I never been a fanboy of fender or gibson but from the moment i bought the strato player plus, that guitar makes me very happy and proud. More more and more of many American std or deluxe that i used to play in the past. I think i will buy also the telecaster player plus.
I love my Les Paul-but needed some twang. Tried a bunch of teles-disliked them all (even the premium American ones)-except this one. The neck is perfect, sounds great and I grabbed the Silver Smoke. My search is over.
I've had the player plus for almost a full year and I absolutely love how it plus but these new noiseless pickups are pure garbage and I absolutely distain them. They will be getting switched for a dimarzio twang king set and possibly a chopper t in the bridge.
There's some truth to where you're coming from for sure. It seems like it's the new pickup voicing and 12" radius that are what differentiates these from either the Performer or a used MIA.
agreed. I like the look of these a lot but the Performer tele's pickups sound leagues better imo and it is still american made, which Im sure helps in retaining value
Very different instrument: the performer has a vintage bridge, no belly cut, no,locking tuners and noisy single coil pickups. The player plus has first class electronics and woods and will hold its value just fine. You do realize that Ensenada Mexico is just across the other side of the border, 170 miles away from Corona California? Mexicans build these guitars in both factories. This is basically an ultra tele for less than half the price.
Not worth the money I own a player a player plus and a p bass. My 549.00 Epiphone es 339 Pro outshines both Teles. I bought a new Gretch G2220 for 300.00 that puts the p bass to shame with flats on it. FACTS.

Right on! They're really great guitars :)

This dude could probably get a good sound out of a Squire clone.
Great playing! I forgot I was watching a review!
Thanks Jayson! We appreciate that! :)
Some nice tones there!
Thanks Darvin! Appreciate that. :)
Whats the riff at 1.29 ? Something u made up ?

I'd like to know what kinf of effect/amp you used to get these great tones.
You can play nothing but clean and get those tones.
Did Fender change the pickups and put locking tuners only?
Played one yesterday. Rounded fret edges. Noiseless pickups. 22 fret. Essentially an American built in Mexico. Super nice
@@jaysonmiller4866 Exactly true!
12in. fretboard radius too instead of 9.5in.
@@robjgolde3221 Yup!
Also wider nut.

👍🔥🎸🦅
Sublime playing but 1000 for a guitar made in Mx? Yikes buy a performer or a used mia

This kills both. Tried them all. I walked out with the Player Plus.
This dude should be a Nashville session player, dump the RUclips shit,

But why are you comparing humbuckers to single coils?
@@Neoma1999 Not comparing coils or tone, it is the build quality and pricing that I am comparing.
Great new guitar, the fender player plus series, but i don't like this guitar stogee.
We love this guitar!
