The problem is thinking it's a mario party game. It's not. It's a single player game with a bunch of mini games, gadgets, and side stories. It's all rather simple, but putting it all together makes it feel more like an adventure game really. 100% this game multiple times as a kid, still holds up very well. Definitely undeserving of being called one of the worst mario party games.
I actually kinda liked this game when I played it on a emulator. Some minigames were fun and the graphics are good but I get where you're coming from. It shouldn't be known as a mario party game since there's no multiplayer and only 4 characters.
Yeah honestly this probably could have been a solid title if this were released on the 3ds or ds with updated graphics of course but it would have been have good but if you're gonna have a game be called mario party and the game has no multiplayer it might as well be called something else feel like it wouldn't be seen nearly as bad if this were just it's own stand alone with all the mario party type boards removed
No, there IS a multiplayer mode. You Can connect two emulator to play with someone. Thé multiplayer mode Has others minigames

I loved this game so much ! The only thing was after you beat the story there’s really not much to do since you’ve collected all the gadgets and mini games by then so at that point it’s just free play with no goal . However , I do feel like the little story mode gave so much life to the characters

I love the Mario&Luigi Saga(dream team, Bowser Story, partners in time, etc.) graphics

It's NOT bad, growing up my cousins and I would pass around my GBA and see how far we could get, I love this game!
Okay but as a single-player experience, it's not all bad. Couple fun minigames, plenty of "gadgets" to play with which were interesting, and honestly some fun character interactions in the main game. While definitely the least "Party" of a Mario Party title, it's got some charms to it in my opinion
I plan on getting this game along with Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World and Grand Theft Auto Advance once I get myself a GameBoy Advance SP.

It's a single player mario party so it's just good :)
I loved back then. They at least had a physical board game mode to compensate for it

Ok honestly there are a little bit of redeeming qualities, and it’s not technically the worst in the series like are you really gonna tell me that 10 and top 100 are better
But it’s still pretty bad not that bad I think it’s fine not good not bad just fine, but it’s definitely not the best one
it inspired the car idea for mario party 9 and 10 also the character roster is chopped liver pizza
perfect game to put on NSO so people can play it online with each other easily

I would rather play 10 for 24 hours straight then play Advance for an hour. 10 can at least be ironically fun
Not a complaint (more of a missed opportunity than anything else), but I do wish that inserting a Mario Party Advance game-pak inside a Nintendo DS containing a Mario Party DS game-card was somewhat useful, such as unlocking Advance-exclusive minigames & getting to play them on Mario Party DS!
Mario Party Advance was my favorite Mario Party game.
It's a great game with a phenomenal soundtrack. I don't think it's fair to compare it to other games in the series because they restructured the whole thing to make it a singleplayer adventure experience.
Did I mention the soundtrack is effin awesome?

They tried something new Make the first Mario party on a handheld console just like what they did with Mario Kart on the gameboy advance.
They should have placed it on the gameboy color
It's not bad to begin with. "Lacking multiplayer" is not a valid criticism for a game that's intended to be a single player experience.
Nintendo pls put this game on the switch online. Gba sett, then everyone would be able to play multiplayer togheder on mario Party advance

It's not advance It's downgrade.

@@iLoveBread260there still is some still but not indeed as much of mario party 1-8 but there are bosses and the minigames are way better! :) and when I play mario party 1-8 with friends we sure have some fun but just not as much of 9-10 there happends so msnny crazy thing and yeah each board is a line but it's somehow still so fun. And I dint even mention bowser mode, that is just de best mode outside of mario party modes in mario party history. I know it's unbalanced but than just put the few computer players at hard in mario party modus or just have a crazy time just in how it chould by. I only don't like that there is 10 minigames hopefully will there cone a port to the switch with that fixed but they stopped making ports and it would not happend anyway but I could always dream about it.
