Alright Shorty has a fuel tank sure wish my 86 did but hey lol it's out thr just gots 2 do it but great video and keep it goin so till next time 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@HarmonGarage oh I understand. I just can't wait to see what you gonna do with it. I am in a wheelchair and I love seeing cool things built, I want to build cars, truck, like you do, but can't. 👍👍👍
Hi Aaron, I'm new to your channel and wanted to let you know that I'm Aunt B to Fred and Jeff. I'm enjoying watching your videos of "Shorty " with these two guys!!
This turned out great! Looking forward to seeing the rear frame painted and finished out. I’m going to need to bring you that engine and transmission soon. Thanks for everything!
I put a 40 gallon suburban tank in my lwb. I used all of the factory suburban cross members, tank straps and all. It looks very similar to yours. I did end up raising the bed floor 3 inches to clear the filler neck. Now after all that I'm considering cutting it down to a short bed.😅
I think every truck should have blazer gas tanks... and the gas fill behind the tail light. I am binge watching again to get caught up... the more comments i leave, the more it helps your channel
Last one I did I drilled a hole in the bottom rail, welded a piece of pipe inside the frame and ran a long bolt thru it and tighten it from the bottom…pipe keeps the frame from smashing together…that’s a pro- tip…lol
I almost went this route with my 83 SWB but I picked up a 73 454 for the truck and I decided having dual 16 gallon saddles to feed the big block is too convenient to pass up. On another note, how're you liking being in the new shop so far?
Good info.... Doing one when it cools off in Texas,
Best of luck on it. Hope the video helps

I shouldn’t have to raise the bed floor. I think I can work around it and wait till you see how this filler comes out
thanks for watching!
I like the idea of the blazer tank a lot better than using a fuel cell.
Absolutely
I agree!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome tutorial explanation as usual keep up the awesome work

I installed a 31 gallon tank in my R3500 diesel to make it 51 gallon capacity. Had to move one crossmember to do it. Super easy.
That will get you down the road a ways
Cool!
Thanks for watching
Won't be long shorty will be ready to start the
reassembly process, Thx Aaron.
It’s coming along

I converted my 84 stepside to 4x4 in 98. I used alot of blazer parts I wish I had installed the blazer tank too.
It’s nice compared to the saddles

Great job, can hardly wait till the next video. i really enjoy watching you work on these old square bodies. Take care and try not to get too hot!
Thank you sir
I agree!
Thanks for watching!
I thought of doing the same thing to my 85 c10 2wd short. But ended up going with a left side 87 r10 fuel injection tank for the ls swap. Looks good!
Thanks

Thanks buddy. I appreciate it

I need to do mine like that
It makes a big difference

Nice job! Fits great. Im sure it’s not going to be used as a stump jumper anyways, so it doesn’t matter how low it sits! Lol!
Thanks. Yea that’s pretty bunch it.
Thanks for watching
I thought about doing this on my k10 long bed but want to leave from later to make it a shortbed
Cool
Thanks for watching.
when those springs sprang, I jumped too... lol
It definitely got my attention
LOL! Thanks for watching
If you are going to cut the bed sides down, please show in detail how. Great video! Thanks
I’m not, I already have a shortbed for it. But I will make a video of shortening a bed sometime soon
Thanks for watching

Can't wait to see what the overload spring removal will do.
I will show it all.

I have been thinking about putting a blazer or suburban tank in my 1 ton dump truck just have to see if I would have clearance under the dump bed.
You should. The tank sits level with the top of the frame
Thanks for watching.
What’s the plan for the rear bumper, looks like that truck has the longer leaf springs
It does. I will make brackets for the bumper mounts when I get to that pount
Thanks for watching
Good job…how are you gonna tighten the bed bolts with the tank inside the frame??
Good question. I can mount the bed before the tank is installed.
Last one I did I drilled a hole in the bottom rail, welded a piece of pipe inside the frame and ran a long bolt thru it and tighten it from the bottom…pipe keeps the frame from smashing together…that’s a pro- tip…lol
That would work but I don’t like the bolts and nuts hanging below the frame
Great question

I don’t know if it’s still there or not.
It's up now for sure!

How did you run the fuel neck. Im thinking about doing this to my stepside
I haven’t yet. It will be coming up in a future video
Ok thanks

Hi buddy!
Hey buddy
hello!
How much fuel does the k-5 blazer tank hold compared to the side tank on the c-10? Watch that heat out there.👍
The saddle tanks on a shortbed hold 16 each and the longbeds are mostly 18 each. This blazer tank holds 25
@@HarmonGarage nice thanks
No problem
Thanks for watching!
25-gallon tank should get you around the parking lot a few times.
Yes sir
thanks for watching
What did you do for the shock placement after the tank
Left the shocks in the factory locations
Thanks for watching.
Really like your channel. Would like a tee-shirt
Thank you
What year of blazer tank is it sir.?
85
@@HarmonGarage Ok. Thanks. I mght try and see if it will go into a 67 C10. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you sir. You could also try a 67-72 blazer tank if your putting it in a 67
@@HarmonGarageIt almost looks like the 85 doesnt hang as low as the 67-72 blazer tank?
It’s possible. I have never put one in a 67-72
How u doing buddy
Doing good, glad to see your back
👍
Do you know where you got the fuel tank straps and what part number it was?
I don’t have a part number but I believe they came from summit.
Spectra part # ST12
I believe they came from summit
another great infuriate video!
