yeah, of all of gates' solos, Though tricky, afterlife is the one i personally can play best (not perfect though).... I personally think 'The wicked end' has the hardest solo. ive never managed the get the sweeps down at the end of the solo.

This is possibly the best live performance of A7x, the primetime of Avenged Sevenfold... Zacky was a great singer and guitar player (he sings like crap now, just look up a Nightmare performance in Brazil or something) , Syn was better than ever (his lead work on the new album isn't even lead but, the solos are cool), Johnny was still cool (now he looks like he has no energy and boring), Matt had short hair and an awesome voice (long hair doesn't fit him) and The Rev (RIP) was still alive... Every time I see this or hear some of their older albums like Waking The Fallen, City Of Evil or even the self-titled it gets me sad to see how the bands' musical quality has decreased a lot. I can stand Nightmare but, their new album sucks and a lot of their live performances suck too. Mike Portnoy did an awesome job in the band and so does Arin but, it's not the same. Good times... We miss the old A7x and The Rev :(

I agree with the majority of your statement. But you must also realize, that Avenged Sevenfold is a very unique music group.. You had stated that you went back to the older albums. Their music as evolved and changed sometimes subtly, and sometimes greatly from album to album. Of course people have their own opinions, but opinion or not, their music has evolved with each album. That's fact. So what, Hail to the King may not be your favorite, It isn't mine either, and I too like the older albums more. But I do see what you're trying to say.

actually if u r trained in singing u will know that his way of singing (especially in this live) will damage his vocal sooner or later lol. Actually for any metal singers, they cant sing high notes in the long run....
+Matias Fabiann Zacky is a good singer too and Syn is amazing but, their voices mixed with The Rev's voice or Matt's voice sounded magical but their voices have decayed a lot since the recording of this and it's bad that The Rev isn't alive now.
