@myself5661 because when the rev sings "another chance to live" live is suppose to be screamed for a good amount of time and either jimmy cant sustain it long enough or its easier just for shadows to do it so jimmy doesn't mess up playing
The Rev sounded quite good there! I'm confused to why you didn't keep the camera on him, though. You had such a good view of him, he deserved more time than that =(
he's muting the strings with his right hand. Steve vai does this quite often as well. When i saw them play afterlife he didn't use this muting technique but it looks badass
A trigger is a peizo sensor that sends midi information to a drum module, to produce a sound every time the drum is hit. What you are describing is a double kick pedal. In this video the rev is not using either.

@ChiTownBears4life I thought that the third was for different positioning on the drums. If the song concentrates on the right side of the kit, he uses the center bass and the one on the right side. and vise versa.

He isnt tapping, it's to remove like distorted sounds, making the tapping sound more cleaner.
