This is a step towards justice. His actions during the investigation were unacceptable. Now, time to prepare to retry Read for her actions.

“No proof he tampered with anything.” Uhhhh technically there’s no proof he did because he covered it up! How do you explain the deleted sallyport video? And the way they tried to reverse the video? If he wasn’t doing anything nefarious (like tampering with evidence) then they would’ve ran the whole case by the books. They would’ve had taken photos of her suv prior to bringing it to the sallyport (not to mention it didn’t even have to be brought that far), had the cameras on and working, not have deleted footage, and on and on and on.
This whole case was mishandled from the beginning, at Proctors hands.
He needs to be charged with official misconduct at the very least and most likely perjury.

This case is so sad because of what the mean girls/boys made sure no one ever knows who killed a son. Uncle. Brother. Because they wanted everyone to believe Ms Reed done it. The FBI is investigating. The results of their investigation will be so damning for Canton PD, including Proctor and the rest. I’m sure they are also looking back at past cases. As a result, the Commonwealth will NOT retry the case against Karen Read. And charges will come for those involved in the cover-up. Get your popcorn.

Also, despite their best efforts to minimize Proctor’s misdeeds as being limited to insensitive comments, in actuality he completely mishandled this investigation and because of it the O’Keefe’s may never have justice for John.
And, if you actually believe (despite all evidence proving the opposite) that KR is guilty then you should be upset at Proctor for royally messing up the entire investigation from start to finish.

Be clear if you’re going to be clear. He didn’t follow ANY protocol during the investigation. No photos of so called damage to the SUV prior to moving it at her parents house or warrants for her phone. And many many more things

I stopped long time ago before the Karen Read trial even started. I am only here to read the comments. She talkes like she is telling a story to children, or when she talkes to her panel she sounds like a Kindergarten teacher talking to little kids.
Your reporting on this case has been ridiculously bias. It’s been hard to watch. It shades your credibility in my eyes. How anyone can downplay this is beyond me. Let it be you or a family member in this position and see how it feels to have him be lead investigator.

Well, it may not be a victory to you, but Karen Read didn’t get escorted out of the building to a prison.
He helped put doubt in people's minds. I'd never trust him. I stayed neutral, which was hard due to his messages. Had I been on the jury, I'd have to say not guilty since his evidence is questionable
But why is it based on the verdict/mistrial? Something should have been done immediately.

I would agree that a mistrial favours the Prosecution or Commonwealth in most cases, but not in this case. If you watched the whole trial in conjunction with what was on social media, there was a ton of evidence that came out after each Prosecution witness testified that contradicted what they testified to. One example of many, Colin Albert said he's never been in a fight. After he testified, the defence received multiple videos of Colin Albert bare knuckle fighting. They weren't able to get it into evidence this trial, but you better believe it will be part of the next trial. They will also never be able to separate the evidence from Trooper Proctor. He handled everything.
Why the house where the murder occurred NEVER was searched? More than that it was SOLD

The last 2 defense witnesses were outstanding in evaluating whether John O'keefe was hit by a motor vehicle. Their conclusions are eye opening. The pair were hired by the FBI for a good reason and more developments in this case are expected.
They waited until the outcome of the trial? What bearing does that have?

Reading between the lines, Proctor would not have been "relieved of duty" if there had been a guilty verdict. They apologized to the O'Keefe family, as they should, but what about Karen? She deserves an apology because she is the one that was offended. It looks like the government is going to die on the cross that Karen is guilty. They will not continue to look for more evidence of another offender. Their mind was made up within hours of the event.
