    the way you explain how to lay each line and "why" is beyond helpful, coming from a person who's never done anything with markers before, to now be able to do this. I'm blown away! You have the kind of quality content people would pay for. I'm a broke college student, but if you had a donation button, I'd use it when I could!

    I found your channel and couldn’t stop watching it! Theses tutorials are gold! Thank you so much! I am trying to get into drawing with markers, I want to use Copics but cannot decide which colors I should buy. I would like to draw nature (flowers, plants, beach, birds..). Could you recommend a starter Copic palette for this purpose please?

    • @AimianArt
      @AimianArt  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! I have the same struggle. It's hard to pick the right colors. Most of my markers are actually TouchFour, Artist Loft, and Blick. I don't have too much experience with Copic colors. But I can definitely share some Copic colors that I think its unique and good to draw nature. 💚Green colors: G24(this is my favorite, I bought refill ink because i use it a lot), G28 & G29 (these are similar to Touch Marker #54), YG63, G40. 💙Blue colors: B41 & B52 Great color for water. 💓Pink Colors: R83, R85, RV42. Great for flower trees. 💜 Purple color: RV02, BV34. I hope it's helpful. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions 💖

    • @AimianArt
      @AimianArt  3 года назад +1

      thank you for asking. 💜 Welcome! If you only want to draw landscape to start, a 24 color set is good but you will need to pick your own colors instead of buying the set. The set of each brand normally has some colors you probably will never use. Buying individual marker will be more expensive though. So I do recommend getting a 48 color set if you can. If not, you can buy a 24 color set, then buy some individual colors separately.

Why recommend markers that u didn't use??????? .....CG1 CG3 CG5....WHY would ohuhu make a set of 48 and None of the "greys" are even close to being something used for light shading . Waste of money "for shading rocks". Misleading video. But at least ohuhu got a sale😢

      Hi John, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. There might be some confusion, and I do apologize for the inconvenience it has caused. I have some suggestions that I hope will be helpful. In the video description, I recommend the Ohuhu 72-color set, not the 48-color set. Additionally, I did include all the colors and brands I used for each drawing in the description to guide people. I understand it's challenging to buy markers from different brands, so the 72-color set is a general recommendation for those who don't own any markers. Ohuhu offers a 30-day refund policy if you're interested. They also sell individual markers on their website, which is great for those on a budget, like when I started drawing.
      However, it's important to note that even the 72-color set will not fulfill all needs for different drawings. Starting with a small set and gradually adding new colors is what I typically recommend for those on a budget, like myself. The Ohuhu 48 set is still a great option, as it's a part of the 72 set I currently have. But I agree that the 48 set lacks gray colors. There are two possible options: 1. Return the 48 set and take some time to explore other sets. If you need marker set suggestions, I'd be happy to share more tips. 2. Keep the set you already have and either purchase individual colors or acquire other sets of markers to use them together. This is the method when I first started.
      I understand that buying and using new markers can be frustrating, but I hope this experience doesn't dampen your passion for art. I never encourage people to buy more markers than they need, as it can become expensive. In my future videos, I will provide clearer explanations in the description box. If you have more questions, feel free to let me know. I really hope you will enjoy your marker journey.

      @@AimianArt tyvm I don't know what I don't know. But I would think there'd be a standardization to the letter/numbering system. And I would think 48 markers would be sufficient to include the lightest grey. I mean it appears that ur supposed to start with the lightest shade and move up, right. And honestly 2 of the "greys" are almost black. Tc

      I totally agree. The problem is that most marker sets from any brand, they try to include as many colors in one set but not as many as shades. And there are always some colors in a set I never use. 48 colors are definitely more than enough but you would have to pick your own colors. And the color number is unfortunately not universal. Different brand have different systems. I know it’s very confusing at the beginning. But you are in the right direction. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

    I love your channel, I'm working to buy those markers, can you tell me at least 16 colors to start? Is that they are surely expensive and because the currency of my country is devalued, I am from Venezuela.

      Thank you for the support 💚 ! I think so far the most economic choice is the TouchFive markers. I have a combination of TouchFour(same with TouchFive color), Blicks, Artist's Loft, and Copic. I think TouchFive works great. No need to buy expensive markers. If you wanna do landscape sketches, here are my most frequently used markers. 💚Green colors: TouchFive 48, 47, 54, 43, Copic G24, ⚪ Gray color: TouchFive W1, W3, W5, W9, C1, C3, C6 🔵Blue colors: Copic B41, Artist's Loft B17. Keep in mind, different brands have very similar colors. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

      @@AimianArt Thank you very much indeed, I am practicing although I think my hands are shaking a lot and I can't make a perfect line, but with your tutorials I can learn a lot since they are easy to understand and you're clear when explaining. And thanks for the recommended bookmarks, I'll see if I find similar ones in a local store.
      Something else, you draw bodies, animals, objects, rooms, etc. or do you just like to do landscapes?

      Thank you for sharing your experience with me! Yes going to local store to test colors will be super helpful. But try to buy them online. I think it’s cheaper online. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad to hear all your feedback. It gives me more ideas how should I make my tutorials. Yes I do like drawing portraits, architecture, and all other stuff. But I won’t be able to cover all subjects for now. I will have a couple more landscape tutorials coming out. Then I will start to make tutorials of how to draw houses stuff. I will focus on one subject at a time. If you have any questions feel free to let me know. I’m here to help. I will try to make some tutorials about line work later in the house tutorials. I haven’t talked about it much. 💜 I’m glad you are here and improving your art. I hope you will have a fun time.

      @@AimianArtI know that things are cheaper online but the shipping price is very expensive for my region for various reasons, but I will still see if I can ask a foreign relative to send them to me here. You do it incredible, take your time doing things, please don't let anything overwhelm you. :(
      You're a mine full of art, I admire you a lot and I am waiting until I get the materials to do all your tutorials, because you're kind, sweet, talented and humble, I wish you all the best in this world, not only for your help, but also you deserve it, you deserve the best. I find it interesting that you have so many ideas and creativity, but I repeat, don't be overwhelmed, don't overexert yourself, always go calmly in all the projects you plan to do in the future. 💕💙

      Thank you!! You are so sweet. Your words means a lot for me and my channel. I’m definitely overwhelmed now since I can’t upload my video on time haha. But thank you. Your kindness made me feel much better. Feel free to keep me posted with your art journey process. Don’t hesitate to let me know when you have any questions. I have experience with other art media such watercolor and acrylic. I’m focusing on markers at the moment because it’s just easy to carry around and less messy. I would love to hear from you and see your practices. 💜

    Something else, can you tell me what types of paper I can use for each type of drawing? Is that I am new but I try to do my best to learn, I have only used notebook sheets to write and then the pages tear (even if I use a pencil).

      Hi there! Welcome! I listed all my supplies' names (including paper and pens) and marker color codes in the description box for each of my tutorials. Feel free to check it. I know it's hard to find since I have so much text in the description box haha. The paper I used here is the mixed media paper 98lb. The regular notebook paper is kind of too thin. But the copy paper actually works but it's not the best. I recommend using at least 74 lb paper.

      the pencil I used is GraphGear brand. You don't need to use this kind of pencil. I just happen to had it. The pen I used was Sakura Pigma Micron. It dries fast and doesn't smudge too much.
