Redneck Sniper Your uncle is a very lucky man. I have bought hundreds of thousands of wheat cents over the years to coin search and I have yet to find one, however one day a few years ago at Jim Dimmick coins in Fayetteville North Carolina, I was waiting to buy up all of Mr. Dimmick's wheat cents, when a young 9 year old kid and his dad were also there to get the young many some wheat cents to search. He only bought the kid $10 worth and I bought everything else Mr. Dimmick had. That kid sat at a table in the shop and started searching, while his dad, Mr. Dimmick, and myself talked. a few minutes later the kid was freaking out....he found a 1955 doubled die. vf-20 too. I didn't find anything good I'm my batch...but was happy to see the young man find a nice valuable awesome doubled die. (sorry for the long story)
@@CoinOppLtd please brother i want your whatsapp number I've same coins from 1942 and more old coins I just want to know worth please tell me where can I talk to you
This is a video for the newer coin searchers or anyone wanting to know some valuable coins to look for in pocket change. There are 100's more worth really good money as well. This is just a short list.
the 1943 steel cent is very common and worth about .15-.25cents in circulated condition. They minted p-684,628,670 s-191,550,000 and d- 217,660,000. now there is a rare variety for the 1943 where some of them were minted on copper/bronze intead of steel. There are around 12 philadelphia mint examples known and 1 sanfransico mint example known to exist.

I have a lot of old coins, including a box of pennies I wound up with after a divorce: those were my ex's father's, and that father died probably 30 or more years ago. I have my mother's coin collection, too, including lots of coins from all over the world. I also own several good magnifying glasses. As a former librarian, I love the hunt! This video has prompted me to want to start paying more attention to my pocket change, plus I think I'll have another look at those collections in my stash! Thank you so much for sparking my interest in a new hobby that sounds like so much fun!
Dana Byrd well she did real good. it's a trick coin sold at joke shops and magic shops. they retail for between $3.95-$4.95. The mint has never put out a 2 headed coin, and with the way the minting process occurs, it is impossible for it to even happen as an error.
when my daughter was young I was telling her how to look for coins that are worth money, and she happened to mention that she had a quarter that was double stamped but she used it in the vending machine for Coca Cola about a month back I wanted to die
I'm a novice coin collector from Canada and I do come across some American coins in my travels. I will certainly keep a sharper eye out now, before I throw them in my foreign coin jar. Thanks
Pennies. My mother started a collection for me in the 70's. My goal is to collect one from every year since they started minting them. Still have a few (rare and expensive ones) to go to complete it. And now that Canada has stopped minting pennies (2012) I can concentrate on completing all my silvers.
Enjoyed your video, I have been collecting coins for over 40 years and you showed me a couple i didn't know about. I have albums filled with many different error coins. I find it fun to search through coins and when you find one it's like hitting a hole in one while golfing, which I have only done once in 20 years lol. PreciousRareFind Wow great questions!!! With they way the market is looking, i think it would be a great time to start hoarding gold and silver. Prices have come down drastically...eventually the market will turn back around and then that gold and silver will be worth a nice premium. Not all values i listed are for uncirculated coins. If you happen to have any of these, i would strongly suggest checking ebay past auction records and Heritage coin auctions past records to determin a fair current market value.
PreciousRareFind Hey PRF, I don't know if your ? was towards me? I would hold on to any of your coins you feel or have found to be worth more for numismatically or for their metal content. I feel silver junk/ .999 is going to increase in value up to 50 times current value if an economic collapse is to occur. Buy in lower denominations as dimes and quarters for barter. this is only my opinion. Take care and God bless.

+Toni Moore it's not silver, it steel. In 1943 they needed the copper for the war effort. So they minted the Lincoln cents in steel. A 1943 steel cent is worth between 15 cents and a buck in circulated condition. Uncirculated they are worth a few bucks to hundreds for higher grade examples.

ubb4me unfortunately no, in the 70's and earlier for Philadelphia mint dimes they didn't put a mintmark. So it's a regular business strike Philadelphia minted dime.
Yes its worth at least $1. Lol The coin you have is an Eisenhower Dollar. they are getting harder and harder to find. Uncirculated examples bring in between $5-30 currently. Hang onto it.
On the Lincoln cent all except 1922 with no mint mark were minted in the Philadelphia mint. In 1922 ONLY Denver mint (D below date) was the only mint manufacturing the Lincoln cent so if you should find a 1922 without a D mint mark it is a scarce coin and even in low grades will bring a good premium. Good Luck and Happy Hunting.
PINKY Zz wow, i do have some from the 18oos but i purchased them. without buying the oldest for me is 1940s. i currently live in panama and there are a lot of old coins all over. everytime that i go out, i come back with 1950s and 60s coins.
there's a book called "strike it rich with pocket change" error coins. i have the 2nd. edition. there should be a newer one out. it's a good ref. book to have....glta
One of my favorites! Ken Potter (co author of Strike it rich with pocket change) , has become a bit of a friend over the years. A few of my videos were done at his suggestion, and he has let me use some of his images and articles. Another excellent book to have is Cherry Pickers ( 2 book series).
Heather Laurenvil I would search for a coin store in your area by using your Yellow Pages or go online and do a search for coin buyers/collectors in your area. Good Luck!
TMG Rambo oh shut up, you muppet. this is the age of the internet. if you so badly want to know how to make money off of the coins, google the information. the guy puts up a video of potentially valuable coins and you also want him to hand-walk to the correct place to cash in on them, you bloody Muppet.
I recently found a solid gold $5, 1911 Indian Head coin. Probably the coolest coin I've ever seen. Never seen a $5 coin before and not sure if they all are solid gold but this one definitely is. Sure would like to get it appraised.
SolomonsWisdom100 it takes time... 100's of hours searching. It's best to get yourself a 16 or 20 times loupe that fits in your pocket to keep with you to search your change. I buy OBW rolls from dealers and 25 dollars coin bricks from the bank. I have found and made a lot from finding varieties and error coins and even key dates! I have one I'm selling now for 1500.00. You don't really get rich off this hobby unless you know how to turn it into a business or get lucky with a rare coin. It's mainly for enjoyment, relaxation and to build a collection. numismatics is fascinating ❤️
Don't forget silver coins, pre 1965...found a silver quarter and some nickels going thru my coin jar yesterday. They're not worth a whole lot but they're silver and better chance of finding
Oh. Cool. Thanks a bunch. I just used $3.38 in coins to help buy a milkshake and fries at McDonald's. I wish I knew about checking the coins first. I am observant and notice things and I have seen that some coins are different.
I have a gold dollar with no date on the side and a gold dollar with Sacajawea on it too. I live where there are no one whom checks coins. What should I do?
Thank you for this video! I just can't stand the thought of spending 'change' that could be worth more than it's face value and this gives me somewhere to start. How about a beginners/pre-school introduction video? What is the phrase you're using in your descriptions? "in the verse", and it's meaning? And, is there a reason you don't do the coins in order, so to speak, by face values and years, or at least pennies, nickels, dimes, etc? Be easier , for me, at least, to list and look for them that way. Thank you, again.
+Judith Walker I have a coupled hundred videos on my channel on this exact topic. So browse some of my other videos. I have beginner coin searching videos for beginners on most of the different denominations.
Thanks for the Video !! Shutter to think how many I have "Spent" or Given to the Change Machine at the bank. My Father and Grandfather (Especially) Always Checked their Change. My Dad actually has some Silver Dimes ! Time For me To Start to Follow in their Footsteps.
I remember when I was growing up and there were all kinds of coins in circulation: Indian Head and 'zinc' pennies; V nickels; Mercury dimes; Peace silver dollars; a few Morgan's were still around; buffalo nickels were really common. That all changed by the end of the 60s. Really by the early 60s it was getting hard to find much of anything in pocket change.
my god dude any idea on which i might actually have a chance finding in all my change,i must mention I'm pretty UNLUCKY LoL well actually sniffle sniffle :(
When I first started looking for "Varieties" in change it took some time, mainly because I didn't know what to look for and I didn't have a trained eye. Today I go to coin stores, coin shows, pocket change and I find no less than 5 varieties each week. Bottom line, look, look and look some more and soon you will be finding a variety almost every week. Good Luck and happy hunting.
onewheelup lol...awww me too..I put the "un "..in "unlucky"..! I can relate to "unlucky"..! So i am saying...Sure you can..!.! And i hope you do..! Find an "75"..with noooooooo S..
Great video.Very informative.Thanks.When I was an apprentice toolmaker in the '80s I made many double sided coins from two legitimate coins. They were impossible to tell.Any toolmakers out there will know how I did this if I say :surface grinder, double sided tape(for non ferris coins),dept mic,v-block,super glue, fine emery paper and lapping paste.Don't get your knickers in a twist Americans :-/ ,I only did this with Irish coins to win coin flips at the pool table :-) ... when I was a very young kid well my family collected silver dollers and we also would get them for Christmas. My stepfather kept them in his room and my sister and I would have friends over sometimes. yup someone stole them and rite till his dying day he blamed me. Every time he would remember that they were gone I would end up getting the belt. Not always good memories when it comes to saving coins.
Coin Opp He said they were worth tons of money but hey that was 40 years ago and they and my parents all gone sad to say but it wasn't me I didn't take them. What do they say stuff happens but I went on to collect coins and they always went to my middle child ,I never kept them. I was the middle child. I think now my daughter has over 600 of the silver quarters. Thank you for answering back .
No Pituitary and a poor working Hypothalamus wow she's working on one heck of a collection. Well I'm glad to hear that collecting is still a family hobby....just a more positive one for you. lol.
thank you so much now i know what to look for , just brought a bunch of sliver dimes, 1963, 62, and 64. not knowing what to look for just decide to collect.
Martinez Feliciano what you are describing is a Philadelphia mint 1999 Lincoln cent. the a and m touch is the design that's supposed to be present. It's worth only face value. On Lincoln cents no mintmark means it was minted in Philadelphia. 😀 Thanks for your view and your comment!!!
Oh, I got change from a vending machine and in it was a 1964 nickel with no tails side, it had a raised round dome in the middle of it. Have you ever heard of one like it?
wow!!!!!! I love this channel of yours!!!!! Great presentation!!!! thank you for sharing!!!!!!10 stars ****************"**"**"""***"" I overdid the stars must be worth alot !!!!
Thanks for the info! I see so many comments complaining on where to sell them. I can't believe how lazy people are! HEY SHITHEADS, HOW ABOUT LOOK IT UP!!! I mean damn, you'll need someone to hold your hands or what?!!
Seeing this video makes me so angry that I never knew this things, I do metal detecting and I have found over $3,000.00 in coins that without checking I have turned into the banks, who knows how many of these coins I may have found and not known about? Thank you for the video and yes, I subscribed.
Thanks for your video and you did a great job showing and describing what to look for without going on and on. It was to the point and thanks again. I don't give to many comments unless I really enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work!
You could honestly make a good living at coin trading/collecting sounds like....depending on your luck and having that knowledge & keen eye for these things. Definitely interested now just to see what I find in my grandfathers giant jars of old change.

why do aot of pennies have no mint marks.. and a 1776-1976 sometimes does not have the mint mark
On the Lincoln cent all except 1922 with no mint mark were minted in the Philadelphia
mint. In 1922 ONLY Denver mint (D below date) was the only mint manufacturing the Lincoln cent so if you should find a 1922 without a D mint mark it is a scarce coin and even in low grades will bring a good premium. Good Luck and Happy Hunting.
Brilliant and nobody else is doing this on You Tube that I can find, so I am fascinated.
Well thank you. It is a niche' so im not to surprised there are not alot of other channels doing similar. lol Thank you for your view!!
I have bunches of old coins gonna search! whew whoooo!
Jacqueline Ramphal
Jacqueline Ramphal same i even have some in my piggy bank most of them go back to 1920s
PINKY Zz wow, i do have some from the 18oos but i purchased them. without buying the oldest for me is 1940s. i currently live in panama and there are a lot of old coins all over. everytime that i go out, i come back with 1950s and 60s coins.
PINKY Zz good to know thanks can't wait to see more
Coins are my thing. Been collecting since I was a young boy. Good video
+Rusty2238 thank you
there's a book called "strike it rich with pocket change" error coins.
i have the 2nd. edition. there should be a newer one out.
it's a good ref. book to have....glta
One of my favorites! Ken Potter (co author of Strike it rich with pocket change) , has become a bit of a friend over the years. A few of my videos were done at his suggestion, and he has let me use some of his images and articles. Another excellent book to have is Cherry Pickers ( 2 book series).
What about 1988 quarter
my Mother loves coins so she is going to love this channel
+Deborah Lowe send her a link!!!!
If i find one of these where do I sale it?
Heather Laurenvil I would search for a coin store in your area by using your Yellow Pages or go online and do a search for coin buyers/collectors in your area. Good Luck!
TMG Rambo oh shut up, you muppet. this is the age of the internet. if you so badly want to know how to make money off of the coins, google the information. the guy puts up a video of potentially valuable coins and you also want him to hand-walk to the correct place to cash in on them, you bloody Muppet.
Patricia Kelley Plaugher
play nice! smile!
eBay is the best for selling them!
I recently found a solid gold $5, 1911 Indian Head coin. Probably the coolest coin I've ever seen. Never seen a $5 coin before and not sure if they all are solid gold but this one definitely is. Sure would like to get it appraised.
A trustworth local dealer can help or send it to Pcgc, ngc, or anacs and get it graded slabbed.
if you find a rare coin how do you find a buyer?
SolomonsWisdom100 eBay or facebook has groups for selling and trading coins. Good luck!
cheers haven't found one yet LOL
Karahbell u want buy old coin
Don't forget silver coins, pre 1965...found a silver quarter and some nickels going thru my coin jar yesterday. They're not worth a whole lot but they're silver and better chance of finding
Yep. This video is on modern coins. coins pre 65 are not considered modern so i didnt mention them.
Hi. How do you get money for these coins?
+wrestlingfan4ever76 eBay, Facebook, heritage coin auctions, local dealer, craigslist, letgo, OfferUp, Etsy, are just a few suggestions.
Oh. Cool. Thanks a bunch. I just used $3.38 in coins to help buy a milkshake and fries at McDonald's. I wish I knew about checking the coins first. I am observant and notice things and I have seen that some coins are different.
Great video, thank-you for sharing! Still can't believe people would pay big bucks for a flaw on a penny!
+Vicky Mcfadden you would be amazed at some past auction results.
This was a great video!!!one??where would u turn these in for cash??

I have a gold dollar with no date on the side and a gold dollar with Sacajawea on it too. I live where there are no one whom checks coins. What should I do?
I have been looking through change for years. I have some different one's
Love love this site
Thank you!! I have alot more that i will be uploadiing so stay tuned!!
Awesome! Thanks.
I never would've thought, wow this is cool!
The only one I knew about was the double leaf Wisconsin quarter.
+JOHN PRIGGE there are thousands more varieties then what I'm even showing. Lol.

Time For me To Start to Follow in their Footsteps.
I FOUND 2 PENNIES WITH THE A AND M TOUCHING
Who do we sell them too?
Wonderful channel and an excellent source of information for us, coin lovers.
Thank you!! I ahve alot more we are working on, and some ready for upload so stay tuned.
I have a 2000 close AM PENNY
Pzycho Abject can i have it? Lol jk...n "congratulations"!
So of all the thousands of pennies I've converted at the green machine I could have potentially given away $$$
they probably run through the coins after they are exchange to find some of the easy "money maker" coins
yep. Lol. Try not to think about it.
i wsouldnt doubt it.
Coin Opp I have 3 1969 American double dye s pennies I want to sell who buys them my name is catherine from Cambridge Ontario please help
Catherine Maclellan are you sure about that?
do people actually buy this ?
YES lots of people!!
I love looking at old coins you just gave me some good info
my god dude any idea on which i might actually have a chance finding in all my change,i must mention I'm pretty UNLUCKY LoL well actually sniffle sniffle :(
When I first started looking for "Varieties" in change it took some time, mainly because I didn't know what to look for and I didn't have a trained eye.
Subscribed.
when I was a very young kid well my family collected silver dollers and we also would get them for Christmas. My stepfather kept them in his room and my sister and I would have friends over sometimes. yup someone stole them and rite till his dying day he blamed me. Every time he would remember that they were gone I would end up getting the belt. Not always good memories when it comes to saving coins.
No Pituitary and a poor working Hypothalamus I'm sorry to hear that.
Well I'm glad to hear that collecting is still a family hobby....just a more positive one for you. lol.
So true and she also works for the supreme Court of Canada . I am very proud of her.
No Pituitary and a poor working Hypothalamus
thank you so much now i know what to look for , just brought a bunch of sliver dimes, 1963, 62, and 64. not knowing what to look for just decide to collect.
hi I have 1 cent from 1999 don't get the letter and am is touching
Martinez Feliciano what you are describing is a Philadelphia mint 1999 Lincoln cent. the a and m touch is the design that's supposed to be present. It's worth only face value. On Lincoln cents no mintmark means it was minted in Philadelphia. 😀 Thanks for your view and your comment!!!
How much is it worth
Martinez Feliciano face value....1 cent
Only one of these coins I knew about, the 1972 double struck penny. Excellent and informative video! Thank you for sharing! I subscribed.
Oh, I got change from a vending machine and in it was a 1964 nickel with no tails side, it had a raised round dome in the middle of it. Have you ever heard of one like it?

+Josh Smith ruclips.net/video/GolNkkt8coQ/видео.html
Thanks for the info! I see so many comments complaining on where to sell them. I can't believe how lazy people are! HEY SHITHEADS, HOW ABOUT LOOK IT UP!!! I mean damn, you'll need someone to hold your hands or what?!!
calm down. The world doesn't need to be at your "standards"
Seeing this video makes me so angry that I never knew this things, I do metal detecting and I have found over $3,000.00 in coins that without checking I have turned into the banks, who knows how many of these coins I may have found and not known about? Thank you for the video and yes, I subscribed.

Really cool and informative. It would be nice to know how many incidents of each coin there are, is there any way of knowing approximately how many.
+jeff m yes. There is a rarity scale for most varieties. It's cross checked amongst the known population of graded certified examples.
I have a 2016 $1 dollar coin and I understand it has the purchasing power of nearly 4 cents on the open market.
+The Swamp Fox in time I would like to eventually purse getting into selling, for now I just search and cherrypick and amass a nice collection.

+Real Men: A Dying Breed it's best not to rush into this hobby. Taking your time is smart!!
I have a jar of pennies dating back to 1912 and I am going to try to find some of these!💰
Oh i am jealous. There are alot of wheat cent varieties to look for as well. like the 1922 plain or 1917 ddo, 1936 ddo,1955 ddo...ect
Dang, while working at Mini Marts I use to put coins aside the look off in one way or another but the books I had of the misprints did not show most of these.
Looking forward to more like this...
Alot more in production. stay tuned!!

After a dozen or so, I go cross eyed and dizzy and can't tell what I'm looking at ... need to get a magnifying glass..
JDRTRM JDRTRM jewelers loupe. you can get one for a couple bucks. get at least a 10times magnification.
if any of these or others are found and dirty/tarnished is it recommended soaking in coke for cleaning, or how should or should no be cleaned?
DO NOT CLEAN COINS!! Collectors want them as is. If you clean them you ruin any value. Just dont. If you feel they have lots of dirt maybe hot soapy water and a q tip.
sweet thanks
I collect coin and love videos like this .
Put a battery in your detector.
very nice video man I just got into coin hunting myself and it's amazing on what you can find then what's out there luckily I can find one of these soon
