    That intro riff is one of my favorites i ever heard. Mainly the "studio" version, how isolated, almost muddy it sounds.

      It is the greatest riff ever! Helmet was obviously influential to my guitar playing too.

      I would like to point to this specific riff as a key element in popularizing dropped-D tuning, with the ability to quickly slide and hammer-on/pull-off full power chords rather than just single notes. Helmet's style directly led to a new direction in metal (call it nu-metal if you must) that was dominant from the mid 90s to the early 2000s.

      The groove is insane. Almost sludgy.
      I also love the one liner "walk on top, you run beneath" even when i don´t even know what it means haha.

    Man, to be honest, ever since Page brought Helmet back I found most of the old songs mediocre live. I wouldn't mind the different tuning they had while playing them if his shot vocals didn't ruin them.
