    I put a 40 gallon suburban tank in my lwb. I used all of the factory suburban cross members, tank straps and all. It looks very similar to yours. I did end up raising the bed floor 3 inches to clear the filler neck. Now after all that I'm considering cutting it down to a short bed.😅

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  Год назад +1

      I shouldn’t have to raise the bed floor. I think I can work around it and wait till you see how this filler comes out

    I almost went this route with my 83 SWB but I picked up a 73 454 for the truck and I decided having dual 16 gallon saddles to feed the big block is too convenient to pass up.
    On another note, how're you liking being in the new shop so far?

    Good job…how are you gonna tighten the bed bolts with the tank inside the frame??

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  Год назад +1

      Good question. I can mount the bed before the tank is installed.

    • @browe63
      @browe63 Год назад +1

      Last one I did I drilled a hole in the bottom rail,welded a piece of pipe inside the frame and ran a long bolt thru it and tighten it from the bottom…pipe keeps the frame from smashing together…that’s a pro- tip…lol

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  Год назад +1

      That would work but I don’t like the bolts and nuts hanging below the frame

    How much fuel does the k-5 blazer tank hold compared to the side tank on the c-10? Watch that heat out there.👍

    • @HarmonGarage
      @HarmonGarage  Год назад +1

      The saddle tanks on a shortbed hold 16 each and the longbeds are mostly 18 each. This blazer tank holds 25
