Other than loving Woodkid this song touches my heart man cause it is a representation of both the best and worst parts of humanity and why having a nuanced existance meaning the existance of good and bad being two spectrums is idiotic when we live in a world of gray where the ends justify the means. im sure that soldier had a reason to be out there for king and country and all that but its war the literal worst thing that people can be apart of and he died because of it and for it. this song other than being a representation of how war is bad is also a representation on how sometimes to make or do great things sometimes a evil needs to exist, for example this song would of never existed without war existing it is truly fascinating and props to woodkid for making it and to all great musicians who spark these kinds of thoughts like Marilyn Manson, Elvis the Beatles etc etc. I LOVE THIS KINDA SHIT.

The American and german soldier in the battle field were killing each other, each one of them felt that he was right, but the reality is both of them are neither right or wrong. That's pure logic, more powerful than any morality or ethics. But because humans are highly intellectual and emotional beings, they had to protect their morality ignoring pure logic to give life a sweet flavor.
