbles, running in hills, 0500 wake up every day. Getting smoke because people fuck up, sleeping on the floor in the middle of the wood, heat rash, spent the whole day walking in the wood. If you go to church in Saturday it’s not for you.
What's up with the church on Saturday?
Why so many getting recycled??
Lol you can totally tell it’s your brother in this one because your mannerisms change so much from your typical videos, you have that big brother look on your face when he’s talking 😂 awesome stuff man thanks for all the info!
Thank you!
Best advice for incoming troops, be physically fit. Period. You’re in class all day with minimum physical activity. Half my AIT class flunked the PT test.
Alverado! We went through OSUT together 💪🏾 lol he always had a huge Smile on his face 😂
Ricky Hagins his smile is priceless
Cav scout here💯 Stationed at Fort Lewis 👌 Also a driver for a Stryker
Derek Rodriguez nice bro!
My fiancé is in fort Lewis, you guys barley deploy 😭😭
EXO-L! ARMY! Very very true
@@exo-larmy4569 more like NO deployment at all.
perfect timing since I'm leaving Feb 3rd as a calv scout/ airborne
G Becerril good luck!
@G Becerril I'm leaving Feb 3 as a cav too
How was it? I leave September 13 for the same thing calv and airborne?
its 3 jobs, driver, gunner and dismount!!
Want to pass along something for my 19Ds. Regardless what the rear security (11 Series says), the 18 Series loves 19Ds in that community. If you think you can make it. Try it! We Can, We Will!
Finished a 22 week cycle, it was lit. Better chance for you to pass a PT test with more time. No water course tho.
I was 19D.. ETS'd out in 87...... Was Air Cav not Mech but glad I came across you guys.... Be safe out there.... Hoorahhhhh
Great video! Very informative! Love the brotherly 💘. Keep up the great work guys! Joe, take some meds! Lol.
Thank you!
can you interview a 91B wheeled vehicle mechanic
This is what I have been waiting for.. Enlisting now as a 19D and was looking for all the info possible.
David we got you bud!
@@jimservu alright will def hit ya up and get as much info as possible
@@jimservu why is that? lol
David good luck to you!
So you’re artillery?
In another life I remember working a creep in a 3 man dismount team with rucks that were so heavy the two other guys in my team had to help me stand up, then doing the same for my team mates. Water, food. comms. nods, ammo, thermals. and don't forget the spare batteries. lord help you if you had to bring out a ground mount tow. Good times.
Enlisted this past week as a 19d cav scout going airborne. I ship June 22nd
I ship june 22nd too🔥 good luck
Ship out June 28
Are cav scouts scouting right before we enter a fire fight? Or to enter a city with or without combattents? What exactly do they scout, I’m just needing some answers..
CAVSCOUT 's are the cooler version of the Marines. 😎
Did he ever recover from Covid-19?
Can’t wait I leave March 17 for 19D
Good luck 19D ft benning my son is in white phase. Thank u all for your service. He wants special forces
@Crowned Crusader I actually just got a 3 year 19D contract today
@Crowned Crusader if you're that worried about it then don't do this job or don't join the military.
How’d it go?
Great video man, can you do a know your mos about drone operators next please because when I look it up, it shows the one for the Air Force, but not the army
Didn’t know you could join if you’re sick
Nice video man,Packing rn to leave to the hotel later on
Isaac Stone best of luck bro!
💪🏾💪🏾
Going 19d w/airborne cant wait man
Will Wood that’s awesome bro!
Will Wood gotta pass basic first. If you don’t pass first time for everything you loose your airborne slot. Happened to a couple of guys I knew.
@@jimservu yea my recruiter told me about that. I'm just saying it's in my contract.
Will Wood pray and hope you don’t go to evil troop
Don’t be too excited bro... it’s not all what it’s cut out to be.... trust speaking from experience
Signed my contract and out to basic in 2 days. I'm ready for hell and pursuing forward in my career pushing for airborne school and ranger school
about to make the journey aswell how did it go if youre still on here lmao
19D here leave for bct MONDAY
Antonio Shore gross
Damn so you rather be “kind of like infantry” instead of being the real thing smh
Did you make it
@@terrancemabey4331 Such an ignorant comment, they do just about the exact training I know 11cs, 11bs and 19ds, and the training is so similar from their first hand accord there is no reason to have disdain for any of them, they are all combat MOS. Such ignorance. A lot of 19ds re-classify as 11b or 11c also... so again, ignorance is bliss.
Can you interview a 11b Infantryman with a different person!
i swore in the other day. leave for the 17th of nov. 19d
Good luck bro!
How’s it going? Pretty sure I’m going 19d but there’s not a ton of information
That intro is sweet man, when he kicked him that was some nice shit!
Thanks!
So basically the scouts go out and see if its possible and safe for the rest of the battalion to move forward the scapegoats lol
For being a 19D or Calvary Scout after you finish the training, do you get to choose to be either a scout, gunner, or driver? Or no, how does it work?
from what ive seen. new guy is driver, highest ranking junior enlisted is gunner.
Damn I wish you would’ve asked what they do when not deployed or in the field like just regular day to day, wanted to know how often they ruck and stuff related to that.
Bro you'll learn once you get there, Us old school Cav Troopers are carnivorous mother fuckers. When you're not tracking a target, you're doing heavy PT, Making sure you're equipment is operational, cleaned and stored properly. Then you're making sure the barracks and uniforms look better than any other units... Basically when you're not fighting, you're setting the standards and flexing your Spurs and Stetson.
Motorpool, pt, and warrior tasks
19D with airborne option ship out November 16th
what did you score on your ASVAB. i’m really hoping on getting at least a 91 so i can choose 19D but i took a practice test and got a 32 so i’m not too confident smh
I scored a 58. My first practice test I scored a 28. I set aside one hour minimum a day to strictly study for about 3 weeks then I took another practice test scored a 56 then I got my 58.
Me too. See you there
@@6bmw bro dont stress the asvab. i scored low and still got 19d
@@wyattjones7699 me too dude. hell yeah
Is there an mos for machine gunner? I mean for the army, not the marines
Ship out to BT in 2 weeks, going 19D, really hoping to be in a Striker unit just because I'd rather ruck through the woods or desert for 10-14 hours than sit in a Bradley or truck for that time
So I have a family. How often are you home vs field training? Like I heard for infantry they are always out in the field and home for maybe a week. Is 19D like that?
I heard 19D are always out too
How many mos can you again I forgot great content very informative
Do you pick too be a driver or a dismount because I’m going to enlist as a cav scout and I’d hate to be a driver lol
Not really
My ship date is June 28th I'm excited and nervous
Ay June 28th as well
June 22nd is mine lol
same ship out June 28th !
Any OSUT advice for a prior service Marine?
Wym “and there gonna get hurt” do a lot of 19D’s get injured in combat?
I am wanting to enlist in the army as a cav scout, but I don’t know what the expirience as of combat will be like?
@@reilly3326 just like any other combat MOS you have that responsibility to deploy if need be. but the Scouts go out first to see if the enemy has tanks or armed insurgents or whatever and then report it back to the commander. typically from what i know the scouts do mounted recon, but there will be times when you do on foot stuff. shipping Jan 4th so, best of luck to you if you decide this is what you want for yourself.
@B W some people like it some will dislike it, hopefully i didn’t make a bad choice lmao
Some people say the 19D guys get sent out as first hand targets for the enemies so they can see the enemy location, that is what I have heard anyways. Im still going 19D, MEPS this coming Monday. Can't wait to get all the BS out of the way and get to OSUT and start this journey.
That’s crazy I’m a cav scout in Vilseck too
My first choice was 19D and I graduated from basic and I am now the first females ever to be in my troop
My son is going for Basic training Calvary Scout 19d at ft benning. Do u know where I can look up for video or pic in Facebook?
I leave for Fort Benning Jan 28th for 19D !!

Good luck man, i leave on June 29th for 19D
Kawan Lopes do you have instagram or snapchat?
Get that man some albuterol jesus. Also, I know it depends but I’m actually having a hard time finding to how long 19d deployments are. Can you offer any examples?

@@daylanbrianlowe7707 same here in El Paso rn, My last name is Ruiz hopefully meet you guys!
How often is your brother in the field at a time ?
Would you possibly know how hard it would be (and if i would have any control over) to get attached (or go to) a Cav scout unit if I go as a 68W?
I am currently in my third year of high school and currently doing research to find what I want to do when I join. I am bent between 19D and 68W, 19D because it doesn't seem like an office job and 68W because it would set me up for when I retire. This is the first video I have seen of yours, yet from what I have seen you seem to have some knowledge on both MOS's so I figured I'd ask.
I apologize if I shagged anything. As I said I am on my third year of high school so I have little knowledge on the subject.
What is the pros and cons about 19 delta?
I’m leaving July 27 for 19D Cav Scout can you tell me what exercise should I do to prepare myself?
A little bit of everything
i’ll see you there 🤙🏾
I leave July 28th, I’ll see you there
Cardio, cardio and cardio...
Wojtek Bear shiet. i’m thinking of leaving in April so i got some time. i’m terrible at running right now but i’m gonna try and run every day
90 pound rucks? Hehe I'm gonna love this MOS. I've jumped 100 pound rucks as an FO in the 82nd weight limit is 45 for jumps. FOs and Docs are allowed to break it
It's not fun. Its not fun at all. Thanks for video though. Currently a Spc in 3-319/1-504 82nd
Where can I get stationed to do actually scout shit instead of being in a Stryker brigade like jblm
Honestly I couldn’t tell ya man.
Heavy Cav Nice. If You Ain't Cav
11 bang bang all the way will lead it
I got 3 weeks til I graduate our osut n they changed the cycle from 22 to 18 weeks from wat I heard

Anyone other than infantry is considered a POG

I would also like to add, If you ain't Cav.........
Any tips for 19d I’m not sure what they do my recruiter mos is also 19d all he told me was there like a secret agent and that they need woman cavalry scouts too
They are not like secret agents lol
lol that’s what I was told haha
Foreign Doll 19 deltas do all types of jobs, they can engage the enemy in the field, track and report their activities and weapons systems back to the commander. They mostly do reconnaissance basically. I not sure what you recruiter been telling you about the “secret agents” lol but some scouts need a security clearance depending on mission. Also they do need woman scouts. Not a lot of of women are 19 deltas. Back in 2017 4 women were the first to graduate cavalry scout training so that speaks for itself.
I decided to choose 12b
I leave for basic end of April
Hey Ben I’m in Germany with the second cav I’m 11B tho what squadron is he in?
Bro when I was there as a 11b I was in 2/2 fox
YoungFoolsLearn i gotta ask him

Do we need our drivers license before we go to OSUT?
Not really it’ll be more convenient to have but if not it’s cool!
Ben Allen
Thank you man I really appreciate what you do. Hooah!
Absolutely , don't be the guys with no drivers license since scouts drive everything
Do yall do any assaults ?
