Very nice sea lion banner, L'Anguille. Roar.
The rugged cliffside coast of the duchy sounds both treacherous to navigate as a pedestrian and appealing for sightseer touring and storm-watching.
Although why the rulers of L'Anguille would want to create a swamp in the hopes of emulating Marienburg, is beyond me. That seems a sure way to attract skaven and zombies. They should be satisfied with their distinctly regional killer sea horsies that they have to contend with. Maybe the deadliest leaping fish in the world?
Tho tactically-tended strips of woodland intended as protective village borders are indeed narrow! Some neat arborist work.
The Lighthouse of L'Anguille looks like a huge smokestack on the duchy map.
It sounds like the divide between the duke's priorities and the rest of the ruling class' priorities, centered in the coastal capital of course, are key to this duchy's literal success and economic thriving. Admittedly, in general I can empathize with and relate to this duke's outright repulsion by cities overall; keeping to a castle when not on the beast hunt. The heraldry of the various noble houses, Brethren and not, share that aquatic serpentine similarity that's stylish and uniquely maritime-like in their own right. Praise the duke!
A history connecting back to the War of the Beard provokes particular interest in checking out the capital city of this duchy, at least. Being a coastal port is also a major attraction. Though, as ever, the local and overall Bretonnian politicking and peasant-noble divergence stubbornly present consistent deterrents to trying to tour this country. Also, Rodrik was both “much-loved” and “obnoxious”...then, a cold-blooded killer exile in the lizardmen's jungle? It was all informative, entertaining and interesting allthesame, as with the remainder of this series. So, thank you very much for it, GDN. I bid you well and an awesome week. The blessings of the Lady of the Lake be upon you, too.

your story about the dukes son reminds me of a small scale battle report in white dwarf over 10 years ago.

    Found this video very interesting.
I have recently asked my followers which of the Bretonnian Dukedoms (out of 5 I felt would fit where I want to go lore wise with my army) to paint my Bretonnia box as, and they voted for L'Anguille. I now find myself testing out a colour scheme on a unit of Men-At-Arms, I've seen some Total War screen shots showing white as a dominant colour, but with the new lore it seems blue is more dominant with a yellow spot colour.

I got to say the Warhammer fantasy City ports rival the gray Havens of Lord of the rings I just love City port's with great lore and in my role play with my friends in L'anguille one of my friends almost got his butt handed those Feraland's Brood creatures but
We save him after that we threw him in the water just for laugh's oh boy Good times
