Folks, here is the truth. I used to be the biggest Fender Custom Shop dealer in the country. Every year they would come up with stupid ideas they ran by me, one was this "Nashville Tele". They stated that every year good bad or ugly they would have to just come up with any stupid idea, this being one of them. Do you really want to play good guitar? Don't listen to these hack "B" players and learn how to develop your ear first and foremost. Next learn the magic of time and space and forget about all this conflict of interest babbling going on here. Very nice man and hard working, John truly is. A Montana Man, YES! So these are great guitars, but I personally would get a used early-to-mid 2010’s American Standard Tele instead of one of these new Player ones. Those American Standards came with Fender Custom Shop pickups, a tummy cut, six saddle bridge, and everything that these Player Plus Teles have. The only thing the Player has the American Standard doesn’t have is locking tuners, but you can always add those. But for not much more $, you can get a Tele that was made in USA, has better pickups, has better fretwork, has a hard case, and will have been nice and broken in by now. To me it’s a no-brainer, but I understand that’s just my opinion. If these Player Plus’ tickle your fancy, then go for it! I just thought I would let people know that if they want a great American made Tele, you can get one for almost the same price as one of these Players!

I still don't get why Fender doesn't wire Nashvilles with a 5-way super switch so you get neck/bridge in the middle position. Keep it simple and easy to understand for the traditional players. I have a mod that gives the middle position 3 options via a TT switch; 1, middle, 2 neck/bridge, 3 all three. It is the best solution I tried (patting myself on the back), position 1,2,4,5 are untouched by the TT switch. All 3 is really useful ;-) I also think the Brent Mason wiring is kinda cool FWIW

Great playing..chapeau. I'd like u know your opinion about the choice of noiseless pups they don't convinced me anyway is a gorgeus tone, about the pull/push 7 combination I'd have preferred the same of Nashville b Bender model with classic tele N/B in central position without distorting the guitar functionality👍🏻

Thanks for the video review. Just one question does the switching allow for running the neck and bridge pickups in series? That’s how I have my Tele set up with a 4 way switch.
