Mom gave me the dinosaur 25 cent coin for christmas one year with a little flashlight thing that shows up the skeleton in the dinosaur. Its pretty cool.
Awesome info. New sub here. Just confirmed I have the snow on tree's version toonie...I had zero idea what the hell it was trying to represent. Confirmed they do glow in dark too..🙃
Wow, didnt realize I was already a member of your FB group, I have 3 extra sail HMS Shannon fresh from the mint roll. Still need to send them off to get graded
Ignore Mister Boohoo’s comment….you can sell them on several Facebook groups, Marketplace, online auction sites. You just need todo a little homework first to research their value. Take the book price and generally deduct 60-70%. On those of low circulation you can put on auction sites and see where it goes. There are coin dealers AND collectors who want what you have for as little as they can pay. But you are the seller. You do have the control of who you want to sell to and for what value. Good luck!

Let me save you some time. There are no valuable twonies, there are a central bank fiat currency loaned to Canada with interest attached, with makes them essentially worthless. The collector stuff won’t hold its value in the future, who will want the reminder of an instrument of debt slavery?
@@Hershey1000 yeah I know how it’s spelled, that’s called affect. Also it’s a TWO dollar coin right not an ALSO ( too ) coin, it really should have been TWOnie all along but we Canadians seem as though we’re TOO stupid to understand that.
@@Hershey1000 here’s the problem with the logic you displayed here: the loonie as you point out was named after the loon one of Canada’s treasured birds the toonie was a sad copy of the word which took zero imagination or creativity. You just did more to prove my point than you did to disprove it.
@@Hershey1000 but the word play was hardly the point of my original comment. The point is the currency Canada is loaned is an instrument of debt slavery. If you have zero dollars and someone loans you a dollar but to pay it back you have to pay a dollar and 15 cents, you’ll never get out of debt. Now do that to an entire country and what do you have, debt slaves!
Hello I have been collecting Canadian coins for quite some time I do have the Aurora Borealis.. I'm looking to sell it so if you would contact me I would appreciate it thank you so much

Short answer, no. A few key dates exist and those can be worth something. Buy a Cdn coins and currency book and educate yourself. If you don't educate yourself you'll never know what you have. Don't take someone else's opinion of what your coins are worth.
@@FrankySilverFace last time I checked it suggested it was like 500$ to 10000$ I just happend to have a few in my collection. I got unciculated 2$ bills last year made. And I got that snow glow in the dark coin a few of them. Sometimes I just think only guys easy parted with money collect them.
