Out of all the wet markets that exist in China, it just so happened to start in a place where they just so happen to have a lab. Must be a total coincidence.
Coincidences do happen, although it's absolutely possible that it leaked from the lab. After all, Chinese society is known for cutting corners. But also, people probably underestimate the number of labs which hold these types viruses. We're talking 60 labs across the world with that rating, and over a thousand labs with a slightly lower biosafety rating. So regardless of where this happened, there's a fairly high chance that a BSL-4 or BSL-3 lab would be nearby. And let's not forget why we study viruses in the first place... it's because these things occur in nature.

GOF entails increasing transmissibility and pathogenesis. Allowing transmission to occur is not the same as increasing transmissibility. Stanley Perlman, a microbiologist at the University of Iowa, says he did not think there was anything in the EcoHealth grant description that would be gain-of-function research(in the Wuhan institute)

As someone who's not anti-vax and simply doesn't trust the lack of transparency and censorship surrounding this vaccine, I found it to be completely insulting. I am not a fan of political Joe Rogen, (but he does a great job in the UFC, a sport I admire much because of it's individuality), but I will give him big props for listening to things that probably don't make him comfortable, showing, he is searching for truth. I couldn’t decipher anything the first speaker said. Slow it the h down. However, i am glad I stayed with it because the gal at the 2 min mark was far more calm and rational. So regardless of where this happened, there's a fairly high chance that a BSL-4 or BSL-3 lab would be nearby. And let's not forget why we study viruses in the first place... it's because these things occur in nature.

I was in D.C. in January and there were Chinese immigrants everywhere warning about the CCP and a lot of them handed out flyers about the CCP wanting to take over the US too. I couldn’t decipher anything the first speaker said. Slow it the h down. However, i am glad I stayed with it because the gal at the 2 min mark was far more calm and rational. She didn’t assume I understood what “gain of function” even means and tried to explain.

They are awake but not long ago you'd get censored for simply questioning the origin of the virus. This all got politicized into attaching the lab leak theory with somehow supporting Trump. It turned into a political scoreboard somehow. Doing a scientific investigation in to the origin of a global pandemic should have nothing to do with American partisan politics yet here we are.
