Wow…glad I bumped into you/this. I have my foot in the door and definitely feel like I don’t belong due to inexperience. I will look into this and hope to develop my skills and definitely give back to the community. It sucks being the new guy and at times can be extremely lonely and confusing o_O…overload of information/rabbit holes and at time staring at a wall and or banging your head against it…one day at a time 🤙🏻
I agree, Networking is something hard for me to study and deal with
The Bearded IT Dad, your channel is a rich dose of IT light. Phew!
My career goal is to get into tech and create a better life for myself and those that depend on me. TECHNOLOGY IS THE WAY! #CYBR
I need to make a shirt that says that "Technology is the way"
Looks interesting. Gonna check cybr out.
Great video, needed to see this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
AWESOME, this is what I was waiting for, the Best IT youtube channel Champion in 2022? and still!
Thank you
Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed it
I just got back from Navy bootcamp and had signed a contract to be a Cryptologic Network Technician (their version of a cybersecurity specialist), but ended up getting screwed over on my contract and separated for medical reasons. Getting sent back to square one has been tough, just out of high school looking hopefully into college and work but my passion for cybersecurity is still there. My goal is to get my Sec + and whatever other certs I think will help me get the job I’ve always dreamed of. Thank you for this video, it was very informational! #cybr
Best of luck to you! Keep us posted on your journey...you got this
You didn't get screwed over. You did it to yourself, shipmate.
@@user-vs5rr7jq1t My recruiter lied to me about a qualification for my Top Secret security clearance and knew I wouldn’t be able to get it which in turn got my contract revoked and they tried sticking me with Cullinary Specialist with a 93 ASVAB

My career goal is to get the sec+ early next year and to take the pnpt exam before the summer. I want to get a job in penetration testing after graduation.
#Cybr
Hey how are you doing with this goal so far?
This helps me thanks both of you.
Happy to help!
I am seeking to start in Helpdesk, Cloud, or Security. #CYBR
My IT career goal is become a cybersecurity engineer #CYBR
This is the most overwhelming career change ever. Idk if it’s even worth it anymore

#cybr
I would like to develop a Open Source - transparent solution for users to stay away from cyber treats! #cybr
Thanks daddy! 😊
Uggg🤨 lol
My goal is to get the A+ and N+ to create a foundation. I passed the sec+ last month. Is there a community I should join?
there is tons of community's out there what are you looking for?
@@TheBeardedITDad for those who just begun their journey into cybersecurity.
@@ViewsFromX i’m surprised you went for security+ first. A lot of concepts in A+ and Net+ would’ve helped you more before doing Sec+.
I have always wanted to learn hacking and understand all those attacks and how to stop it. I want to be a cybersecurity expert #CYBR
My IT Carrer Goals:
First: Learn more about IT technologies which build my IT security knowledge (try harder my knowledge :))
Second: Change my current job position to Security Analyst or Penetration Tester position.
Third: Opportiunities to use my knowledge in real world scenarios in my job or future job.
#CYBR
Great goald... What is your study plan and how are you working certs in there?
@@TheBeardedITDad Hm... First on all: I have many IT Certs like MCSA, MCSE or CISSP. I work in IT for 18 years :).
But... I decided to change something in my live and carrer. Now i prepare for OSCP exam and it is harder than I thought.
Especially in mind and emotional perspective - not technical skills. This is my plan for next year to be accomplished.
Regards.
Love how you've got a detailed plan! Keep us posted :)
I have 21+ year experience in cybersecurity and 10+ year in red team opportunity and I have aver certification out there right now and now I am get recertification right now it been 3 year for some certifications I have right now
nice
I too hate networking. I think if we no basic networking its sufficient but on that learning path still.
But how can you protect the network if you dont understand how it works?
@@TheBeardedITDad My apologies that should have said know basic networking.
oh ok...lol.... ya if you know the basics thats fine... you dont have to be a networking wizz to get into cyber...
My IT career goal is to get into InfoSec and become a pentester/redteamer. Working towards that by studying the eJPTv2 at the moment. #cybr
I Beta tested the eJPTv2 and its a great cert!
I am currently looking into doing consultancy in the cybersecurity field. I am currently self studying sales and marketing before I get started with the consultancy #cybr
Thanks daddy! 😊
Not sure how I feel about that..........
