I would agree that a mistrial favours the Prosecution or Commonwealth in most cases, but not in this case. If you watched the whole trial in conjunction with what was on social media, there was a ton of evidence that came out after each Prosecution witness testified that contradicted what they testified to. One example of many, Colin Albert said he's never been in a fight. After he testified, the defence received multiple videos of Colin Albert bare knuckle fighting. They weren't able to get it into evidence this trial, but you better believe it will be part of the next trial. They will also never be able to separate the evidence from Trooper Proctor. He handled everything.

I am a retired State Trooper, North Carolina. I served 30 years working the road my entire career. I investigated over 14K motor vehicle crashes. This so-called Trooper needs to be fired NOT transferred. He will never ever testify in any case from this day forward therefore, he needs to be fired and charged with PERJURY. Also, a letter needs to be sent to the Training and Standards Division so they can suspend his Law Enforcement Certification so he can never work in Law Enforcement again. I did my part and worked so hard to gain the public trust and this clown has set up back. PATHETIC.

Reading between the lines, Proctor would not have been "relieved of duty" if there had been a guilty verdict. They apologized to the O'Keefe family, as they should, but what about Karen? She deserves an apology because she is the one that was offended. It looks like the government is going to die on the cross that Karen is guilty. They will not continue to look for more evidence of another offender. Their mind was made up within hours of the event.
This trial was an absolute embarrassment for the prosecution and the investigators/ police. I learned a lot about how completely unprofessional they are.

I stopped long time ago before the Karen Read trial even started. I am only here to read the comments. She talkes like she is telling a story to children, or when she talkes to her panel she sounds like a Kindergarten teacher talking to little kids.
Your reporting on this case has been ridiculously bias. It’s been hard to watch. It shades your credibility in my eyes. How anyone can downplay this is beyond me. Let it be you or a family member in this position and see how it feels to have him be lead investigator.

I had a difficult time listening to your bias when you covered this case. I usually turned you off. Others that covered didn't show their bias. Even listening to this, you certainly don't hide how you feel.
I would agree that a mistrial favours the Prosecution or Commonwealth in most cases, but not in this case. If you watched the whole trial in conjunction with what was on social media, there was a ton of evidence that came out after each Prosecution witness testified that contradicted what they testified to. One example of many, Colin Albert said he's never been in a fight. After he testified, the defence received multiple videos of Colin Albert bare knuckle fighting. They weren't able to get it into evidence this trial, but you better believe it will be part of the next trial. They will also never be able to separate the evidence from Trooper Proctor. He handled everything.

Curious as to why they didn’t discuss the FBI hired forensic accident reconstruction experts on this program. They clearly said that John wasn’t hit by a vehicle and the vehicle wasn’t hit by a human. That stood out to me more than anything.

The last 2 defense witnesses were outstanding in evaluating whether John O'keefe was hit by a motor vehicle. Their conclusions are eye opening. The pair were hired by the FBI for a good reason and more developments in this case are expected.

I am a retired State Trooper, North Carolina. I served 30 years working the road my entire career. I investigated over 14K motor vehicle crashes. This so-called Trooper needs to be fired NOT transferred. He will never ever testify in any case from this day forward therefore, he needs to be fired and charged with PERJURY. Also, a letter needs to be sent to the Training and Standards Division so they can suspend his Law Enforcement Certification so he can never work in Law Enforcement again. I did my part and worked so hard to gain the public trust and this clown has set up back. PATHETIC.

Reading between the lines, Proctor would not have been "relieved of duty" if there had been a guilty verdict. They apologized to the O'Keefe family, as they should, but what about Karen? She deserves an apology because she is the one that was offended. It looks like the government is going to die on the cross that Karen is guilty. They will not continue to look for more evidence of another offender. Their mind was made up within hours of the event.

This trial was an absolute embarrassment for the prosecution and the investigators/ police. I learned a lot about how completely unprofessional they are.
Theres no way theyre trying her again. Proctor was a vital part for f their case which is why they risked putting him on the stand. Now that hes fired the defense can use that against him if he testified in a second trial and he would lose all credibility. Without proctor they have nothing.
It's not a good look when a body is found in front of a family friend's house and you pin it on somebody else immediately without even interviewing the people who were there. I don't know if he actually planted evidence or not but he should have recused himself from this case. He's a terrible investigator and thanks to him JO's family will never know what happened because he botched the case. I just wish we knew what the hell was on Brian Albert's and Higgin's phones and if he actually believes trooper paul's ridiculous tale.
