Wow.. random reflective moment. I started watching & following you back before you had even started PA school (in that OG Be Positive Squad!😅), & at the time I was still in undergrad unsure about PA. Now here I am in my didactic year of PA school & you’re almost done! Your videos honestly helped solidify this profession and passion for me 😊 thanks for being awesome! Great vid! I agree on a lot of this. So far, I’ve found OnlineMedEd great for overview of high yield concepts. I also love the USMLE step 1 for all the same reasons. Other resources I’ve heard good things about from my classmates are picmonic and exam master!
Dove! Youre an OG OG. So happy to hear youre in didactic! Thanks for all your support on this journey and hope your journey is just as awesome! Picmonic and ExamMaster are both great resources I agree!
Thanks for mentioning USMLE Step 1; a lot of PAsin various blogs have recommended STEP 2, but I’d think it’d be important to be as prepared foundation wise. Another good source is Ninja Nerd Science, (the instructor is a PA)who does a GREAT Job at explaining fundamentals.
Bernard Bethel Ninja Nerd Science is amazing! He has saved me with so many difficult to grasp concepts in physio. 🙏🏼 - I have read this a lot, too. Re: Step 2 > Step 1. I really wanted to buy one of the first aid books, but I don’t know which one to get, and I don’t want to waste money.
Little late on notification squad! Awesome content as always about PA school life James! Im a current junior at UCI with aspirations to become a PA as well. Thanks for creating content I look forward to every time bro!
I was wondering what you majored in for your undergrad? I’m very interested in the PA field but I’ve heard a lot of different things so if you feel like sharing I would love it! 😃
Hey! Since all schools are different in terms of pre-reqs needed to get into the program, I am nervous I won't be as prepared as I could... I have not taken Genetics, Biochem, or Orgo, and do not plan to. I was just going to apply to schools that don't require these courses. Obviously taking the extra courses would put me in a better position, however, I'd like to know what pre-reqs you'd say make up the majority of the curriculum?
Hey Kayla! Don't worry, PA programs will have the necessary classes in their curriculum for you to do well. Honestly, I didn't carry a lot over from undergrad to PA school. Everything you need to know, you'll be taught in PA school!
Hi,Can you pls tell me the procedure to apply for PA school for a foreign student who has completed Pharm.D? Is it a smart move to do after Pharm.D? What is the exact duration?
Hey, Can you please help me? I couldn’t find the resources to study for PA-CAT? and do we have exam centers in Nepal? and I need to know a lot of things. Can you share your email, I need few more informations from you. Thank you.
God bless you. Your videos are so helpful to a current PA student like me and you helped me A LOT in my pre-pa journey
hey man so how is it working as a PA now? Do you get the pay and respect you think you deserve?
This is very helpful
Skip to 4:00 for the resources
