Exactly! I want to see the person using their own products especially celebs because it’s so easy for them to come under fire for selling us one thing yet they use top of the line products. I wouldn’t buy the lipstick from Fenty Beauty until I saw Rihanna do a video of herself using her products. I want to make sure it’s not just another gimmick; a cash grab.

You see now I was with Tracy up until she pulled out the curling iron! Because the reason that some of her curls are not popping at the ends, is due to some form of keratin bond breakdown/damage. She may already have heat damage, which is why some parts of her hair are not curling, like the rest. Putting heat specifically onto areas that are already heat damaged is just promising that those areas will never curl again. It’s better to put in a roller and recur it without heat or to just trim those parts off completely…. that right there to me is pretty much the definition of hairstyling versus hair care. You can put that iron on there and style her curls beautifully but are you truly caring for her hair or is she going to end up worse off a little bit further down the line than she is right now?

YASSS TO EVERYTHING except the curling iron on the ends. (We not finna disrespect our elders like that..) As an alternative, you could try using a pinch of your mousse from your line directly on the ends and a plastic straw wrap-around. Hold for like 10-15 seconds and then gently slip the straw out. Yes, it works and retains that moisture a lot better than the heat. But other than that.. chefs kiss 👌🏾👌🏾

Everyone is praising TER for her promotion of Pattern products which is fine. Implicitly Beyonce is being criticised for not being the same.
They are very different types of celebrities with different kinds of branding. I don't understand the obsession with "relatability". I just want to know how the products work and how good/appropriate they are for my hair type.

Great point and I agree! Maybe I am the only one but I don’t have to relate or like any of these celebrities. It really boils down to how the product is marketed and who it’s being marketed to. If I decide to purchase, then I look at the product ingredients to see perhaps if they will work for my hair type.
I have purchased several of Pattern Beauty products and they work great for my hair. Therefore Pattern is a staple for me. Cecred marketing was the best I have ever seen in a long while. However, hair products that’s marketed to all hair types do not necessarily work well in my hair. Even with that in mind, I was tempted until I researched the ingredients, then it was a no buy for me.

Because we live in a world of comparison. Unfortunately some will always have something negative to say.

If u dont understand it, u dont understand marketing or branding. Starting a business, one of the main agendas you are told to have is “solving a problem.” This is what Tracee is focused on as u can see. Making curls pop, solving inconsistent patterns, best products for black women. “Other” brands didnt go deep enough and just threw the products at fans. It was a very superficial release with the gorgeous photoshoots, aesthetic packaging but the main ones doing the talking were youtube influencers so it gives off the impression that the product isnt really used or believer in by the owner, not to mention she does not show her real hair often. Rihanna and Kim K and Lauren Conrad WEAR their products bc its as if they created the lines specifically for them. So it gives the impression that if u want to look like them, wear or use what they have. Other people are never seen in their creations unless its for photoshoots and thats why their products end up discontinued or in Walmart clearance sections

@@THEDOORIZCLOSED I guess not. I don't go for celebrity brands because, on further examination, their products don't match the criteria of what I want from haircare or fashion. There's a lot of celebrity worshipping going on which is something I cannot RELATE to ha ha! I'm not in their demographic, so that makes sense.

I agree with Tracee, what I do is neverrr brush only use the old afro pic to seperate my curls, for me with diffuser I can get more curls. And if I want more volume, with the wire afro pic.
And tease my curl a bit.
    Perfection.
The curling iron is great idea. Cause I slick my back alot. So my front can use some help❤
