Thanks for this. I recently bought a used Pontiac g3 and no videos on that car are around. So I figured a similar build would work. Thanks for uploading this
My cartridge filter (Fram ch10246) came with a big and a little O-ring. I had a conniption fit trying to figure out where the little one went. My guess is that some other model of car uses it. 😠
Super good and easy explanation I have a question regarding aveo LT 2010 Just RIGHT next to that oil filter bolt( AS YOU HV SOWN HERE)BELOW where I think body seals I see coolant leak NOT MUCH ( IS IT NORMAL WHEN TEMP DIP TO 10 DEGREE) Let me make clear No overheating No milky cap of oil cap nor dip stick No mixing of oil and coolant Bcz I dip cotton swab in both underneath oil cap and even in coolant reservoir Both retained their original color I don't have white smoke either
I’d have to see it but there usually is a coolant line that flows through the throttle body and it could be a simple rubber line. If not then maybe the throttle body gasket. Send me a picture @jokertechz on Instagram

If you get time can u research and let me know how shall I do it As you mentioned day before you will reply I am sure you were busy if you get little time I will appreciate
I wonder if on my car it’s getting low oil pressure because they never changed the filter or that o ring it’s weird that it’s placed in that spot because when I drive a hang a left my oil light goes away or it’s the pump going out but I hope not ima try truble shoot more befor I replace the hole pump
Check your oil level too. If you’re almost out of oil then when you turn, all the oil will go one way and the pump can’t pick up oil. That’s the easiest check first. Sorry I just saw this comment
@@Boost-EdAutomotive I changed the oil and filter still nothing it has oil it’s so weird I filled it past the full line less than half a quart now the oil light turns off at 1500 rpm’s but at a complete stop it comes back on
@jessecharlton240 unfortunately sounds like it may be time for a new oil pump. That’s or the bearings are worn. That’s just my opinion though. Could be something else
So helpful, now I can make my husband change my oil
I’ll get him a jack and jack stands for Christmas 😂
Don't forget to reward him afterwards... :-)

Thanks for the tutorial video brother. Straight to the point. Simple. Direct. Illustrative. Peace. Blessings.
You’re welcome. I hope it helps
wow. I never knew about cartridge filters. I just bought a chevy aveo and now know how to do this. Thanks for the help.
They are used on aircraft all the time. It was weird seeing it on a car
What size socket did you use underneath to loosen the oil pan bolt?
I just did the job yesterday, it was a torx bit-but don’t recall which size!
T25 is the most common for Chevy but I don’t remember what size it was from 2 years ago
I used 14.5 Torx for the drain plug. A 15/16 socket for the filter cap

They usually come with seals and gaskets for most applications so you will find extras now and then. Just make sure before you toss them

Let me make clear
No overheating
No milky cap of oil cap nor dip stick
No mixing of oil and coolant
Bcz I dip cotton swab in both underneath oil cap and even in coolant reservoir
Both retained their original color
I don't have white smoke either

@@Boost-EdAutomotive worn bearing won't cause low oil pressure. worn rings will, but not bearings.
@duckkillerclydeclyde good to know. What problems could worn bearings cause? Eventually a spun bearing?
Thank you!!
Good job ❤thank you
