I know I'm late to the game, but you're very correct about that. I have a personal injury lawyer, and a friend who is one too. They aren't very well versed on all matters of public photography but they know a bit. I was trying to find the USC code for the Supreme Court ruling about photography deemed an "official act/business", so you cannot be trespassed or charged for loitering. Apparently my lawyers didn't know the USC or even the ruling. Not even any auditors that I asked can answer me.
Not just that, but calling someone “one of these guys” tells us they’ve already been challenged and corrected yet resort to their old ways as soon as the public leaves.

It is a legitimate concern but dan addressed it well if we still used old school cameras with the super bright flash it would literally destroy some of those documents the paper their printed on is extremely light sensitive as it ages I've seen it done to a blank page before from like 1750 and it was fine for a few minutes but when they tried to move it it fell apart like a sand castle

In the 70s and 80s anyone seeking service from the court clerk was always met with disdain if the cleark actually had to do something beyond her normal duties i spent so much time in the court house looking for information that over half of the country's in Oklahoma knew me by name and i would know when i walked in if i woukd get hood service or not by who was working it was amazing the difference it it is when you know your rights and how much time and money the freedom of information act has done for records research it could cost up to 200 dollars to get any information on a police officer also you had to know who to ask and who to pay as most of the information wasn't going to be made available without payment under the table 😂😂

Back in the 80s i carried a camera into the records room when looking up information about a case i was working on and as long as i didn't need a certified copy i would just take a photo of the pages i needed in some county records rooms they wouldn't allow me to but i would sneak a photo when they walked a way one office would charge me a dollar a page just for phoutgraph which was still cheaper than the 2 dollar for certified copies

The old notion of taking pictures was damaging the original documents extends back to the days of indoor photographs being illuminated by using a flash system of igniting a mixture of chemicals that produced a bright flash when ignited. Even the later “flash bulbs” could explode upon use, causing a potential fire risk. Modern day photography has eliminated this risk this causing no damage. Technology has been upgraded, human ideas and old practices have not kept up with the modern times.
If I could afford it, I would create literature and also physically interact with the public explaining the true facts of what the agenda of auditing should be, education of our rights and how seriously important the Constitution is.

The old notion of taking pictures was damaging the original documents extends back to the days of indoor photographs being illuminated by using a flash system of igniting a mixture of chemicals that produced a bright flash when ignited. Even the later “flash bulbs” could explode upon use, causing a potential fire risk. Modern day photography has eliminated this risk this causing no damage. Technology has been upgraded, human ideas and old practices have not kept up with the modern times.

If I could afford it, I would create literature and also physically interact with the public explaining the true facts of what the agenda of auditing should be, education of our rights and how seriously important the Constitution is.

Awesome video Dan, yes this community seems to be very transparent and welcoming, it would be a nice place to visit. The county chambers are beautiful. I can see these public servants are proud of their county buildings.
