I was just beginning my studies in physics and, as a baby Christian, I was worried that it might lead me away from God. After I had prayed about it, I felt God spoke directly to my heart the words; "science will prove Me, not disprove".
I was going through the same exact struggle, I studied biology but got has it’s ways of showing how great he is. He made miracles in my life and that’s why I’m still a believer.

That's because we know and understand how lighting is created. There is no evidence of a creator involved. That's a fact with everything in the universe. It could be there we would find evidence for a creator or there could be a rational scientific explanation that lead to the big bang. Which is what I feel is far more likely. except she wrong. Science doesn't prove or disprove the existence of God. There things we call physical laws that govern how our universe forums, works and will play it self out. Because of this at the moment of the big bang the Universe was in autopilot.
When you look at the universe around us there is a scientific explanation for everything. We might not have that explanation at the moment but there is one. So for example Lighting. No one would argue that a bolt of Lighting is an act of God. That's because we know and understand how lighting is created. There is no evidence of a creator involved. That's a fact with everything in the universe.
To show evidence of a creator you would have to go back before the big bang. Only we have no information about what existed before the big bang. It could be there we would find evidence for a creator or there could be a rational scientific explanation that lead to the big bang. Which is what I feel is far more likely.
There lot of holes in what she saying. She has no real understanding of science or the universe. There many Atheist and even scientist especially theoretical scientist and astrophysics. that have debunked the bible idea of creation.
Most scientist don't believe in God. Those that do will tell you factually that science offers no evidence for or against a creator. They believe in God not because the science points to one but purely based on faith. There only a small fraction of scientist especially like Astrophysics and Theoretical physicist that actually believe in God.

* When people in the western world didn't understand schizophrenia, they assumed demon possessions.

I've never in my life heard it put to words better! I saved this to show to my 11 yr old who recently asked about evolution v creationism. I struggled a bit to explain it to him in a way he can wrap his 11 yr old brain around it but she puts it into words beautifully.

God doesn't "stand" for anything. God just IS. Believing anything other than that is sin. Things being symbolic is an issue for me with Christianity and its infiltrators. Nothing means anything else. The word is absolute truth. Not to be interpreted. Translated through language yes, as that's something God did as a consequence for those who made the tower of babel toward the sky, believing, just like today, they could reach God. That only made it hard to understand one another. Like how hello is bonjour and also konichiwa, and also aloha, and also Hola. Translated not interpreted. The dead sea scrolls prove that. If you TRANSLATE them not interpret, it's 99 percent the same in every single language the Bible is already translated in. A fact check for those who think it's been changed too much.

I love it how real people stand up for God!!! When you wake up everyday and have that relationship with the lord then you’re never alone. You know he’s walking right next to you and you feel it. I’ve always felt it even as a young kid but I didn’t read scripture then as I got older I found out that what I’ve been feeling my whole life was the lord. The ones with eyes to see and ears to hear will know the lord and it just made me so happy because i have a relationship with him!!! Most people wanna hang out with their celebrity crush or favorite athlete but I have God who is my favorite!! Since I got that relationship, my needs are met!! I got everything I want in life! One day EVERYONE will die. Its life. What I do on earth is just my application to get into heaven so I gotta make a good resume to show the lord I want that job!!
