      We we're lucky tho. Not only did we see these guys we saw Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders and a few others but Barry Sanders was spectacular!!!
      Edit. Barry Bonds, McGwire, Sammy Sosa HR race. Lol. Griffery Jr in his prime. Sports were sports back then bc it was also a common thing to talk trash and stare ppl down in whichever sport. It was called... Getting in their heads. Mind games. Now it's a technical, Flag, Penalty Box, Ejection etc..

    What a time to be alive, look at how young they all are. And there is something just so damn endearing about those handheld camcorders all along court side. So good. Some of these dudes today are flashy and have serious height and style but there’ll never be anything as classic as this event right here.

    20 + yrs later & it’s still the most electrifying slam dunk ever performed by a player VC15, who silences the crowd like VC15 did into complete shock! - to beat Vinces performance you’ll have to combine at least two of his dunks done perfectly into 1 dunk.

    What I like is eventhough vince had the whole crowd and the judges in his hands, Steve and Tracy never stopped fighting. They made vince work for it.

    Dang! It just hit me! Watching Jason Kidd hold that camcorder really shows the essence of this moment in time… watching the crowds these days, you see phones and instant uploads… you had to appreciate the dunk contest and wait for it to be played on tv again 😂

    I remember being a kid and seeing Vince drive the baseline and do the nastiest (in game) double pump reverse dunk in his rookie year. From that point on he became my favorite player. Prior to that it was Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill

    I remember watching this on the couch at my folks place later in my teen years . my buddies started calling after the 1st Carter dunk . His range/motion/flexibility/power on his windmills were the best ever .

    The VC dunk with half of his arm in the rim was a jaw dropping & crowd stunning. Hence the name Half man/ Half Amazing !!! The look on Shaq's, Steve Francis, Michael Keaton, Jason Kidd, Isaiah Thomas face & Kenny Smith's "Can I take a timeout " said it all !!!!
