Looks pretty good there MC. I think I'd put a piece of heater hose over the fuel line where it goes in between the rear cross member for "piece of mind" insurance so it won't scrape the cross-member. It does look really good.
Someday I'll put one in my frame rails like that. Mine came with tank in the cab and now it's back in the cab cuz don't have bucks to put tank out back right now.
Well thank you and your welcome. I have critiqued your videos maybe you can stop by and do the same for me. I don't have a lot of them but I do have one where I replaced the rack in my van. Anyway.
I'm not a fan of any rubber fuel line that is longer than 6" or so...Just sayin' and any fuel hose should not be longer than one foot in length by law here...It turned out pretty neat.
looks great. what part of Oregon are you in? I am up in St. Helens. Love the videos. Glad there are guys like you (perfectionists) to watch how it should be done while I don't :)
Chevy used Coils on the C10's Standard into the 70's I believe. They went to coils in 60 and back to leafs in the 70's if I remember right. Leafs were an option for chevys. Now GMC's were different.
Oh ok. Do you feel like 18 is gonna be big enough. I'm working on a 71 k20 and it had side tanks. I'm thinking of having some new tanks built. I wanna be able to not worry about gas up in the mountains. You know any where in that fabricates gas tanks?
Very cool vid, but please work on the video skills. Kinda made me a bit nauseous watching it. Again, very informative. I know, everybody's a critic!! Lol
Good lord that thing is clean. Nicely done man, I’m working on a 66 right now
Thanks!

Thanks!! Good idea! I was thinking about something to cover that part of the line for sure. Either wire loom or heat hose.
If you have some of that Plastic Wire Loom that would be some great stuff to use on it.
Danny Walker I do! lol We have lot's of the big stuff at the shop. :)
Looks pretty clean to me! Nice job and you will be really happy with the fixed hard lines for the fuel. Happy New Year!
Thanks George! I always wanted metal line over rubber. haha Less to worry about! Happy New Year!
Fits and looks good. Happy New Years.

You won't regret it! I've been dealing with in cab fumes and I'm tire of it. haha Thanks for watchin!
Tank looks great in that frame. Seems like you got the gas line in there right too
Thanks! Still wishing the sending unit would route the other way, but it'll work and function fine I hope.
Tanks for the update.

potato - patatov- vodka
That is a nice area. Been through there a couple of times.
Jay Groom haha, well if you ever pass through send a PM and stop by. Always wanting to meet other youtubers.
will do
Now for some wires.
Yep!!!
How will you replace the pump with the bed on? I can't see what's there for fasteners.
There are 3 studs on top that mount the pump. Bed should clear without issues and there should be plenty of room.
Maybe you had already thought of this but did you consider an in tank pump?
I didn't, mainly because it would be a bear to change out. With this setup I don't actually have to drop the tank. :)
Where did you get your tank from?
I had no idea that some C10s have rear coil springs. Was that standard, an option or after market?
Chevy used Coils on the C10's Standard into the 70's I believe. They went to coils in 60 and back to leafs in the 70's if I remember right. Leafs were an option for chevys. Now GMC's were different.
+Military Chevy the 60-65 gmcs have leafs
Hey Military Chevy, what tank did you use? Part #s would be helpful. Thanks
Hi there, I used a tank from Orange County truck and car shop.com Part number is #63-107085
Where can I buy a gas tank like that please let me know I really need one
Thanks, I got this one from Classic Parts of America :)
Brothers trucks part
Lax truck parts
Are you venting your tank? I'm doing the same thing and using the tank from LMC.
I will be yes, probably going to plug that off and just use a vented fuel cap.
where you gonna put the spare tire now?
Factory spare goes in front of the stepside fender.
ok i see. What gallon is your tank? Where did you purchase it from?
It's an 18 gallon and I got it from Orange County Truck in Car shop in California.
Oh ok. Do you feel like 18 is gonna be big enough. I'm working on a 71 k20 and it had side tanks. I'm thinking of having some new tanks built. I wanna be able to not worry about gas up in the mountains. You know any where in that fabricates gas tanks?
I'd go with at least a 20 gallon, Im sure saddle tanks could be fabricated...not sure where though.
where did you get tank from?
I got it from Orange County Truck and Car shop
HA !!! Classic Car Parts "Two Thumbs Down" Sent me the same thing... Bent the incorrect way... Shoot
I ended up getting a hold of the people from truck and car shop, they say they bend them that way for shipping purposes. lol OK I said.

haha Sorry about that....I have never had a very steady hand holding a camera. Working on it though. :) Thanks for pressing through it. lol
