- Celebrating International Orangutan Day with this orangutan family group representing three generations as they play and care for each other at ZooTampa in Tampa, Florida. Favorite moments captured of mothers caring for babies, babies roughhousing with older siblings, siblings having a rowdy time together swinging from ropes, and dad doting on one of the moms - never a dull moment! Orangutans and humans share 97% of their DNA...maybe this explains our affinity for one another.
A truly beautiful and amazing animal, in mind and body. We must protect them at all costs.
Absolutely!
Yes we should and the only way is to donate to the wild life ,I donate monthly to endangered animals,it doesn’t cost a lot and if people really want to help this is the way to go,they give you pictures of animals that have been saved, and tell you all about them it’s a really good cause.
If only everyone thought like that. Like us.
😢
@@angelapietras1235and please be palm oil responsible. There’s really no reason to consume the shite at all.
@@JonasWhite I agree they can make medicine without using palm oil good point.
Pain and simple, orangutans are people. They're not as far down their path as we are down ours, but they're people. They love their kids, they have squabbles, they laugh, they care, they form friendships.... thank you for this gorgeous video!
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts about orangutans. I agree wholeheartedly! So glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰
The #bond!🤯 The literally maintainin physical contact with each other most of the time! So precious❤❤❤❤
I love it! So beautiful to watch them interacting!
It is wonderful to see them so happy . They are beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
It truly is! They bring smiles to everyone's faces! 🥰
I don't know if they are, but they seem like friendly animals. The young ones are cuties. Wouldn't mind being able to climb that good.
I think they are very peaceful and gentle, but I’m sure if provoked or when defending their young they can be your worst enemy! I would love to climb like that too, Frank! The closest I ever came to it was swinging on monkey bars in elementary school - doubt I could do it now!! 😁
For the most part they are friendly. But big males are very strong and can get dangerous.
Lovely ❤
thank you!
So amazingly adorable i just love them❤
They are precious! 🥰
The video was awesome what a lovely family. You can see the confidence the young ones have but also can see the bond with the parents. Love these animals an how you were able to capture the bond
thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing this beautiful family interacting. So much love and connection among them!
What a beautiful family! I love orangs, they are so intelligent and all that red hair! All the family members look happy and healthy, so nice to see. The baby is a cutie pie! In the wild, the dads have nothing to do with the babies but this dad looks like a good father. Thank you for the sweet video, I really enjoyed it! 🦧♥️😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed this video - I just love orangutans (so much personality!). I'm grateful I was able to capture the little ones together when I did, because this family group has since been separated. One of the babies, his mother, and grandmother are now relocated to the Naples Zoo for conservation efforts.
@@MichelleSiefkenPhotographyI hope they are all doing OK😊

. *THEY ARE SO VERY BEAUTIFUL.*
Michelle- Thank you for the great videos of the Orangutans. I watch all orangutans, chimps & gorillas. Will you be doing more of the Orangutans? I have not subscribed yet. All your content is beautifully done. I took a peak at some of the other zoo animals. I have subscribed to all the orangutan creators. I would love to see more of this family. So many 6 ones running around, then the adolescents are really neat to watch. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and enjoying my videos! I love filming orangutans, gorillas, and other primates. I'm sure I will be filming them again! 😁
Great content but the quality itself (video "visual") is best ever. Hope I expressed my thoughts clear enough.
Lots of detail, many close-ups that are fun and funny. Thank you. Enjoy!
Thank you so much! You expressed your thoughts very well! I'm grateful! 😀
❤❤❤❤they share our almost exact d na they show emotions in same way we do 😢😢😢 its why when deforestization started dwindling wild oragotans numbers very low low they do get friendly to humans its a horrible feeling to see them fully trust a human only to watch as thisr mothers get brutally murdered and most times the ba. bies are sold for small amoûnts if we dont stop buying products that have palm oil in them and just start allowing them to regain in numbers we will only see oragotans in zoos and on t.v. so think if the chimps and gorillas and oragotans can be killed off hopefully when humans atart to fade away we will start small sancuaries. To let breeding happen or do like ms lorna did do a jungle school so they are able to be rleased to wild this process takes fully cycled ten years
It is so sad and so cruel. I hope awareness will bring positive change. Thank you for sharing!
Amazing shots.
I didn't know there were orangutans in Tampa
Thank you!
I you💋
