"Have you lost weight?" "Have we met?" That's gonna be me if and when I ever meet my husband's father. (He's said terrible things about me when we dated, and we're married now, but I still haven't met him.)
Elizabeth Taylor is perfect!!! I never knew Elizabeth from other films just from The Flintstones. She was a great actress and a perfect icon! R.I.P.... I am fan of the Flintstones too, for the time I could ever remember. I grew up watching The Flintstones and a lot of Disney Movies... I always remember Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Collins in the role of Mrs. Pearl Pebble-Slaghoople (Wilma's mother) and I always loved both of them.
Even though she was past her prime Elizabeth Taylor was still the worlds most beautiful woman and still had a lot of spring left in her step like she was her younger self all over again(: RIP Elizabeth(: This film had a lot of beautiful women in it. Of course Elizabeth and Halle Berry and Elizabeth Perkins even Rosie was good looking in her younger days.
Because of Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Mrs. Joan Collins as Mrs. Slaghoople and Glenn Close as Cruella De Vil I decided to be Fashion-Designer! In this scene I found out that there was a deleted scene where Fred's third grade teacher, Mrs. Feldspar introduced her self to Fred and Wilma, that woman was Jean Vander-Pyl the original voice of Wilma, you can see her behind of Dino in Conga Line.
can you imagine, not one acting class for Miss Taylor? i was only a kid when this movie came out and when she passed on, i realized it was her. i loved her part of the movie when i was a kid. wow, she even had a charisma to an unknowing child :) RIP Elizabeth
It is a shame the young people only saw Elizabeth in this film. She was such a woman of PASSION all her life from National Velvet as a kid to GH, LUCY, Bob Hope Comedy to the Flintstones. She had it all & always knew how to work it! We love her for her work in the movies & theatre & her 27 year battle to save so many lives with AMFAR & the ET AIDS Foundation. She is a legend an icon the Queen of the Golden Era of Hollywood. Her legacy lives on. THERE AIN'T NOTHING LIKE A DAME.
wow! What year was this? Elizabeth Taylor looks so full of life here. She looks like she's one step closer to death now. I wonder what happened to her?..... :/
It's like someone just looked at some pictures of The Flintstones and then made a movie based on their vague memory of it. What a hunk of shit this movie was. Not even remotely accurate to what The Flintstones was...
C.J. O'Dell Nah, I've seen it. Both of these movies were complete and utter garbage. Studios always go too far when trying to make a live-action adaptation of a famous property.
I flipping love Elizabeth Taylor.
She's a legend, and when she does little guest roles that are this funny its GREAT!
Barney is Wayne Szalinski from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
"Have you lost weight?"
"Have we met?"
That's gonna be me if and when I ever meet my husband's father. (He's said terrible things about me when we dated, and we're married now, but I still haven't met him.)
"Have we met?"
"Hope its not another poem."
I mean of course, John Goodman nailed it as Fred, but credit is also due to Rick Moranis for his portrayal of Barney, I think he did a great job.

The only reason I had to see this film at the time: "that" ELIZABETH TAYLOR... Not disapointed: she's the best in it...
She is only thing i remenber from movie.

I wish Elizabeth Taylor was my mother-in-law! ...XD
The only thing I was waiting for was the ending, with the hilarious sight of Dino joining the Konga. Couldn't you wait for just 5 more seconds !!!
Did you know, that the lady dancing behind Dino in the conga line is Jean Vander Pyle, who was the original voice of Wilma?

I'm sorry this is a really late reply. The Flintstones movie is 1994.

Well then don't watch The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas then. Because that film is MUCH worse.
C.J. O'Dell Nah, I've seen it. Both of these movies were complete and utter garbage. Studios always go too far when trying to make a live-action adaptation of a famous property.
LuneyTune72 I actually like this one, but I agree that the sequel was absolute garbage.
Maybe, but that didn't stop the kids of the 1990s from loving the movie and the cartoons.
grande Liz!
