- Here is a short video to show you how to restart and bleed an oil burner that ran out of home heating oil. The burner featured in this video is a Beckett. This will show you the steps necessary to restart and bleed your system and get you back online!
If in doubt, call a professional! Though simple to do, if in doubt, can in an expert.

Mine was in empty, too. I tried it, and it didn't work. From shutting off, switch to breaker and bleeding. Hit the red reset button as well and nothing. I have no choice but to call the oil company back. It's costing me $200 for them to come out. I wanna cry! 😫

I paid for Oil with Value Oil Company (MA) but Fraticelli Oil came instead. Weird, and this is me ordering at Value Oil website. I don't recommend them, ever!!
So, roughly $506.00 for 150 gallon. I emailed them to ask for help because I'm sort of clueless in that area. My dad passed, and I have no family & no help here. Value Oil said they'll send someone out & a guy from Fraticelli Oil shows up again but not the same person, though. 🤔😳😳
When I followed your steps, I didn't hear any air hissing. Mind you, I told the guy the same thing when he arrived.
They sent a guy out & charged me $200 for what they call a "Prime." Overnight, my arse, guy came out around 4 p.m. He did the same thing that you and I did for 10 to 15 mins only and gave up. It was not spitting out liquid the way it should. The flow was very slow. Some type of light red or pink particles came out when he was trying to bleed it.
He felt awful and then told me a story. He stated that when he started, he had to You Tube videos to at the person's home he was at cause he had no clue!! Every so often, when he encounters this type of situation, he can't fix or do anything else.
I done lost it inside but held it together. Lol. I thought he was going to try something else for the amount I paid, right? NOPE!
So he texted his boss & his boss recommended for me to get "SERVICE" done. I emailed for some type of reimbursement, and no, I was not expecting the whole $200. Something back in return would be nice since him & his boss couldn't figure it out!! No reimbursement from Value Oil or Fraticelli Oil. So if anyone is in MA, think twice!! My advice is to find a company to come and do service, so you're not charged for bullsh*ts. Or take your time, do some research & then fix it yourself. I could have done all that myself of I knew, but I didn't. 😂
Anyhoots, I called a service guy & he came right away. Told me $175.00 over the phone, then lead to dam well about $425.50. Wtf! Yep, I wanted to holler arse. Took him less than 1 hour and there goes my lifes savings. 😂 Now that I know what to do, I'll do it myself. LMAO.
So, the service guy said that it's probably because of the gunk that's under the oil tank that has built up overtime. I didn't know when I purchased this house. Lol.
So he replaced the grey AMTROL EXTROL for $163. The release valve $35.55 and air vent $25.95.
I didn't think the 2 was necessary to replace. It's the 30 psi release valve & air vent because that was still new. But he stated otherwise and also stated how he didn't like it. 🙄
If I had known much more about the expenses of owning a house, I would have waited or went a different route. 🤣😂😂
Now, I can't wait to get rid of it because this is not my forever home. 🤦♀️ Life's lesson for sure. 😹

Hello! Seriously, I couldn't agree more. Sad, for sure. 😔 I'll spend an extra $5 or $10 from here on out with another oil company. Oil price may be cheap with them, but not worth my hard work, earn money. I'll take it somewhere else.
I can now definitely relate & understand why so many are afraid or what have you due to something like this. It is a bit scary & nerve reckoning.

Why would your genisys 7505 red light not light
I ran out of oil. My bad. Once it runs out of oil, it shuts off.
Once the burner is Entergizrd should the reset light up ? I've got power to it ? The fan comes on
@@robertbobinis3076 You may have to press the reset button. Push the button in and hold it. It may take up to 10 seconds to reset, depending on your model. Good luck.
I press the restart button they com on yellow light and after just shut off again
