I actually think Cable in the Xmen 97 series has been presented better than both the original series and the comics where he was more of a future X Soldier, in Xmen 97 I feel he has much more of a persona
Except the voice. Everything else is perfect

I remember the hours I spent playing Marvel vs Capcom 2 in my PS2 when I was 10 Years old. And I always use 3 characters Spider-Man, Cyclops and Cable. And just for that reason this figure is a must have for me...

Yeah, seeing cable in this outfit, reminds me of how much I miss playing the Marvel vs Capcom games! That is my overall favorite cable outfit
4:51 good on Hasbro for letting these heads be compatible with the older models

Can't wait for this cable which is my favourite version will go with my X-factor teams or X-men teams. but hope Hasbro also release Havok (X-factor look or Classic Modern Starjammer look on the vulcan body to match the summer family)
Now is the time to be into Marvel Vs Capcom. Give him the guns from the Mezco one.
This is a solid figure. And will fit in as X-Men Cable or Capcom Cable. Good for people who missed the others.
I know the blues and yellows don’t match with other X-Men, however it is still accurate with the colors he had in MVC.

I am very stoked for this figure. I see potential for customization to bring it more to a gritty look, or at least less bright.
Never played Marvel vs Capcom, so no attachment there. I did read the comics and will make a version that will be subdued but still eye-catching.
Favorite cable outfit? Definitely this one %100 mvc2
Great review mate! I love the fact that the other cable heads are swappable with this figure! I’ve been hoping Hasbro finally releases this version as I’ve always enjoyed the fact that he looks unified with the X-Men.

I wished he wasn't already overpriced on Amazon but I will try to get him at GameStop because I really do like Cable as a character because he has cool time travel powers like his other badass time traveler Bishop, Overall, Great review on him Dan.
Got to put this with the Capullo costume X-Force, which we have Siryn, Sunspot and Rictor… but nobody else in those correct costumes!
This has become my favorite Cable figure. Might go as far to say he may be one of my favorite ML figures of this year so farZ

If you look at mvc2 , cable and cyclops are colored very different and spot on to the two figures on the right 10:55
While I do appreciate trying something different… the tab solution with the harness wrap around, just doesn’t work. IMO. I can tell even from the front, but from the side it looks terrible.
What deadpool is that? It has a brown should harness with brlqn belt?
Was definitely hoping to see that head swap with the more classic looking Cable and if it’d work cause I’m probably putting this head on that body!

I think the blues match perfectly with the 97 wolverine figure. Hopefully the trigger finger hands don’t look too ridiculous on Wolverine as it’s perfect for him to be posed to smoke a cigar.
Good idea from Hasbro to tie this with Jada toys, but that pin arm is a nonsense, even more in 2024.
So I was watching the artwork (and pixel art) of the game and the boot goes all the way up to the knee, so why put that blue space below the kneepad? Also again for some reason they got rid of the blue sides around the briefs, why show promo images if they are going to change it Nice review as always tho!

Decent update, but I’m not holding my breath on ever seeing him, since he’s in another “online exclusive wave”! 🤬🤬🤬🖕
Maybe we’ll see him at retail again, but without those strap grooves/funnels? I remember the 5” ToyBiz version had a “pivoting shoulder gun” action feature, which left his shoulder slightly lopsided so they could put a ratchet in there you could plug a gun onto, but you’d also have a slice taken out of said shoulder, no matter the position of the gun. 🤦♂️
And I totally forgot about that Do imo. Speaking of online exclusives I’ll never see…. 🙄
And for a younger looking cable, just put the Nate Gray (X-Man ) head on there
Straps arent supposed to go inside the body 😬. Ill wait for an improved one down the line and sticking with x-force for now.

7:30 I think molding the top part yellow and painting on the blue, or leaving it all yellow, would've been better. Could've also made new lower legs with the kneepads sculpted to them, similar to some Thor figures. 9:06 The handgun that came with '97 Bishop looks closer to the one he had in MvC2. 12:35 Still waiting for a review to put this head on Stryfe.

It's because they didn't want to upgrade the Hercules arms, but they did on the left... So I don't get their excuse 🤦🏼♂️
this is a problem with every x men figure. none of the blues or yellows match. at this point i'm over it
