I’ve heard over a hundred cops that said any government employee can shut down a government building, whenever they choose to. Those cowards will tell any lie they can think of.
The information behind the counter on the wall is for public information. Ie Charges for postal services. Are you not allowed to look at these because they are "behind the counter". So if you can see it you can record it. What a stupid ignorant postal worker. Needs to be retrained or fired.
Poster 7 doesn't give those rights. We were born with those rights in America and that poster says that the government can't stop you. Eventhough they still try and sometimes do.

This is a example of poor training and communication. So they got a memo saying that citizens have right to record in lobby areas , but failed to emphasize for the purpose of understanding , is didn't say that it means everything that is visible with the eye . . This is a common example of lack of training to the civil servants.

I worked at the post office for brief time and yea they do not need to have inspection stickers. They’re required to be inspected everyday by the carrier using it and once a year at a shop they just don’t need the sticker among other things like license plates. Exemptions for thee and not for me lol

That’s why they don’t have any license plates either. They’re registered with the government that’s the number on the back usually top left hand side. That serves as the plate and registration.
That first postal employee is a disgrace to his profession, his demeanor, his appearance (out of uniform no visible name tag)and his knowledge of the rules and regulations (even after a personal conversation with supervisors, a memo and reading the actual rules). That second one though very professional, very polite, smiles all around from the employees even the young lady with the messy bun, they were both dressed in their uniform, knew the rules and regulations, poster 7 was easy to access, the gentleman in the lobby even pointed it out knowing Dan was probably in search of it. The first employee needs to be removed immediately, he’s as bad as they get. All management and retail employees were required to take training on public photography. The training explained Poster 7 and how you were to handle the situation. If I remember correctly we were to ignore and leave the person alone. 6. Postal Employees are required to call FPS and NOT Local Law Enforcement (LEO) because LEO does not understand Federal Law.
7. Postal employees are only to call Local or State Law Enforcement ONLY if there is an immediate threat to life or injury.
8. When the USPS employees call LEO for non-life-threatening purposes, they have violated the rules and regulations AKA Federal Law are subject to the fines and penalties outlined in Poster 7.
9. Absent the written agreement between the USPS location and the US Postal Inspector, Local and State Law enforcement violates the “No Firearms” on the premises laws when they respond. Local LEO cannot bring their Firearms into the Post Office. Title 39, Code of Federal Regulations,

In 2004, Congress passed and the President signed the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 (LEOSA), Pub. L. No. 108-277, 118 Stat. 865 (2004), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 926B, “Carrying of concealed firearms by qualified law enforcement officers” and 18 U.S.C. § 926C, “Carrying of concealed firearms by qualified retired law enforcement officers.” With explicit limitations and conditions, LEOSA exempts “qualified” active duty law enforcement officers (LEOs)(federal, state, and local), as well as “qualified” retired law enforcement officers from most state laws and local ordinances prohibiting the carrying of concealed firearms.
Law enforcement officers are not exempt from federal laws or regulations, which regulate the carrying of firearms onto aircraft, federal property, federal buildings, and national parks.
LEOSA does not confer upon law enforcement officers who are off-duty, or qualified retired law enforcement officers any federal law enforcement arrest authority.
Please read those last two sections again. There you have it. Local Law enforcement has Zero authority to arrest or trespass people from Federal Property which includes the USPO AND they cannot carry their firearms onto the property. The only exception is if someone is in danger of losing their life.
