Today's video is my install of the new PRL Motorsports Titanium Turbo Inlet. This is pretty much the same install for the Civic FK8 Type R, remember this part is for the Type R. I made it work in my Accord and so can you.
PRL did tell me that they plan on making one that's 100% bolt on for the Accord X though. So, if you aren't in a rush just wait for it. If you are, follow my steps!

You will need these items below to use the Type R inlet in the Accord:

IMPORTANT - Same install would apply to the OEM Type R inlet. There's a vacuum nipple on the stock Accord plastic turbo inlet that you'll need to replicate on whatever inlet you go with.
I will be installing an OEM Type R inlet on Abdulla's car soon and I'll make a video on it with every step for you to do it in your car!

This is by far the best 10th Gen Accord build I have seen. PRL has some really good stuff I see. I have a 2020 Accord Touring and would really like it to look like this some day. I only have 222 miles on it, so I probably shouldn't do any crazy mods like this right now. I have definitely subscribed to your channel.

@@accoRding2Joel one other question. The new PRL titanium silicone intake tube end that connected to the airbox looked like it was 4 inches in diameter. The outlet on the PRL High Volume intake box looked like 2.5" or at least way smaller. Did you have an issue getting a tight seal with that setup?
I'm about install my inlet pipe had a few missing items but headed to honda in morning for parts tuning next last minute problems 😅 always #GhostCv2 bringing that heat .....

hey joel i had a question for my 2.0t accord 6mt! hopefully you’re still active! i wanted to install the type r turbo inlet, does the prl 2.0t honda/acura conversion kit work for the type r inlet?

Is the p2r spacer needed for the type r titanium inlet pipe ? Or was it just for the stock type r inlet ?
Where did you buy you engine cover? The white one, it’s sick.
It came with the car. It comes on the 2.0T. I just painted mine.
Oh ok I see, I’ll order one and paint it myself as well. Is there a specific paint you used or was it just the white pearl High Heat paint?

Hey Joel can you please help explain to me your coolant line setup for this install? The Type-R inlets has a metal turbocharger water pipe that bolts to the front of the inlet. Can you use that setup if you have the correct hoses?
Well that titanium inlet fit on the stock k20c turbo via the type r turbo K20 I fits on the Accord in or just wondering PRL does not have an answer for me
Thanks for the vid. But Do you need to upgrade your turbo to the type R or can you use the inlet for the stock 2.0 accord turbo?
You can use it on stock turbo too with modifications

Did you notice any spool up difference?
Yes, quicker spool and stronger top end
Do you feel the difference on performance
I definitely feel a quicker turbo response

@@accoRding2Joel I just message prl about it titanium fk8 inlet pipe I need to reroute the coolant lines and do some modifications to silicon connected to intake but in you didn’t say it
You think the inlet would work with the k&n intake for the Accord x
Probably not directly... But you can probably modify it.

ACCORDing to Joel Are you waiting for the one from prl? Or you going with something else? I was gonna do the ctr swap but would rather wait to see what prl drops. So far, everything else I got from them has been spot on. I have the front pipe, down pipe, flex fuel, hondata(soon to be ktuner). Buying inter cooler today. Will do that resonator delete at the same time. Thats one of the best cheap mods I’ve seen you do. The one thing I did not get from them was the prl Hvi. I have afe takeda.
@@xgnofearzthe10thgenlegend82 good call on all the mods! The Takeda is honestly the second best intake IMO. So I'd rock that if I were you. I'm waiting for the P600!
