I SEE YOU USED A 1967 GAS TANK FROM A COUGAR YOU ARE RUNNING FUEL INJECTION . WHAT DID YOU DO FOR A SENDING UNIT AND RETURN PORT BACK TO TANK.

I'll just be installing a sending unit from a 67 Mercury Cougar......... I will be running fuel injection.... however, I haven't added a return port yet. It is a brand new tank, never had gas in it, so should be pretty easy to weld on a bung.

Hey, Phil! I’m loving your videos and I’m getting some great ideas for my 1950 3100.
How/where did you end up routing the fill/vent lines?

    • @ShowPhil

The FILL hose is going to go straight up and I'll have a fitting to fill the tank right through the wood bed. Haven't run the vent line yet, but that will be pretty easy I think.

So overall do you think this was a good one to use? Ive heard 68ish mustang tanks drop right in? I am planning to probably do mine next winter but want to be completely ready before then.

I just thought about it and that's probably the same tank as a mustang lol...

Hi Braden! Thx for watching! As of right now, I'm extremely pleased with the tank.... Just building a simple 1.5" angle iron frame.... the tank just dropped right in. I'm building a shorty BAGGED truck, giving me less room behind the axle than a normal truck..... and the tank fit perfect for me space wise.

@@ShowPhil awesome. I think I'm gonna do the same. Mines not bagged but I want to move the tank mostly for weight transfer. What about fuel lines and sending unit?

Right now I planned on using the '67 cougar fuel sender: www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=11522505&cc=1366264&jsn=844
I'm using a Tune Port Injection motor.... so now I'm curious about return fuel line..... I could always tig weld on a new bung to connect a return line to I suppose.

Did you end up having to get a different sending unit to work with your gauges? If so what did you use
