Hello, I’ve just found your channel and go back and watch earlier ones to catch up. I have lost almost 9 stones or 124lb by calorie counting . I was 17stone 10 and a size 22/24 and am now 8stone 12 and a size 10. I’m 5’7 and I didn’t exercise as I have a heart condition ( and hate exercise). Just before the lockdowns started I thought I must do something about this obesity and lost 7 and a half stone from Jan 2020 - Jan 2021. Then from Jan 2021 to Jan 2022 I lost another stone and a half or there abouts. I use MyFitnessPal and a Renpho scale but didn’t know I could connect them. My Renpho does come up on my iPad and phone. I’m now in the maintenance stage which is not easy but I’m reverse dieting to increase my calories a little bit at a time and stay within about a 3lb target.
One suggestion that I would like to make as it helped me and may help yourself or your viewers….I also started intermittent fasting. I eat between 12 MD and stop at 8 pm. I have the same amount of calories 1700 but just in a shorter timeframe. My munchie time is the afternoon so this way it helps me stay in my calories But I can graze a bit during my munchie time. It takes practice and determination but my mind and body are now programmed to stop eating at 8 pm. I also recommend watching motivational vlogs like yours and I watched My 600lb life on RUclips ( scared the bejesus out of me ) and look at the stories of people who have lost weight on Pinterest. Losing weight is a mindset and anything that helps motivate me is soooo helpful on those days that I could eat the hind leg off a donkey ! Good luck with your future weight loss.

@@sarahozigi5009 hi , no I started with the 800calorie diet for three months following the Dr Michael Mosley book to kick start my weight loss as the quicker you loose initially the better. I started intermittent fasting which made eating 800 calories so much easier to staticky to by only eating between 12 md and 8 pm. Then I went on to work out my TDEE using an online calculator, I can’t remember exactly how many calories that was but about 1200 ? I lost 1-2lb a week every week until I got down to about 9 stone 7 which is in the healthy range for my height. I have been doing a reverse diet since Jan 2022 slowly building up my calories with out putting weight on until I have reached 1700. I will hopefully bring that up to 1800 ish or more . I know I will have to continue to count calories to stay around my target, it’s a pain but I’ve learnt how my body works and how easily I could slip back into obesity. I hope that is helpful.

This was always my problem with slimming world. I'd need to grab something in a hurry and it was "cant buy this, can't buy that etc. Let's face it I made the slimming world chicken and mushroom pie. It cost me £25 for the specific ingredients, 3 hours to make. It was awful, the pie sauce was watery and an hour later I was hungry again (quark, what is that about!!!??) Yesterday I followed calorie counting aiming for 1500 calories. I had a bacon sandwich for breakfast, haddock mornay with mash and peas for lunch, a bag of crisps about 3pm, shepards pie and peas for dinner. All came in at 1550 calories, guilt free and regular food. Not once was I starving and I'm looking forward to today. No food choice is off the table, just have to make sure each meal is 4-5 hundred calories. I will let you know how I get on. Many thanks and I will keep watching XXX

Great tips for calorie counting, but I'm staying faithful to SW for the time being..! Lost 4 and half pound this week, so back to just over 2 stone lighter now!😀 Started doing regular walking for exercise at the weekend a couple of months ago and did 8 and half miles yesterday. Also, trying to get my steps in during the week too! 😀

Hi Patrick - Hope all is well. How are you getting on? I find cal counting a slower journey than SW but my mindset is 100% better as I cant bare a lot of the food sw still suggest its ancient & out dated - there I've said it. I use nutracheck online as I track my cals manually 5 days a week. I have a break for 2 days which I use as my "learning days". I want to know naturally what 2000 consists of in general (not much)😆🤣😂. Who do you follow at the mo as there are a few fab cal counters that may be of help to you.
